We aren't beer and wine people but definitely margarita people. I think having a specialty drink is a good idea. I get so bummed when I go to weddings with only beer and wine. I drink it anyways but it's not as fun and I get nasty hangovers!

Carrying the dress around was the biggest PIA. My first flight didn't have a closet- it was a tiny ass plane. My dress got stored in the overhead bin- thankfully no one put any luggage in with it. My connecting flight put it in the 1st class closet- but it's like a half closet so it got all bunched up at the bottom. I traveled spring break and was able to find spots for my dress so I'm sure most girls shouldn't have too much problems. As for favors and my centerpieces, I packed them in my suitcase. I didn't designate a specific suitcase for it, but instead rolled the breakables in my clothes. Nothing broke thankfully.

Ooops- don't mean to worry you. I bet your honey is more careful than mine. My dad was the worst culprit though. I was totally bossy too. Even if you mark rooms though, stuff gets shuffled everywhere. During the move, I lost a BM dress. Luckily I found it after a week. My recommendation- get drunk and then it's all peachy. haha

My parents carried an extra suitcase for me too. Crap with all these new rules that totally sucks for our DW brides. Thankfully I didn't bring much for the wedding, but I sure did pack a lot of clothes and crap.

I like to vacuum but i hate all other cleaning. For whatever reason I will start cleaning something- say go through all my makeup/ beauty crap and the next thing I know I have a larger mess than I started with and spent 3 hours rummaging through the crap instead of just sorting out the crap and getting rid of it.

March 28 was our original date and bumped it up to the 27th because it wasn't available. So we kinda have the same date.

Here's a pic of my sisters hair at the wedding. I thought it was adorable and maybe another bride wants to use it. Here's a crappy pic of mine. I took it myself to see what my hair looked like. I forgot to bring a travel mirror to see the back.

I just read your recent post- my FI's family didn't commit on coming until a month before the wedding. It took them awhile and we were sad the whole time they wouldn't be coming. In the end, they really surprised us. I'm sure your FI's family will suck it up in the end and go- especially if they have the money!

I think you have received some good advice thus far. In my opinion, the safest way to figure it all out is to have a chat with your FI. Figure out earlier on what you will do in case people you really want there can't afford it. For us, we were doing it no matter what. Some loved ones couldn't come and we were heartbroken. In the end, it was worth it though. My guests all paid about $1500 per person for a week at an AI- including airfare. Everyone that went had an incredible time.

I have a huge rib cage too! Weird. I always have a hard time wearing tops or dress that zip up.

Such a cute dress. I love BJ. Her stuff is always so fun!

Oh and did you guys notice that the reception floor was covered in rose petals? I wish I could paste the pic here, but I don't know how to when it's adobe flash player!

That is great Carly. Good customer service is so rare these days so it definitely brightens the day when you find it.

I think that's a great idea Maura. Even though your sister is being a jerk, I'd hate for all this to cause some underlying issues for you both to deal with for a long time. When families fight (even if its for a worthy reason), it's still sad and no one really wins. Hopefully your sister will wake up quick. I think you should really have a heart to heart with her.

She didn't have a website when I booked her either. She's Las Caletas recommended photog now so that's cool. Amyh had directed me to her so I should thank Amy!

I won't celebrate with you yet. Moving sucks We moved last month and while I tried to hide and wait to all the heavy lifting was done, I still had tons to do. Plus the guys were so rough I keep finding little dings in ALL our furniture. So make sure you are there to supervise!

I had a TTD planned but I was too sick. The wedding sapped so much energy from me, I just didn't think I could do it. I kinda regret not though. I could have sucked it up for a few hours but at the time I just felt so relieved I had a moment to relax. I can't wait to see photos either! I'm so excited. When I first booked her, her portfolio wasn't this big. Seeing the new page with all the photos really made me so excited about the decision to use her.

Oh I do that too! I think- I lost some weight. I'm going to have a fat cheeseburger to reward myself.

Oh my goodness Carly- I looked at your ticker. ONE MONTH!! ahhhhhhhhh. A month goes by quickly. I don't know why I'm so shocked since I knew you had a May wedding. I can't believe May is in a month though. Did I sleep through Feb or somethingt?

oh my goodness how scary. The neck always scares me. LIke when you accidentally pop it and you have that severe pain that just shoots down your neck and burns. I always get scared that it's going to paralyze me.
