For the first two weeks I noticed 3 cups of salad greens, but no dressing. Did you really eat it plain?

Hannah- personally I'd book ASAP. If you know your date, get it- no harm done. We booked a year in advance and the original date we wanted was not available so we compromised and got married on a Thurs.. wasn't a huge deal, but I had originally told people a date without having it confirmed. I just had to send out an update email. No biggie. Also, Nate Cordova second shot my wedding. He's really good and a few of my fav pics were done by him.

Great job Jill. What's great about using exercise to lose the weight and not just WW, your scale isn't the only thing improving. You are overall in better shape- heart, lungs, muscles, everything. Way to go... you sound so motivated to kick ass. Keep it up!

I LOVE this thread. It's really inspiring and I want to be Ana when I'm done... which would probably take 5 years or so. I used to like running back when I was in really good shape because it was easy, but I've let myself go so far that I'm afraid I'll kill myself. However, I love the idea of this program (thanks for posting about it on FB awhile ago Abbie. It made me totally intrigued!) I love having goals so I'm ready... Now I need to go find some better running shoes, buy some better quality sports bras, throw in a few capris and I will have spent enough $ to make myself feel guilty if I don't follow through. Now I just need to get out of this semester of school to start it! I'm excited... Oh and I downloaded these podcasts: Couch to 5K - Tracking Progress | A Question of Perspective I sat and listened to week one just to see how it goes and wow, 60 secs seems a lot longer than you think. However, I have no fear... the longer running sessions are what scare me!

Gone with the Wind was one of my fav books. It was hard to get into I thought, but once you got the ball rolling it was such a great story. Def check out Scarlett. I LOVED it. She goes to Ireland I believe and the story gets interesting. hmmm.... I should reread these. I haven't read them for 15 years! Scarlett was such a great character. Sci-Fi lovers: I took a sci-fi class as an English elective in college and we read a ton of sci-fi...ummm duh? Anyways, I'm not a big fan, but I ended up loving The Sparrow. The Sparrow (novel) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's a really good book that made me cry- several times.

You should just Netflix True Blood. It's a great show. However, the books are very different so just to give a warning. Sometimes it throws people off... Thank you all for the new book recommendations. I just picked up a new book this last week in Target but I didn't have my book list and couldn't remember anything. DH was pressuring me to hurry but I ended up with one of the Blue Bloods series. I liked the cover art and I had no time to read the back. So far so good! I'm intrigued on where the story will go. I can't believe I'm reading another vampire book though. I used to be such a book snob, but I've really come to love them. However, Memoirs of a Geisha has been on my list for way too long so I REALLLLY need to read it. I haven't even watched the movie because I wanted to read the book first. This is getting ridiculous!

I read the The Other Boleyn Girl on my honeymoon and loved it! It's a good read for sure. But then again, I'm really intrigued by the Tudors as well.

You girls watch tonight? Nigel reallly pissed me off. What an ass. He totally attacked that poor young one (I dont know anyone's names yet) and then told the audience to "shut up" several times. I know he always does that, but he was much more dickish tonight doing it. Anyways, I thought he pretty much ripped on the fan base of the show- and it being teeny boppers and not knowing good dance, etc. Umm- you are the one that decided to let America vote. Your problem. Then he attacks the poor young kid. I don't think he was disrespectful last night saying "I was hot!" I thought he got his ass reamed by the judges so he was just trying to joke and make light of the situation. It's gotta be hard to take that criticism in front of millions. Anyone else upset by Nigel? Even DH was shocked by how he acted.

Happpy Wedding Day Erika! I know you'll rock it. I hope everything goes PERFECT! After all you have been through, you definitely deserve it. Congrats MRS! Welcome to the club.

She's really full of herself in the books. She is continually looking at herself in the mirror and thinking she is so beautiful. She's also the "queen" of the high school- the most beautiful, desirable girl and apparently she knows it. She's a maneater and wants Stefan so she can "conquer" him because he keeps turning her down. Granted I'm at pg 50, but so far she seems like a huge bitch. The TV version of her is MUCH more likeable. However, I'm digging the style of writing. It's a little more of a mature read- for teen lit that is. I don't feel as dorky liking it like Twilight or House of Night.

haha Juliette is like WTF is on your head dude? Apparently she didn't see her buns. Too fun!

I was sad it wasn't on. I kinda had a mini freak out cause our guide is always F'ed up showing shows at the wrong times, etc. I had to google to ensure it wasn't really on. However, I went out and bought 4 of the books with a gift card. I started it last night. I'm liking it but the character of Elena is so different!

Just don't know what to do anymore....
jajajaja replied to eec129's topic in Just venting or funnies
I think it's always a good idea to not bitch to heavily about your significant other to anyone- friends, family, what not. Obviously people that love you will have your back and then when you kiss and make up with your honey, they are left feeling like he's a dirt bag. Not saying that's what happened here- just a general comment. -

Love it! I'm going to be checking this out all the time. I need to break out and try some new dishes. Can you believe I've never had Indian food? Sooo first on my list to try, your chicken tikka masala. -

I guess I'm confused on the severity of the argument. So everytime you and your FI get in a large fight (cause hello- they do happen and I doubt this will be your last!) they will feel that your relationship is unstable and they can't support that? Sorry but young couples sometimes struggle in the beginning to understand one another's viewpoints and to learn the art of compromising. I think your parents need to be reminded of that. It's not like they are the same couple they were 30 years ago. Realtionships grow and evolve and part of that is learning how to communicate and compromise with your partner. Throw some different religious beliefs in (I think that's what you were fighting about right?) and the whole subject becomes even more touchy. If you two are ok with the differences, then your family should be supportive. Period. However, do keep in mind that once children come into play this whole fight can rear it's ugly head again. -
Ok so I tried googling this the other night (and I know they already accidentally showed one vagina this year), but the Austrian chick (sorry- that's probably not the right nationality) with the tiny blond bob and sequined green dress- I swear she wasn't wearing any undies!! We rewound it several times and I'm pretty sure vag was all over the place in that routine. I think they have a lot more b-boys this year- they realized that this the golden ticket for the popularity of this show. Most got cut the last few shows, but holy crap were they amazing. I like the black dude with dreads. He rocked Vegas. ETA: Ok apparently the first "vagina showing" wasn't correct. Bad Perez Hilton! But I swear this other chick wasn't wearing undies.

Vanessa Vargas Double-Booked Me

I agree that maybe you will end up with an even better deal now so while it sucks, don't let it disappoint you. As others have pointed out there are a lot of FABULOUS photogs. But I get it- losing 3 works worth of correspondance is not cool! And holy crap MarieSam- your photos were just travel costs!? SWEET deal because they were gorgeous! -
With every situation like this that comes up, I always let my DH deal with his family and I take care of mine. It's hard sometimes talking to your MIL about a touchy situation (especially if you aren't close) and it involves "the couple" then I'd let DH go to bat. He knows his mom best and no matter what is said will love him unconditionally. Can't say the same for a DIL. But for your scenario specifically, I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. If your MIL does that again when you are 1-on-1, I would just say "This is what we have planned and we are really excited about it. I'm sorry that it's not up to your standards, but I know ____ (FI's name) is always willing to chat with you about it." I think that should make it pretty clear that you don't really want to go there and if she has issues, take them up with her son. Just don't take it personally. Sometimes parents have a hard time shutting off the "control" so it sounds like she is just trying to passive-agressively bully you. Once she sees that you guys aren't willing to budge, hopefully she will be respectful and keep it to herself.

MOH preggers?
jajajaja replied to jerzygirl85's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think the size of the pregnancy varies between individuals but you can always google pics of women 6 months preggo to get an idea. I bet you will be able to find a dress pretty easily. I like the ideas that Morgan suggested. Letting BMs choose complimenting dresses seems to be the easiest way to go. Sometimes it can be high drama and that's def the last thing you need! Plus I think preggo chicks are beautiful as BMs. Maybe Alyssa will weigh in since she was just in a wedding and she's preggers! -

I saw all the costume siggys and changed mine without finding the official thread. Looks like I did what I was suppose to!

On another note I remember a recent thread where the FMIL bought a dress the same color as the brides mother, and oh there was quite an uproar about that. Personally I think this is more about the dress, I think she's trying to give me hints that she is /will always be the center of attention in her son's life and there is nothing I can do about it. So why are you shocked that some people don't think it's that big of a deal? Did you post this thread with the intention to bash your MIL so you wanted everyone to agree it's rude, tacky and unheard of? Personally, I don't think it's that odd at all. Most people have their families in colors that coordinate with the weddings colors so family photos look more cohesive. She didn't buy the same dress, just the same color. I don't think it's that big of a deal at all. However, it seems like you have personal issues with your MIL outside of this issue. So maybe it's not really a dress issue at all.....

My Father may not make it to the wedding!!
jajajaja replied to jennierin's topic in Just venting or funnies
Oh wow! Sounds like a massive headache. I hope things work out and your dad will be there for your wedding. Hopefully all this stress will be for nothing! -
haha you won't be sad cause Eric is better. It's like having a loser bf dump you only to find a prince charming. It all works out in the end and everyone feels happy. At least I did!
