  1. Well crap- teenagers are teenagers. I certainly know I wasn't a responsible one. And as for prom, I remember not knowing months in advance when it was. I remember finding out like 6 weeks or so- still they should have let you know once he figured it out. I'm glad you are making the steps to make it work. I'm super glad you aren't stressed over it either. Uneven bridal parties aren't that big of a deal. Def worst things that could happen.
  2. Aww Jen. Those are great. I loved everything- your ceremony site is GORGEOUS, I loved! the lime centerpeices and of course, you looked gorgeous. Your mom's dress is also fab! You must have gotten her taste!
  3. Welcome back! I'm so glad your guests were blown away. Can't wait to see those pics!

  5. In the ONLY bridal magazine I bought, it had the cutest votives. I will have to look and see if they have purple. I remember the pink because I thought about buying them. However, they weren't just plain glass- they had some design on them.
  6. Awesome. I'll look into that. We have p90x- I'm kinda tired of doing it. It's kinda too "manly" if that makes sense. I would prefer something that's a little more fun- just not push ups and curls constantly, you know? I could def switch it up.
  7. It certainly gives you more freedom because you don't have to think about anyone else but what makes you two happy. How nice is that! I think it would be easy to find a resort to accomdate you. I'd first pick where you two would like this take place. How fun!
  8. I love the tacori ring- the detailing is beautiful. I guess I'm kinda partial because my e-ring (and WB- it's both since I didn't want a wb) has a ton of detailing and a hidden diamond too. As for custom ordering, does RB not have a jeweler that can do that? When we were looking for WBs, our jeweler said we could always custom order through them. I decided not to get a WB because i felt it took away from my ring, instead of complimenting it. However, either way, I love both rings. And I agree, a better quality, smaller stone is a good idea. It will sparkle much more!
  9. I wish you luck Glenda. I have CC debt too, but I just slowly chip away at it. Unfortunately, I got a CC when I went to college and I honestly had no financial responsibility at that time. I just was like "woo hoo" freedom and when I woke up from that bubble at the tender age of about 24 (haha- I'm an idiot) I tried to start getting it together. Slowly and surely you can pay this off. However, at some point your FI does need to wake up and realize the hole he is in to try to find a way to get out. Money is such a stressful thing- especially when you and your FI don't mesh in the thought process of how to be financially responsible. Pay the CCs on time and then continue to hassle for lower rates. They DO work with you if you show that you are paying them back in a timely manner. To keep you sane, I'd find a small goal (ie-pay all the cards on time) and try to get a lower interest rate. If you focus on the huge hole you are in, it can become overwhelming and make you feel like there is no way out. And of course, when I say "you" I really mean your FI. I agree- it's his responsibility and I'd hate to see you continually suffer because he hasn't focused on getting it together. You shouldn't have to live to the bare minimum for this problem- he should make the sacrifices and you be the support system.

  12. Never have I ever been arrested.
  13. Mine was an alligator clip. It didn't budge. A comb I would think would be more difficult. Especially if you can't decide on a location and switch it a few times. I would think it could possibly mess up your hair. I had to be really carefully when removing the veil comb. Oh just FYI- I stole my BMs hairclip and wore it a ton of times while in PV. It was so easy just to clip in with different hairstyles. I wonder if a comb would be that versatile.
  14. Wow Glenda. That one is seriously sick. I swear I wouldn't be surprised if those type of people turn out to be serial killers in the name of "art."
  15. Awesome. I think the E will look great with some bling.
  16. banana hammocks! I'm shocked! hehe- have a wonderful time! I really do want pics and if we don't get them I will post a pic I have of a really nasty "stripper." Trust me- it's a gross one!
  17. $10 per person should already be included in your contract. That goes to the waitstaff and staff that sets up the wedding. This is a minimum of $300 though- so if you don't have 30 guests, you will pay $300. I tipped Nicole $100. Not sure if that was enough, but that's what we did. We tipped Brad the minister $50.
  18. Oh this is horrific. I signed it. I can't look at the blog though. It about broke my heart to see some of the dogs in MX. I can't imagine looking at a blog where someone starves them on purpose. So disgusting.
  19. Where's a pic? Congrats on finding his ring. That was one of the longest processes for us. Steve was so freaking picky- I don't think he spent that much time searching for my e-ring!
  20. Our kitchens look similar. They put the backsplash in while were gone. It's very neutral like yours- except I like the pop of color you got in it.
  21. Oh how nice. We didn't want to put anything on CC either. It was so stressful saving for the year, but once we got to about 5 months out, we realized we already had the money we needed saved. It was truly the best feeling. Congrats girl! One less thing to worry about!
  22. My pro wedding photos were suppose to be done in 3 weeks. I have now waited the full 3 weeks, checking my email 50 times per day. I can't handle this wait any longer!! I'm going crazy. Every day someone asks me to see wedding pictures. I send them the FEW pics I do have and they are like "Is that it? Not even one of you and Steve together?" Ugh- don't remind me! I have NEVER been a patient person but this is excruciating. I emailed my photog asking if she at least had a date in mind, but I haven't heard back from her. That was nearly 2 weeks ago. I PRAY I don't have to wait like all the brides did for Juan Carlos. I don't think I could make it! This is BY FAR the most painful part of the wedding.
  23. Oh I like! Great choice Leia. I really liked the first cuff you posted- it's too bad it wasn't as good in person. I do really like the etsy bracelet too!
  24. Oh yikes- that sucks. I agree it's a good to post your vents. Honestly, I hate shady business and the only way to sometimes battle back is to inform EVERYONE you know about the bad experience you had. With this information age, businesses can't afford to let guests go unhappy. I really hope their policies change.
