Are you and your fiance waiting to consumate...

It was never a big deal to wait until marriage for me, but I def wanted to wait until I knew he was the one for me. We ended up doing it the night we got engaged. It was a very special moment and I was really glad I waited. I know what you mean though about the negative connotation the word "virgin" now holds. I used to have a friend that would point out to every guy that I was a virgin. I think she did it because she felt that made me less attractive and they would like her better. I would get so pissed because it made me feel like I was a freak or something. Anyways, I know what you girls are going through and I commend you for it. -
Oh that is so sad. I hate to hear of stories like that. I did just skim through her journal and I was shocked to read todays entry. I'm so sad for her family and friends. Oh it's just terrible. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

I like the idea of posting ideas in the blog. It helps see what you got planning better. It's all in one spot and the blog doesn't get buried as easliy as posts.

You are wearing a veil to your civil ceremony? It must be a lot more planned out than my "drive thru chapel" ceremony. I was drunk (can't believe they marry you when your drunk) and in jeans and a cute top. haha classy. I like both veils! Isn't ocnassey great? Their veils are so cheap you can buy two!

haha Kat- that was only a dream. No pics yet. Thanks for the dreaming thoughts though.

Yesteday, I took the day off work to go to SS office, DMV and the bank. Holy crap- it took FOREVER. I made hubby go as well because I didn't really want to change my name and he was very insistent that I did. After about an hour of listening to screaming kids in the SS office, he started to complain about waiting. I was very quick to remind him that it was his wonderful idea, so why should I wait alone. That shut him up really quick. I could have been smart and mailed the thing in, but I didn't want to mail my marriage license because I needed that for other things. I also didn't know how to go about getting a copy, so we just waited. And waited some more. The DMV was seamless. They must have found a way to button up their service, because I checked in with a chick and she sent me through the express line. No wait and boom! New license (not to mention a new picture. I didn't realize that was going to happen so I'm sure my camo hoodie will look awesome for the next 10 yrs.) So basically what I'm getting at here, I'm finally a Mrs. Yikes! Now I share the same name as his mom. Mrs. Manley

Wow. the detailing is GORGEOUS. Since your dress looks on the simplier side I think this veil does ehance the look. I wanted an ornate veil, but I ended up purchasing an ornate dress instead.

Help me pick earrings!
jajajaja replied to Maura's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Man, all the ones I LOVED are out of the running now. I guess I like big chandelier earrings if you didn't notice mine. haha Anyways, out of what's left, I like #1 the best. They are classic looking and very beautiful. -
Yay! Finally! *UPDATED*

Congrats Kate! I had a totally stupid moment during the engagement speel too. Not shocking. I'm so happy you can finally start getting the wedding details in order. -
Which dress do you like better?
jajajaja replied to APRILOO's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I like #2 on you best. I think it's very flattering on the waist, and your girls definitely look bigger (not sure if that's what you want though- I always do!) The back is lovely- I love the flowy look and I think it looks so beautiful in DW dresses. It's not as structured. However, I did see your "blue" dress. I like that better than the purple one. I would be hesitant about a dress with color though. I think it might be a trend that will look dated later. Just my opinion though. Either way, you look good in all the dresses. Go with the one you love the most. -
OMG those pics are total paparazo style. You can see the bushes. haha

I thought I would get sick too, but I have never taken dramamine before. The doctor said their was a possible chance I'm allergic to it, so I skipped it and crossed my fingers. I'd rather be seasick than blow up like a puffer fish. My mom took dramamine (she gets motion sickness easily) and she had no problems either. It's really smooth in the morning. You feel a little of the up and down motion when you leave the marina but after that, it's smooth sailing. My guests said it was rough coming out the day of the wedding. The wind must pick up and make it a bit rougher. Again, no one had any issues though. My grandma was on the boat and she was the one person that really worried about taking the boat. She had no problems. I'm not sure if she took dramamine though. The boat back from the wedding goes so fast I don't think it could have been a problem. They really haul ass. I'm not sure if they go slow on the way there to have a scenic route. Nonetheless, it was all good- no casualties.

I saw this. I just knew someone had to have posted it here. I think her dress is pretty. I bet she would have loved us BDW girls.

All of your expert advice

I agree with most of the ladies- same pants as groom and white linen shirts. The groom's jacket will set him off. -

The ones he bought turned on once dropped in the water. Half didn't work. Before buying some, I'd make sure they are the ones that have the turn off/turn on button. I have several I have brought back from clubs and use them at my own parties. They are really cute!

I can't say much about either resort because I don't know a thing about them. As for tripadvisor, I would completely ignore their reviews. My resort got bashed months before our wedding and I was so nervous about getting sick (TONS of complaints about this.) Everyone was already booked in- we just crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. Having stayed there 2 weeks, I didn't get sick and I thought their food was great. I'm a picky eater too so I have no idea what all the tripadvisor people complained about. You just have to take the reviews with a grain of salt. As for changing dates to save money- that's a SIGNIFICANT amount of money. If you want more people to go, I'd consider it. If you don't really care about having a lot of people there, keep the date.

Who's ready for...(drum roll).. THE HILLS!
jajajaja replied to Jacqueline's topic in Celebrity Gossip!
I just saw her line in Anchor Blue yesterday. The quality is seriosuly lacking- the material used looked cheap to me. And yes- she totally messed up her face. After watching all these celebrities get their lips done, I'm convinced it looks like crap on everyone! -

I have always thought Spencer is an ass but geez- this season seems like he is even worse. In the conversation he had with his sister about living at her house, he was such a douche. I wanted to slap him for her. And could Heidi been a little more melodramatic about "THE SHOT?" haha- seriously, he was doing a shot with a girl- not having sex with her. -

He had a britney spear's moment. He tried to shave himself bald but passed out during the infamous haircut. -

Through my research, I was able to find that Niblet's attended boot camp prior to the formation of his world renowned security company. -

He must have used his "royal" influence to start his own company: . This bold move acquired him some fame so he could pose in this month's ferret calendar:
