PV Restaurants
jajajaja replied to adeybaby's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
Celina- I'm jealous!!! I love Fajitia Republic. I tried to set up the WD there in PV, but no one returned my numerous emails! I wish I would have just had everyone go there and then paid for the bill afterwards. Would have been cheaper than our WD at our resort. Plus better food! we loved the steak, chicken, shrimp fajitas. We ate there 3 night in a row- haha sick, I know. We loved it that much! AND we stayed at an AI too. Anyways, the set up is gorgeous. I wish we would have had our guests go there! -

I'm giving it to Saraha. I hope it makes it to another bride. So is the geneology right on this: Sassygirl (Sarah), Tob1kanobe (Toby), Paula, me, then Sarah. I tried to do some research so I could start a little card to recognize all brides of this particular starfish. I think it's cute to know who it's been to!

haha sounds like my man too. I always tell him it sounds like he has an anal fixation. LOL -
Is that Celtic signs on each side? It's very pretty!

I distributed some of my stuff but let me tell you- this was my least favorite part of travelling. I hated carrying the wedding dress- my hubby carried it most of the time for me. We only had one bag each plus the dress. I would NOT do any more than that. It's a pain and why pay for more? I gave my mom all the wedding parties clothes to take in a carry on. She also took some tealight holders and my pashminas. It helped a bunch for her to have some empty suitcase space. I would just communicate with people about that.

8 weeks to go and I am freaking out!!!
jajajaja replied to LindsayG's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Don't freak too much. I did everything last minute too! Like downloaded music for our ceremony/reception hours before I was suppose to leave to the airport. Everything will get done and to the things that don't, who cares?! It will all still be great. The day of the wedding I forgot SO many things that I had either bought or made for the ceremony. Still turned out perfect. Even forgot my centerpieces! LOL See- no worries, you can't mess up as bad as I did and I still think it turned out gorgeous. -

HELP!!! I want to elope!
jajajaja replied to kellywinter1's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I felt like that at first when we began planning. It was with Dreams PV instead. The WC was horrible. I would wait weeks for a response and then I would get one and she didn't even answer my stinking questions. It was so stressful because I was trying to decide if this was the place for us- not trying to plan small details like flowers and the cake. I finally ditched them and went to Las Caletas PV. Best decision we made! It was a total 180 from all the stress I put up with before. I really can't recommend many resorts- I don't know a thing about them, so I hope some one can help you. As for flack from the guests, is it all guests? Or is it a few that's making you feel bad? We had a few that complained, but at some point we just decided to ignore all negative comments and do what we wanted to do. We ended up having 20 guests that really wanted to be there and it was perfect! They were all so supportive and excited. -
I watched the travel channel over the weekend. Kaui is the garden isle and it looked so beautiful! I can't remember the best time of year though. Darn it- no memory retention.

Sounds like some busy times prior to the wedding. That's probably best because it feels like it takes forever to get there and just get married already! Have a great time!
-
Congrats! I was just married in LC in March and it was fantastic! You will have such a great site visit! I guess I don't really have much restaurant recommendations besides Fajita Republic. We LOVED it and ate there 3 times- LOL. Not sure if it's "authentic" though because I'm from Oregon. Im sure we are missing out on authentic food.
-
Already? Wow that seemed fast- although I'm sure you feel the opposite! I hope your day is everything you dreamed of! Congrats!
-
Lucky, lucky, lucky. I've never won anything- i'm so not lucky. I hope you have a great time! That's just so awesome.
-
Oh man, I'm disappointed! The hubby told me GH's was a rerun so I just continued messing with my pictures. That's all I did last night- LOL. I'm so sad I missed a new show! I hope we get a rerun.
-
Oh and I should mention- I stayed up to 12:30 looking at disc 2. I'm a tired girl today, but they are GORGEOUS pics. Beth took some incredible night time shots of LC. I can't wait to share. She did such an awesome job. I think I might like the pics on disc 2 best. She has all kinds of more "artistic" shots and lots of detail pics!

Seven teaser pics from Juan Carlos
jajajaja replied to NYJen's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
I love #1- it looks like we are voyeurs and peeking in on the action. #2 looks so peaceful! That was wedding day? You don't look nervous at all- I know I was! We both got our pictures on the same day- how funny! I'm so happy you got some teasers to tide you over. You look gorgeous and I'm sure it's going to be just as hard to continue waiting! -
My TTD Dress from Ann *pics*
jajajaja replied to Kat81's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My hubby didn't try to see one dress once either. It hung in our walk in the whole time. The dress looks great on you! I don't think it looks to big- it looks sexy the way it hangs. I forsee some steamy pics in your near future! -

He looks so proud of himself. Quote: Originally Posted by msam007562 And was that your mom with the strapless dress with the pink sash? She immediately called me last night asking if she looked stupid in all her pics. She's so uncomfortable in front of the camera and I was so happy to tell her that are a lot of good ones. The dress she is wearing was our first BM dress. LOL I HATED it on the girls and was totally not the look I had envisioned. They tried on the dress but we ordered it in a color we only saw a TINY swatch of. When it came in, I was disappointed. My mom rocked the dress though. It looked good on her. It was terri cloth (sp?) and so comfy. I would loan it but I wore it like everyday around the pool too. It's probably really gross. I bet Target still has them and it was like only $20 or less. I can't remember- but super cheap! I had a pink one too! I put a few of the silly ones in there- like them in the hammock together, but there are too many with them acting stupid. One of them Steve is in a wheelchair and the best man is pushing him! Come on now...that's not cute. I shouldn't complain too much! I think they had a lot of great pics of the guys though. They are awesome! I loved them so much.
