  1. Wow! I can't believe all the girls we have leaving for their weddings! Crazy how time flies. I wish you the very best time. I can't wait to hear all about it and look through all you pics!
  2. Personally, I didn't LOVE what they did. I told the chick I wanted a natural look but more dramatic in the eyes. Well I looked like a freak- Steve picked me up from the appointment and laughed. That's not a good thing. Plus we ran errands that day and I felt so uncomfortable- I couldn't wipe the eye make up off! I did buy all the colors she used because I could tell it was a pretty combo- just not applied to my liking. Are you comfortable with make up? I like to dress up and I love to do my make up all cute. So this wasn't an area I stressed to much. I just tried to look like me. I didn't want to get too made up and not recognize myself.
  3. My skin goes in spurts. Sometimes its good then sometimes it's like it just freaks out and goes AWOL. I haven't figured out what contributes to the serene skin moments and how to keep it happening.
  4. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t19380 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8774 I found a couple threads that may have some ideas too! I hope that helps. Also, when my parents were married (WAY back in the day- I was only 8 ) we did some vows. We promised to be loving, supportive children for the sake of our new family. I was a turd, so I'm not sure how true I stayed to my vows.
  5. Aww thanks! I do not have good skin. Thankfully it didn't act up before the wedding so the Skin Gods loved me. I just used Mac Studio Fix foundation and used primer as a base. I dusted it with studio fix powder. I basically used everything MAC cause I went to one of their "pro make up artist" shows- which basically the girls that work behind the counter. I also bought their bronzer, blush and eyeshadows. I bought blotting paper but forgot to use it. I also forgot to touch up anything! I was kinda disappointed I didn't remember because my face looks too shiney for my liking towards the end of the pics. OH well!

Anyways, I'm on the back fat boat- and everywhere else fat grows boat.
  7. Very cute! I think they are simple chic! I love the tear off calendar- it's ingenious! I don't think you need to feel bad about not DIYing. I only did a few of my own projects because I couldn't afford a professional. I would rather have someone else do it than me.
  8. Well they got all the kids doing the work. That's probably how it works out.
  9. We were engaged exactly a year. It goes so fast. Next thing you know we will be posting a congrats thread!
  10. Opened up immediately for me all 3 times. I love the leopard too. Sassy!
  11. or maybe something with chemistry? Sorry my mind is fried. I'm thinking of the sunny weather outside and beer. LOL
  12. Not to mention how the kids may feel. I think I caught this show once- the children don't really get to be children. They have an assigned buddy system. It's ridiculous- if the parents can afford all the kids, great. Obviously they can't afford the time to care for them without the help of the older siblings. Just stop already!
  13. Celina- From what I've read on here, starfish are so fragile. While I agree that they look great on the blumebox, do you really want to waste time in paradise by glueing things? You could always take them and if it doesn't work out, then no worries! I think it would look pretty still without them. Or maybe there's something else we could think of that would add a bit more to the design instead of unpredictable starfish.
  14. The water was so pretty! You looked great in that redish dress! So glad you had fun!
  15. I HATE your neighbor already. Maybe bake her some cupcakes with exlax? Will that work? LOL
  16. Ok really bad story- Our friend parked at another friends apt complex. The spot he parked in was not marked as a "residential" only spot. He was there for less than an hour. He came out of the house to find his car gone. The asshole who parks there every day view it's "his" spot and had his car towed. So at 11pm at night, my friend had to go to the impound lot and pay $400 to get his car out. He got drunk the next day and let's say- accidentally damaged the neighbor's car. While for some this isn't morally ethical, but I think his revenge felt sweet.
  17. Ok totally random question- do you have a large party going or is it small intimate? Only reason I ask is that we had a super small party (20) and most of them were family. They had to be on hand for pics. We had passed apps too (it's part of the package) but most people didn't even get the change to enjoy it. They were too busy talking and waiting to be called up for a pic. Then we had to wait for my grandpa to finish chomping on one to take a pic. LOL
  18. Do you got this all figured out Sarah? In all honesty, I was SUPER cheap with the ceremony decor. I let the setting be the focus and I think it still turned out beatifully. The only thing I added (that's not already on your list) was the shells hanging from the chuppa. I think it made for some pretty pictures. I wouldn't get too elaborate! I DO wish I had done some petals down the aisle. That's the only thing I would change now that I have seen the pics.
  19. I don't think it's really surprising that the costs will continue to go up. It seems that has been the trend for the last few years. Totally sucks though! People will still vacation though- just like they will still drive even with gas at nearly $4 a gallon in most places.
  20. If you have no one that you think of as a MOH or BM, I personally would skip it- just my opinion though. Only you can decide this. We have all learned the hard way that sometimes having a bridal party is like babysitting unruly toddlers. They complain about their attire, won't go get measured for it, or help choose something. Or they don't book in a timely fashion and you have to stress over that. Personally, I didn't have much issues with my bridal party- besides a bit of complaining about attire but that was it. It was worth it in the end for me to have my best friends stand next to me. But if you don't have anyone that you can truly see as being part of your bridal party, I would skip it. It's not worth all the stress just to have some people stand next to you just to follow tradition. Many DW have no bridal parties.

I'm sure dr. are use to 1st time moms being a little more concerned about things that a 2nd and 3rd time mom would not even think twice about. I say if something hurts or doesn't feel right - - call the dr.! I think it's always important to check in. I know I learned my lesson the hard way- I suffered for 2 days with "gas" pains. It hurt so bad but one time I went to the ER with real gas pains and I was mortified. I didn't want to do it again. I ended up having appendicitis. Instead of having it removed laparoscopic, I had to have it the old fashioned way because it was large and leaking. I now have a 4 inch nasty scar on my abodomen instead of 2 really small cute holes. I was also in the hospital for 5 days. When in doubt, get it checked out.
  22. Snapfish: Share:Registration_Opt2 Here's the second installment of my pics. I think the LC ladies will really like these because there are a TON of detail shots. Plus you can see what the sun looks like after the ceremony. Let me know if you have any questions!!
  23. Man, I can't believe it's here! I know you are going to be such a beautiful bride Courtney! Your dress is amazing and we already know how gorgeous you are! I wish you and Aaron the happiest day! Have a fantastic time. I'm crossing my fingers Leigh gives a few teasers!
  24. hmm...is there a place you can look up all county rules and regulations? There has to be some obscure law that no one really follows. You know, like how they have all those stupid state laws websites. The counties have to have some too!
