  1. Thanks... I am new to this posting/forum thing. This is my first forum.. ever!! It's great.. I may be addicted
  2. I think you should go for the veil.. it's your wedding and you want something that says.. 'hey I'm the bride". I like the one you are showing on your post. It will be behind you, and out of your face, it's suttle, but impressionable. I was thinking of not going for the veil, but I think it will ultimately help me feel more like a bride..considering I'm getting married on a beach.
  3. I think I successfully uploaded my profile picture, but it doesn't show up on my postings. So I have to get out of noob for it to show?? I want a fancy profile... let me know how I can get there?! Thanks.
  4. So, a patron at the restuarant I bartend at shocked my boyfriend (now fiance) with 2 floor tickets to see my favorite band (Dave Matthews Band) in Vegas. My boyfriend decided we should go all out. We flew to Vegas, stayed at The Signature hotel (a suite hotel, sister company with MGM Grand) and what a blast!!!!!!!!! I was so overwhelmed by the whole thing.. a proposal was not even in my head. So, my boyfriend set out on Saturday morning to play in a poker tournament, while I went to the Forum shops to.. shop! After a few hours and $400 later I decided to return to the hotel and lay by the pool. My man calls me and lets me know he is done with his tournament and is on his way back to the hotel. We met at our room, where he shared the news that not only did he do well in the tournament.. he WON!!! He broke out a bottle of champagne and I went to the bathroom to freshen up. As I return to the room, "In your eyes" by Peter Gabriel is playing as my man begins to profess his love. He gets down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. Of coarse I said "YES"!!!!!!!!! We then got ready, went to a swanky sushi dinner, and set our for the concert.. It was magical.. What a day.. I could live it over.. again... and again.
  5. I thought of doing a daily excursion with all the guest (pre-wedding), I was hoping somewhere close to the resort, but it all depends. My travel agent is blocking rooms for us, and I have reserved the date for the wedding through the hotel. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
  6. Hi newbie.. I'm a newbie too. My fiance and I are heading to the Dreams for our wedding. We are still looking into WC, but found that the the WC at Dreams has been fine as far as communication goes. I am also looking into Dazzline Details WC, but have heard they are expensive. My godmother is a travel agent and said that they are always suggesting the Dreams Resorts for Destination wedding. I still have a yr before the big day so I suppose I have some room for brainstorming. Good luck!
  7. Hi Everyone. To begin, I would like to say how relieved I am that I found this website. I felt like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to find details for a destination wedding. Dan (my fiance) and I have chose to wed in Puerto Vallarta on 6-7-08. We are planning to stay at the Dreams resort. I am hoping to have the ceremony and reception at the same resort, and have already reserved the Day through the hotel. I am looking to possibly go through Dazzling details, if it fits into our budget. We are planning on only having 50 guests (including us) to attend. If anyone has any ideas on daily acitivities, ceremony ideas, reception ideas, whatever.. I am open for any advice. I am planning this on my own as my mother and sisters live a thousand plus miles away from me. I am a 28 year old getting married for the first time, so it is hard to find peers who are going through the same situation. Hopefully, I can find some relief through this website. Thanks in advance for all your help. -- Hi/d
