  1. I have a trainer, and he said 80% of weightloss is dependent on what you eat. If you keep your calories low you should be fine. However, you may not be toned. You don't want to be skinny and jiggly. If you stick with an eating plan, than missing the gym won't hurt too bad!
  2. LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS;LUNGES AND SQUATS; I played soccer in college.. those two exercises kicked my butt into shape!!! You'll feel it in the morning.
  3. No, I was supposed to go this morning, but was hungover. Darn FI, he's a teacher so he is off for the summer.. he always takes me out for dinner and drinks in the middle of the week. Shame on him I go see my trainer tomorrow.. he's gonna kill me!!!
  4. Love the bling.. Too bad we already bought our cake topper, if I would've known I would've gone with one of those!!!
  5. I love those ideas. I am torn between sand dollars and starfish.
  6. Where can I find custom printed tees for cheap? I looked at CustomizedGirl - Custom T-Shirt Design, but they seemed pretty pricey.. $20+ per tee I really want printed tees, but that's a bit extreme.
  7. Thanks for all your responses. I showed my mom pictures, but she still doesn't care for it.. whatever. I'm sticking with it!
  8. Hi Fellow PV Brides! I am trying to brainstorm for my welcome bags. I have a general idea of what I am going to put in them, but I am stuck on "cultural stuff". I know it's "Mexico", but does anyone know if there's something particular that sets PV apart from the other places? In addition, what did you all do about traveling with the bags? Did you do welcome bags? what are somethings you added?
  9. I decided to ditch the DJ and do the music myself. I figure why gamble with a DJ when I have the option to set it up myself. I suppose the transitions won't be as nice, but whatever. I have working on compiling lists of music today. I think I am going to have my ipod along with burned CD's for back up. I really don't think your guests will care if there is a DJ. I never remember the DJ, but I do remember the songs and dancing. I think we're all capable of putting the music together now that we have technology on out side. Cheers!
  10. Jimmy Buffet Is always great...However, since you are going with the "50 first dates" opener.. how about "Wouldn't it be nice" by the Beach Boys. That's the song Drew sings about Adam when she is painting.
  11. I have been working on playlists today.. You're in luck. Here's some I think would be a great kickstart: Get this party started- Pink Old time Rock in Roll- Bob Segar Love Shack- B52's Pour some sugar on me- Def Leppard Cotton Eyed Joe- (Having a little line dance.. would get people interested and out on the floor)
  12. Thanks for the link.. that helps. Great music choices.. I need to find a music to define Dan.. maybe "The Gambler".
  13. My colors are aqua and red.. My mom hates it, and my mother in law didn't comment (she probably doesn't like it). What do ya'll think? I saw the combination on Martha Stewart.. I think it's cool. It gives a little kick!
  14. Alright ladies I need some help.. I have decided to pass on the spanish-only speaking DJ, and am taking control of the music portion of our wedding celebration. We are having a ceremony on the beach, then a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, and then the reception/dancing. 1) Does anyone have any ideas on ceremony ideas?? I think we are using that hawaiian song with the guitar and the guy sings somewhere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world this would be, but after that I am stuck. What songs have you heard for the bride and groom for the post ceremony. My friend had "Son of a preacher man", which was fun, but he was a son of a preacher man.. so it worked. 2) Cocktail hour-- I was thinking jimmy buffet, beach boys, "beachy stuff". Or do you think Jazz? 3) Dinner?? I have no clue on this one. 4) Reception-- I think I have this covered, but suggestions are always welcome.
  15. Since we're having the ceremony on the beach I am goin' without shoes for that portion of our wedding. My Inlaws wanted to go barefoot too... So I guess the bridal party, groomsmen, parents, groom, and myself are not wearing any shoes on the beach. As for the reception, I am trying to find some cute shoes with rhinestone on them. My dress has a rhinestone broche (sp?) on the side were the slit is so I am trying to blend eveything together. I will research and let you know what I find.
  16. If you had my mother.. you wouldn't have to worry about picking out the color.. she would do it on her own. I think it would be nice to have your mother wear something in your wedding colors. She doesn't have to be filled from head to toe, but it might help distinguish her from the other guests. My mother in law is waiting to see what my mom wears so they can kind of look the same (how cute). I haven't addressed the "mom wear" yet, but I think I the dads are going to have the same linen pants, and similar shirts. I would like them to stand out a bit from the rest of the crowd.
  17. Dan and I are getting married in the states, and having Dan's brother do the ceremony in Mexico. If you have someone who would do this, I would recommend asking a close friend or relative. We didn't want to pay some stranger to lead our ceremony..and considering it's not legal we thought we would have a little fun with it. Dan's brother is so excited, and we are excited that he will be the best man/ master of ceremony!!!
  18. I say go for it!!!!!!! Dan and I are getting married pre-Mexico for the same reasons. Blood tests and Translators?? I don't have time for that. Get married whenever you want. We are having our ceremony in PV next June, but are talking about doing the legal stuff during Spring Break at the local courthouse. If I had the option.. I would drive to Vegas like you are talking about. That's were I got engaged!!! Good Luck on the decision making.. whatever you choose will be great!
  19. I am going with The Dazzling Details. I wanted a rockstar wedding, and I hope that that is what I'll get. We stayed within our budget, but we are also only having around 50 people. I love working with Kristin and her team. They are very creative, and great on with communication.

If you are having a legal ceremony you have to get there early to get blood tests and chest xrays.. and do all that legal stuff. We are getting married at the courthouse in our hometown before wisking away to PV.. that way we don't have to fumble over legalities.
  21. So, I am searching for a WC. I found out about Dazzling Details through this forum, but I keep hearing of how expensive they are! I am planning on only having around 50 people. What do the costs look like? We didn't want to spend too much on this wedding because we are planning to get pregnant soon after so we can start a family (we don't want to start in the hole). I just love the pictures I have seen of the weddings coordinated by DD. Can anyone enlighten me on some numbers
  22. My Fiance and I are staying at, and getting married at the Dreams resort in PV next June. I am super exicted about it. My god mother is a travel agent, and can't say enough about the Dreams Resorts. It is secluded with it's own beach which gives it a nice exclusive appeal.
