Sometimes its easier for me to work with fonts instead of clip art. Let me know if you have any questions on installing fonts.
A duffel bag seems like a good idea. And if you are worried about them clanging around in the bag, you could always wrap some bubble wrap around them to secure them all together.
Thanks Lori! I'm not totally sold on the beer mug idea, just starting looking into it. I can't find a thread on here with favors people purchased. does a thread like that exist?
Just a thought...I would use a beach towel with pretty much anything written/embroidered on it. (As long as its appropriate!) I don't think a beach towel is something that your guests wouldn't use in the future...I think you should put whatever you want on it!! I probably wouldnt put a 3 ft monogram or anything, but something small and tasteful will be great, personalized or not. Hope that helps!

I think a really simple inexpensive invite would be better than an evite, but an evite wouldnt be too tacky if your AHR is very casual.
Hi. My FI is wearing a tan poplin suit from Jos A Bank. They have really good sales. My dress is also somewhat formal so I didn't want him to wear linen (and he doesnt realy like linen). I think that the best man is wearing nice tan pants and a linen shirt with no jacket.
I am having a hard time thinking of favors for my AHR. I wanted to get something different, not the usual coaster, wine stopper, bottle opener. We are having a BBQ in the backyard and having kegs... what do you all think of getting beer mugs or steins and putting candy (or something) in them? I was thinking of putting the candy in a bag or something that can be easily removed so the guests could use the mug at the AHR for the keg. Is that weird? I can't decide. Opinions wanted!!
We are leaving our doggies with the breeder that we purchased them from. She watches all of "her" dogs for $15/day per doggie. They stay with her any time that we go away and I really trust her. I've also met lots of people through the Do something, Learn something, Share something, Change something - Meetup.com website. We joined a small breed meet up group that meets in our area. I know it sounds sort of cheesy to have a meet-up for dogs but I wanted them to be socialized. Is there anything like that around you?
Good luck finding a place...I would be nervous about it too!
I guess I was assuming that she would just deduct the amount of the cocktail hour from the wedding contract...I guess I will have to find out what she will do. I'm sure it says in this thread what Claudia has done in the past, but I can't read through all 3000 posts again!
We are having a catered BBQ in my parents backyard. We are setting it up sort of like a wedding reception, DJ&dancing, tables with centerpieces, favors, seating arrangement, etc. but its a pretty casual affair. I wanted a little bit of both!
I made a boarding pass STD and one of the tickets was about the AHR. I think its important to announce it at the same time so people have all the necessary info when making their decision. Just my 2 cents
I'm having a really hard time choosing as well. I think that Halo and Whatever it is are too fast, but thats my opinion. My vote is the Brad Paisley song. I like the last one too...

The promotion was for booking in April. Didn't matter when you wedding was, just booking it during April. Hi Jacilyn~ did you confirm that with your WC at Dreams? I emailed Claudia and DJ Mannia in April to book but I'm not sure that I am getting the discount. Should I get something in writing?
I made the Boarding Passes myself too and it wasn't so bad once you get started...definitely get a paper cutter, corner punch, and bone folder! We did make a very expensive mistake...I put FI in charge of printing them at Staples and he didn't tell them that it was cardstock...so they quoted us around 50 dollars. When he picked them up it was 175 dollars!!!! There wasn't much we could do at that point bc they used up all of our paper...make sure you bring some paper when you ask how much it will be!!
Oh and I had him fold the ticket jacket...and threw out his first 10 folds...maybe I should have done this project all by myself!
I've been engaged forever...well about 2 1/2 years. I didn't plan ANYTHING except for the resort for the first year or so. You can really plan the whole thing within a few months. I would concentrate on a resort, the date, photog, and dress and the rest will be smooth sailing. A year is plenty of time. and I think that the last 2 months are crazy no matter how long you had before ...or maybe thats just me!
I think it would be really hard to look after them the whole time as well. Its probably best that you leave them at home...although I will miss my little ones so much while we are gone!!
