What I've done so far: - STDs sent awhile ago - dress - FI suit & shoes (pant hem) - my necklace and earrings - wedding bands - photographer for wedding and TTD - booked DJ - found pictures for hairstyle - purchased OOT items - music for ceremony - dress fitting - hair and make-up trial - shoes - attire for welcome "drinks" What I need to do: - ceremony wording - undergarments - centerpieces *I'm thinking of just ordering them at the resort - brochures - OOT tags *need to finish - place cards and table numbers *need to finish - email the DJ I better get going..less than a week until we leave!

Did you try wedding linens direct home page ? I purchased mine from there and they are great! I ended up buying Azaela instead of fushcia bc I liked the color better. Good luck!

I'm so sorry. My maid of honor backed out as well. Her issue was financial as well as medical. Even when we offered to pay for her, she still said that she couldnt go bc of her health. I know how you feel. My advice is talk to her and let her know how you feel. I honestly think that if it is truly bc of the travel time that she is definitely being selfish. I would travel for any length of time to go to my BF's wedding. Maybe she is embarrased about the money and doesn't want to tell you. I would definitely try to work something out with her though. I decided to re-read The Time Travelers Wife after reading this thread...still one of my favorite books! The movie is coming out on August 14th and I can't wait. I just ordered the 3 Emily Griffin books that everyone is mentioning while we are away at our DW...NEXT WEEK!!

Any particular reason why you don't want the casino? I stayed at Sunscape the Beach in Punta Cana, which is now Dreams, and the casino was a very small room that had a fun electronic roulette game and a couple of slots and tables. It was in the back corner of the lobby area and not a big deal at all. Not sure if that helps

I don't have any pictures at the moment. It fits me pretty snug and I usually wear a size 8 in pants, jeans, etc. My guess is that it would probably fit. It fills out my dress pretty nicely, but I have some layers to my dress too. So I'm not sure how much of the poof is my dress and how much is from the slip. Is there a Davids that you could go to and try it on with your dress? I will definitely sell it to you for WAY less than $50!!

Jac, What size do you need? I think I have what you are looking for...mine is a size 10. I'm wearing it in July at my wedding, but I could sell it to you when we come back. I will try to find out the details on it.

FI and I both direct deposit money into a savings account from each paycheck and don't touch the account unless its to buy wedding things. We have actually saved quite a bit of money this way...its the out of sight, out of mind theory. I highly recommend it!

I have only corresponded with Claudia through email. She often takes awhile to respond bc of the number of weddings they have there per week. How long has it been? Maybe you can try to re-send the email? When I was trying to book my date there, I had my travel agent email/call her and she got in touch with her quickly.

I agree. I think sending announcements after the wedding to let your friends and family know that you're married seems like a good option. As for sending the invites to the 4 couples, I think that is totally up to you. If they have all of the information that they need an invite seems like something that is completely optional.
