I picked other. It was mainly because we like to start our winter travels in November, also the resorts seem to be less crowded. The resort actually had quite a few days available to have the ceremony so the 15th just seemed the easiest to remember!

Maybe it's nothing. Maybe because you are hearing this through the grapevine that words got mixed along the way. I would like to think your Grandparents would only be considering the trip as a another vacation, not one to replace your wedding! My heart goes out to you, I am hoping that this is the case. Tracy

That is absolutely horrible, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I hope you don't let it affect what your thoughts are of your wedding day. I'm sure it is easier to say though. Maybe you could use it as an excuse to get another vacation out of it. Maybe if you suggested they compensate you by giving you a free stay.

I forgot to include my Grandma. She is paying $1000 towards the cost of the trip for each one of her 6 kids and 2 of my cousins. My Grandpa passed away last year and after he died my close tight loving family went to crap. They started arguing and just not getting along. I hear that sometimes happens and it did to us. Well this is her way of trying to make everyone be together and overcome the stupidity of their fighting. I only hope it works and my wedding isn't a nightmare of more family battles. But, I do appreciate her helping my Aunts & Uncles to come. (sarcasm starts)Even though they could afford it on their own(sarcasm ends)

My parents are giving us $6000 towards the wedding and paying for the photographer who is coming for the whole week. I am hoping to keep the cost in that area, but it does not look like will happen. We are having an AHR and his parents said they would pay for that, mainly because they really want us to have one.

I have been there a few times in November, it rained maybe twice. It was only for a very short time and the sun was right back out. I think it is the perfect time of year there. Hurricane season is over and not as many tourists. It is much nicer in a hotel that's at 40% occupancy verses 90%. It is also not that hot, I mean it's hot but not like it is in April through Sept. I say go for it and just have a plan B.

Can't help with that area but there seems to be a lot of Cabo San Lucas brides on this forum. They will be a great help, happy planning!!
