  1. Hello Ana & everyone in this thread, I am sorry you had a bad experience with Maye, I have taken the time to read the different opinions on this matter and I guess this comment will be very valuable coming from a vendor itself..... First of all, we as vendors try to give the best rates to all WC's, it is a simple business practice here in Cabo, in the US or anywhere in the world right? I always see this wedding community as a wedding circuit, everyone knows everyone and therefore it is very easy to know who is jacking-up prices. Speaking from a very personal situation, everytime any bride asks for my fees I always ask if the wedding is being coordinated by a WC, if that is the case then I always refer them back to the WC for pricing and all. If the bride is in fact with no WC, then we could negotiate rates. But please keep in mind that we vendors have pretty much a set rate. And this is only because we know that if we want to have a serious and honest income, then it becomes almost a normal practice. Don't get me wrong here, If it sounds too good to be true, then it won't be good. Maye has hired my services before and not once have I had a problem with her or any of her brides. In fact there are so many great reviews of her in this forum, that's why I am surprised. I also understand how hard planning a wedding from a distance can be, trusting your BIG DAY in the hands of one person... Boy that must be hard! But hiring a WC is just like hiring any service back home, you have to be very careful and do some homework before making a final call. Just as you stated, some make more money than others and some work more than others. My advice for this matter is that wherever you plan your destination wedding, you must get at least two or three different set of vendors so you can compare, check prices and then make your final call... I guess what I am trying to say is that you should always do some window shopping before. Have a lovely day everybody!

  3. Dear Kelly & Brett, Welcome to the forum and congratulations! I you were to choose the One&Only Palmilla, I wouldn't know where to start... The property is immaculate, the service is phenomenal and the weddings are: SPECTACULAR! Yes it could be pricey, but how many times do you get to a Destination Wedding? The reason I am telling you this is because I have done over 300 weddings there, so if you ever need further information on the hotel, wedding or service there, please feel free to ask. Which ever location you choose, you will find plenty of useful information here. Happy planning!!!!!

  10. Dear Brides and Grooms, From a vendor point of view, Juan Carlos is an asset for any wedding. I can honestly say that I have worked with "ALL" Cabo photographers and when I know is Juan Carlos Tapia the photographer, then I know it will be a flawless event. In my opinion, all photographers are great but down the road you can really tell who belongs in the Circle of Excellence. Juan Carlos does a great job and best of all... He is a people's person, very important to his line of business. I just officiated a wedding this past Saturday, June 7th, 2008 at the Hilton and Juan Carlos was there... All I can remember is seeing Juan Carlos running from place to place... I even asked him how many pounds does he loses per event Ladies and gentlemen, with Juan Carlos you get what you pay for and then some. Have a great day

Suggestions? Regarding the ceremony.... At what time is your wedding? Both the beach and the gazebo are great but it depends what time of the day... Perhaps I am your wedding minister as I have two weddings on Saturday May 24th at the RIU Palace.
  17. Hello Natasha! Welcome to the forum. You have chosen one of the most beautiful places on earth to be married. Have you decided the hotel or place of your wedding? Happy planning!!!

  19. Hello Suman! Welcome to the forum, this is the best place to get ideas and vendors for your wedding!!! Any ide where your wedding will be at?
  20. And just to make things even easier, Wal-Mart also sells Veuve and Moet. Not sure on prices though, but you have a wide variety of choices now
  21. Dear Tammy!!! Congratulations on your wedding pictures, it had to be Juan Carlos Tapia!!! There's the saying that "you get what you paid for" I'd like to congratulate Juan Carlos for such terrific pictures, he was able to capture the moments of your wedding and not just nice scenary images. All Cabo photographers have a very tough job because the surroundings are so beautiful and they can get carried away. But Juan Calos was able to capture the essence of your personalities. Well done for Juan Carlos and for your pictures! Congratulations:)

I've done a google search and I found a link IdoStream live wedding webcast, broadcast and video streaming. Share your wedding live online for friends and family who cannot make it to the event. which I thought is pretty cool to set up, but I'm afraid that there may not be any internet signals on the beach. The resort only have a few hotspots to use the wireless, but other than that - I'm not too sure. Any thoughts? Dear LilyWu, It is nice to hear from you again, regarding your question... I know very well the beach where your wedding will be held at and I happen to know a bit or two about live streaming... I'll tell you thought, in order to have the wedding broadcasted live from that particular spot on the beach will cost you quite some money... Here's why: * First of all I can be done, just need the right tools. * You need to rent (buy), a big signal booster to get a steady signal from the location of your wedding. * The closest internet hub is at the restaurant by the pool (about 250 yards away from the ceremony area) * You will need a dedicated stream so you can upload with no problem. * Usually, all hotels have internet hotspots but their signal is kind of weak. * I am thinking, cabling from the hub to the site, a booster for the internet conexion and a dedicated server to stream live. Hhmmmm I should get this idea rolling right? Maybe next time, I can offer this service also right? Have a great day and too bad I wasn't available to do your ceremony!

Congratulations! The best for you guys always!
  24. Dear sn2bski, You have just asked a very simple question... I had the privilege to work with Mariano and Bradley, they are both great! Mariano has the great angle for images in his mind. Bradley is one of the most profesisonal photographers I have ever seen. Either one of them is perfect, although for what you are asking I will go with Bradley any given day.
  25. Welcome MexiBride! This forum is the best thing for wedding planning, no question is too small or dumb enough... Just ask for help when you need it and we'll give you a hand. Congratulations!!!!!
