  1. I actually love the first dress ... but I'm not the one wearing it and it's always different when you try a dress on -- so keep that in mind. I had the vision of my PERFECT dress -- and I found it -- but when I tried it on it was ALL WRONG. It looked HORRIBLE on me and the cut/style just wasn't flattering. I ended up going with a dress that I would have never even tried on, but at a friends prodding, I did and I became one with that dress. Your perfect dress is also GORGEOUS though -- don't get me wrong. I am just glad I didn't buy a dress w/o trying it on.
  2. That is sssooo awesome!!! I am just starting abck to the gym w/ a trainer and on diet pills from my doctor -- it worked for almost 20 lbs in 3 months last January-March ... so that's my goal this year before the big day in April. I have friends who ahve done WW -- I haven't tried that though. Did LA Weight Loss about 1.5 years ago -- but didn't stick with it very long.
  3. I bought my TTD dres on eBay for $97. I am probably not going to have any alterations done or a bustle unless I really, really need to, in order to save money.

I just have to print everything at home, which means figuring out why my personal printer isn't working. I usually print everytrhing at work but the iron-on transfer paper you can't use in the industrial printers/copiers b/c the heat is too much and it melts to the fuser. Perhaps I can get them done this weekend!
  5. Ordered mine on Sunday and they shipped yesterday! I ordered the iron-on transfer paper that was available on the CheapTotes website, so hopefully it is a perfect fit for that type of bag.

  7. I tried to post a whole explanation with this last night, but the forum was acting up. Basically, the GM are wearing khaki shirts with a single embroidered palm tree down the side with khaki colored chinos and Reef Dram flip flops. Our Dad's are wearing khaki shirts with small palm trees embroidered on the chest with cream colored chinos. So, these shirts would be fine with either cream or khaki pants or shorts (up to their Mom) and Reef flip flops top match the GM. My main question is whether or not this shirt has too much going on sine everything else will be pretty plain. The other option is to buy plain khaki shirts and have the girl who is doing my BM bags just embroider a similiar palm tree to what is on the guys shirts onto the shirts for our little guys as well. These shirts are available in a tom of different online stores. This site has just the shirt (for boys and men in several colors) or a set w/ matching shorts for toddlers. There are also dresses for little girls and women to match. Hibiscus Creek Boys' Cabana Set

  9. oh wow, that dress is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love it! It looks like it costs a million bucks!!!

  11. My MOH just sent me some pics of her in her dress. She has to get some alterations, especially in the bust area ... but I think it looks great. She is trying to lose a little weight before she takes it in for alterations. Do you notice the front hangs lower than the back though? Weird. I also think I like the side tie like the model has as opposed to tying it in the back though.
  12. I just re-read your last paragraph and see that you got it all worked out for the most part. Sorry for just skimming your post before blabbing my two cents. lol
  13. I totally 100% know how you feel b/c I have been dealing with similar BM issues. Is there a chance L might be wanting to back out, or not be able to go for some reason, and is trying to shy away or avoid wedding-talk for that reason? I only ask b/c I had one BM drop off the face of the earth (she lives locally) and then send me an email that she wasn't able to go to the wedding. It is definitely tough. I have to remind myself that NO ONE is more excited and into this wedding than I am and that some people just don't want to hear about it all the time (even though I only bring it up when people ask anymore -- I used to be in wedding mode all the time though). Anyway, I can totally relate to how you feel -- especialy when it's BM and friends who aren't being the kind of friends you expected during this exciting time. The only advice I can give you is to try not toake it to heart b/c no one else thinks this wedding is as important as we do as the bride!!!
  14. Well, I used the more informal Boarding Pass Invites and had return address labels with our logo on them made from Vista Print. We also used a bright orange envelope (so not very formal wedding at all) and put the return address sticker on the front left corner. I think it depends on how formal or informal your invites are going to be. Everyone loved the casual feel to ours.
  15. Love them! they are beautiful! Where did you find that starfish clipart? I don't think I've seen that one before! GREAT job!!!

I know what you mean! I still have a forst green BM dress from years ago with bright white think lace trim. ssooo UGLY!!!! And it was like a polyester material. Ugh!
  17. And I think the champagne color of the dresses with complement my wedding dress perfectly! Here is some of the detailing on my dress.
  18. All of my BM have received their dresses and they all LOVE their dresses! They all need small alterations but I am ssoo pleased that every single girl has called to tell me how beautiful the dress is and how much they love the color and that they can wear it again after the wedding!!! This is my Matron of Honors dress: These are the Bridesmaids dresses, but they are also in the champagne color (as above). The girls all got measured at their local bridal salons, but then ordered the dresses individually from 2008 Prom Dresses - Wedding Dresses - Bridemaids - Mother of the Bride Gowns. The prices were about $20-$30 less than any other websites, and about $50 less than ordering it from a salon ... and each girl was able to get FREE shipping and have it delivered directly to them (rather than having to do a bulk order w/ one shipping address as I found to be the case with most other online stores).
  19. The pics are so tiny, I can't decide without seeing more detail...
  20. I would think a hang tag would be easiest. Anything on the fan itself would be pretty tricky, at least to me.
  21. Beautiful! So glad you received it and that you didn't crack under the pressue and show Amos! :-)
  22. I love them both but I think the first one looks amazing on you!!! I like that maerial against your skin better than the lace for some reason. Beautiful!!!
  23. Oh, I do love it! One more thing to pack and lug down there, but it is too cute!
  24. Great stuff! Thank you so much for sharing! You must be ssoo excited!!!!
