Searching the Forum
foxytv replied to LCBride2007's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
Great thread Ann! I was guilty of this when I first joined the forum as well ... and now I also see many others new members doing the same thing. Thanks for the refresher. It is easier to get answers if you search for the topic first -- b/c many of us are not necessarily going to respond to a new thread that is almost exactly the same as previous threads we have already responded to (at least I am less likely to...) Cheers! -
My dress came in and...
foxytv replied to LadyP's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Beautiful Catherine!!! What a great deal and what a great job taking the pic of yourself. lol. It looks like it fits you great ... but I can't wait to see it totally on whenomeone else can take a pic for you! It's such a gorgeous dress and you should be very pleased with the deal you got! I LOVE EBAY!!!! -
Well, I know a lot of Canadian brides get married in the Dominican Republic. I think airfares are really reasonable from Canada to the DR, and there are certainly plenty of resorts to choose from. Any all-inclusive resort is more than likely going to have every single thing that you mentioned you are looking for. That's what all-inclusives (AI) are all about! Good luck and once you naroow down the island ... brides from that area can help you with resort suggestions, etc. This forum is a great asset. Start browsing and searching and you will have way too many places to choose from in no time! Good Luck!

Punta Cana Photographers
foxytv replied to DestinationBrideApril08's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Not bad! I tend to not want a lot of posed pictures, but they do have lots that aren't so posed. The quality is great and it's nice to see so many different Punta Cana area wedding pics! So what do their package prices look like? -

Brown BM dresses for Cabo??
foxytv replied to brandy '08's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think the brown would be very pretty. My BM's are wearing a champagne/beuge colored dress. There are no limits and anything goes for your DW -- so go for it! You can incorporate the fuschia and green into the bouquets, jewelry, ceremony and reception accents, etc. Brown is probably a color dress that your BM's would appreciate b/c they might be more likely to wear it again as a cocktail dress. These are the flowers my BM's are using and they might also nicely complement a brown BM dress. -
Yeah, I have NEVER liked her. She is so fake and NOT intellgent. But she can't even fake intelligence on that show. It hurts me to say I've watched it before -- but it's kinda of like a train wreck or accident -- sometimes you just can't look away.

Funny thing is, my wedding is less than a month away (February 15th) and now I have ordered all these things that I will have to make right before we leave LOL. I ordered the natural canvas bags from cheap totes and I am going to attempt to buy iron on paper and put a design I made onto them. I've never done any sort of iron ons so if anyone has an tips I would really appreciate it! I also decided I wanted to do mugs but I wanted to personalize them. I actually order these cups that have lids from Oriental Trading and you can personalize them on paper and the paper slides in around the cup! They look sort of chinsy but I think they will do the job. I've also decided to make luggage tags - I got the idea from someone else on here and bought them from Oriental Trading as well and plan on making them myself. Anyways! I am so happy that I found this site! You ladies and your ideas are so wonderful!! When I get all of my things made I will be sure to post them! Hey! That is great that you are doing so much. Crazy with only a month left, but great. lol Your guests will be so surprised and will love all of your hard work. Can't wait to see pics. I totally know to do it, but would have forgotten. You ROCK!

If you know someone who sells AVON, ask them to purchase a bunch of the samples for you (Skin So Soft, Lotions, sunscreens, etc). The sizes are perfect and they get them for a great price. My Mom sells it so I just told her how many of everything I needed and when they were on special she would order things.

Here's a link to the name change form. U.S. Passport Re-Application Form: DS-5504

There wasn' much difference in price. $127 for expediting the application and $45 for pics & processing.

I expedited mine for the extra cost and she said 2-3 weeks, so ... fingers crossed.

I finally made it to the Post Office to apply for my Passport today. I was pleased to find out that there is a form we can fill out and mail back in after our name changes at NO COST as long as it is within 1 year of your inital Passport application. So, any of you ladies who will be changing your last name -- make sure you ask for this form if they do not offer it to you. I had a really nice lady who asked if I would need it, b/c otherwise I wouldn't have known and would have paid to get a new Passport with the name change. So, FYI.
