  2. That is SSSSOOOO exciting! You and Amir must be oozing with positive energy right now! I am crossing fingers and toes for you! That is such FABULOUS news!!! You are right, even if it doesn't work out for this one, it opens the door, gives him a chance to get his face and name out there a little bit more ... and gain some great auditioning experience!
  3. So my trainer has gotten on me about not eating breakfast. Yes, I KNOW it's the most important meal of the day, blah, blah, blah ... but I am always either running late or just don't think about it. If I do eat breakfast -- I like scrambled eggs w/ cheese and a double order of hashbrowns -- scattered, smothered and covered from Waffle House. I know -- but I LOVE Waffle House! Anyway ... moving on ... I am trying to be good and eat a healthy breakfast these days so that all this working out isn't all for naught. So, my trainer suggested yogurt, so I got some Activia. God, I HATE yogurt. I am gagging trying to get this crap down. I got some smoothies too, but really don't like milky stuff very much, and milk doesn't settle well with me anyway. So, I'm looking for suggestions of some tasty, healty, easy breakfast foods. I know fruit and granola bars, stuff like that. But help me find some things that I will be likely to eat ... and that aren't time consuming to make.
  4. Congrats on your upcoming wedding and I hope you are finding everything you need on here!

  7. I can't speak to what's available at Dreams, but I am considering the same thing. I just emailed our WC at PPC to find out how much a make-up trial is. If the price isn't outrageous, I will do a hair and make-up trial the day before the wedding. If I don't like the way they do the make-up ... I'll just do it myself on the wedding day.

If you go snorkeling what are your options 1) leave it in the room 2) take it with you. In either case, that's a big risk I wouldn't want to take. Theft in hotels happens everywhere. Heck during my last trip the TSA at Philly airport stole my battery charger and a new pack of batteries from my suitcase. But, that's the joy of traveling I guess ;0) Laptops are stolen from corporate/business travelers all the time. So it's not just poor or remote islands. Don't let this one review ruin your trip or scare you. It happens EVERYWHERE. Mexico, Jamaica, St Thomas, Aruba, Hawaii, cruise ships. Every place has its own horror review (some legit, some not). Just use common sense when you travel and you'll be ok no matter where you go. And if any of you have a ring worth $25K & are heading out for a DW, I'll give you the number to QVC, order yourself a fake ring for the trip, and leave the real one at home :0) Very well said! My wedding is in the DR and I have guests who are concerned about safety there ... but again -- things will happen anywhere. It's up to each of us to take the appropriate steps to ensure our safety and the security of our valuables (and when it comes to valuables ... except for our wedding rings ... anything valuable will be left at home).
  9. I think some resorts have stipluations, but not the DR as a whole.
  10. Like what types of things are you thinking if you don't want beach related? There are plenty of non-beach related Limoges that could work and be used as a keepsake after the fact.
  11. welcome and good luck with everything! this is a great place for advice and ideas!
  12. If you don't have much luck with responses to this, you might just want to find some red flower bouquets that you like and send pictures to a vendor to see about replicating it.
  13. Congrats and welcome to BDW! You've come to the right place for planning!
  14. Not to my knowledge. But that being said, we arrive on Wednesday and our ceremony isn't until Saturday.

That is a really good idea ... b/c there is no going back on the decision -- but if she is insistent like you say, you have to be ready for her to potentially say something negative about your choice in the dress you picked. I would have the opposite problem with my FMIL. She would want to go and would love absolutely everything I tried on. lol.
  16. Okay, I am ordering. What a great deal! I'll be PMing you the order (I'll be getting 7) and can pay via PayPal immediately.
  17. So funny to see how times have changed!!!! Thanks for sharing. What a good laugh!
  18. I think as long as you do the door hangars in a way that doesn't indicate the day/time of the wedding or any other types of specifics you will be okay. But just be careful about how you design them.
  19. Here are copies of the menus that I have thus far for Paradisus Punta Cana. We will be doing our rehearsal dinner at one of the restaurants (Romantico probably) ... so if you are having a large group, you have to select one item from each section and it is served as a set menu, but for no additional charge as long as you are not privatizing the restaurant. Just FYI ... Albufera.pdf Romantico - Ingles Actual.doc Marino.pdf
  20. For any of you PPC brides, here are the different beach reception menu options. It is served as a buffet. We are going with the Caribbean menu. CARIBBEAN MENU.doc MENU CHILL OUT.doc UNDER THE SEA MENU.doc PIRATE MENU.doc
  21. Great pics! Glad to hear that he is a joy to work with!

Some were prints, some solids, and all different colors, materials and textures (and it was a HUGE wedding party). I just saw it yesterday but can't for the life of me remember whose blog it was on...
  23. We are not using bout's or corsages. Only bouquets for the BM's.
