  2. My TA is with AAA Vacations and worked with Travel Impressions, which is a tour operator company that deals directly with our resort. I don't know how common it is for a company to lower prices if you sign on for a particular rate, but it's question I never event hought to ask -- so I would definitely add it to your list when you discuss this with TA's. I certainly would have been more diligent had I known that rates were going to go down b/c we had 4 couples who booked on their own based on the rates and it kept us from getting some extrpgrades and freebies.

  4. I am not familiar with either ... we use WedQuarters for oiur website and I am using mostly spreadsheets and such from the forum for the budget planning, etc. I use The Knot, WeddingChannel, etc for timeline info, etc.
  5. For starfish on the wedding cake ... I am assuming that candy molds are the best thing to use. Any other thoughts? I would like to give my WC some recommendations since I sent her the pic of the cake that I want.
  6. My trainer wants me to try Soy Milk b/c I am lactose intolerant ... but I just cant stomach it. I grew up drinking Vitamin D ... and still love it ... but now use 2% for cooking, etc. I rarely drink milk on its own ... but I LOVE dairy!!

But I think he took your frustration and feelings into consideration and since he is the 'middle-man' here, I think he was trying to make you happy. With all that said, I hope everything gets worked out. That IS a good point. I'm sure he THOUGHT he was doing the right thing, but as AnnR said, guys don't get how delicate the relationship is between DIL and MIL.
  9. I called the bridal salon in early January t ask when I should have my first fitting ... and she told me to wait and call back the first week in February to schedule the first appointment. I won't need much in the way of alterations ... just taken in from the bust to waist and the bustle added. The length and everythig else is perfect. But I know what you mean about stressing regardless. As we get closer, it seems like I am stressing about ssoo much more than I need to. I can't imagine what it will be like when we are just 2-3 weeks out! lol
  10. Well, I can tell you that when we locked in our group rates last May, those rates were the lowest available for the resort ... and the airfare prices were pretty low too. Over time, I'd say 6 months, our Group Rates for the resort remained lower than booking online ... and airfares continued to rise. However, since November, resort rates online are LOWER than our Group Rates and we can not get the lower rate b/c we locked those rates in. This was something I didn't know to ask about. For our honeymoon, we just reserved through the resort's 800-number directly -- and did not have to put down any deposit. We were also told that if a lower rate becomes available that we just have to call back to the 800-number and they will adjust the rate.
  11. Thanks for sharing! I love her dress! I can't wait to see more pics, but you did just fine to get us some teasers!!!
  12. Very cool! I love the concept but WOW it is awfully expensive, especially after you add-on all the extras.

LOL No, passing it won't hurt at all. All you will feel is RELIEF b/c the pain and discomfort is INSTANTLY gone. Now, when guys have them, passing it is the worst pain for them (as you can imagine) ... but for us ladies, you won't feel a thing when it passes.
  14. Even if its not moving out on its own, the laser procedure to break up the stone is really simple and painless. I am really surprised your doctors haven't moved forward with a solution by now. Any time I have had one, if it doesn't pas within a few days -- literally -- they will seriously consider breaking it up with the laser. Are your drinking more water than you ever cared to?
