Everyone gave me their size and everyone's fits ... so if he is a Large ... the XL might be too big... I am not sure about shrinkage though....
  3. Thanks. I hadn't heard of this before!

Well, the book I bought is a pretty big paperback. I will bring it in to work and scan in a few pages with the Powerfoods, etc. Here's a link: Amazon.com: The Abs Diet for Women: The Six-Week Plan to Flatten Your Belly and Firm Up Your Body for Life: Books: David Zinczenko,Ted Spiker

Once I started Spinning I really started losing weight, it really helps melt away the pounds! I think my class is less intense than some, the instructor is in her 50's, but she's fabulously fit! Mm... thanks for the tip about the tight pants!
  7. It would have to be a weekend for me ... but my weekends are pretty booked between now and the wedding -- although mid to late Feb is open as it stands now. So, I'll keep checking back here to see what is decided!

I know everyone's body is different...but for the most part on a regular basis when I am not dieting, I eat about the same things as I am eating now...since I have dieted all my life, I always make a conscious effort at least during the week to eat about 1200 calories a day. Whereas some people like my co-worker who was skinny to begin with, lost 20 lbs toward the later part of last year. But she used to eat fast food like 3 meals a day everyday and 2 sodas a day, junk food snacks...I mean she ate like crap and I know from experience that when you eat so bad and then change to eating so good you loose alot faster in the beginning... So who knows...I will figure it out and I won't give up... I know what you mean! I could tell a difference in what I FELT like when I cut out sodas and fast food a few years ago. Not as lethargic as I was then. ANd you are right -- changing to good eating habits helps shed the pounds faster. I'm reading The Abs Diet for Women and the 12 POwerfoods they suggest you use a lot really aren't bad (except that I don't like peanut butter, lol). So, I am going to give it a shot eating more of the types of things they suggest ... b/c I eat pasta or starches as often as I can and I know that's a big no-no.
  9. Okay, I'm trying to get inspired! I will at least go to the orientation class! :-) It will be a good way to not feel guilty for overindulging a few hours later -- for SuperBowl Sunday!!!

  11. I love the 2nd to last one, the close-up of you two w/ you in the red coat! It pops!

Oh, I never even thought about downloading shows to my iPod. I always just put in a Cardio playlist ... but I have video iPod, so I can do this!!! My gym doesn't have the little TV's, so that's kind of a bummer ... but I can at least download some shows or movies! Thanks for the tip!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Wisco4 Great job! FH is in totally awesome shape ... me, I've got some work to do before April. I actually slacked yesterday ... went to the gym but only did the elliptical for like 20 minutes, then did some ab work and went home. I guess some is better than nothing but this is going to be a SUPER busy week and I didn't need to backslide for that one day...

  14. When I lost weight last year ... I didn't see/feel any results in the first few weeks .. but then BAM it was like all of a sudden. SO definitely give yourself more time. My trainer did say 6 weeks before I will see any real results, so I'm gonna trust her and keep working on it! lol

Ha, I wish I could be uninvolved in the process. Guests will drive us CRAZY! And I think prices will definitely keep going up if history is any indication. Hopefully there will be some good sales between now and then for your guests. The ones who haven't booked yet for ours -- I am just not worrying about.

  22. Oops ... sorry I am brain dead today. Okay, good, you have the Photobucket stuff done. Then just copy the IMG tag (the last one listed under the photo you want to post) and copy that into the body of your thread post.
