I'm looking for a company that can do that for me with our wedding logo pre-printed!! Make more sense? Oh, I was referring to Otis1230's post with my unclearness. lol Anyway, do a Google search for "personalized luggage tags" and you should find what you are looking for. Here's one site. Luggage Tags

OTC only sells the luggage tags, but doesn't provide templates.

  5. hhmm ... I might be a taker on that deal. Just gotta do a little research on film costs first! I'll get right back to ya if I am interested!
  6. Okay, sounds like THIS is the place to go if you want to have a few cold ones and meet some great DR forum members. It's located just outside of the Occidental in Punta Cana ... but it's not recommended that you walk if you are coming from any other resort. We are going to make a few trips here, for sure! Not exactly a 'younger' crowd ... but b/c it's other DR forum (not BDW forum) members, it sounds like it's fun and good way to meet others. http://www.worldisround.com/articles/342789/index.html
  7. In the DR, even the symbolic ceremonies have a signing afterwards ... so the certificate is provided for you.

Everyone who has done it that has posted here on BDW says it's so similar to the legal ceremony that no one will know unless you tell them. And since so many couples do the symbolic ceremonies now, resorts are much more in-tune with making sure they appear true to form, for all intents and purposes. I was worried about this at first too, but no longer. Now, if I can just get FH to keep his mouth shut b/c he is so excited about signing our legal paperwork he's been letting it slip that we'll be legally married before we leave for our DW. I think duct tape...
  9. I think any band would cover up that side stone ... but it would only be on the one side ... so that's not too bad. But as others have said ... not wearing a band or wearing a band on your left and e-ring on your right has become pretty commonplace. My wedding band doesn't allow for wearing an e-ring ... so my e-ring will move to the right hand, or put safely away and brought out on special occassions.
  10. Cool! I better get busy on this one since I skipped out on February's!
  11. Tom and I want to do something fun for our first dance, but he can't dance worth dhit and we are running out of time for lessons (we have a Fred Astaire dance studio here, and they'll give us private lessons to our own song ... but it's $345-$975 -- OUCH!!) Anyway ... on the way to work this morning I heard this OOLLDD 80's hair band song that would be so totally perfect. "Never Let You Go" by Steelheart. It starts out slow and then crescendos into this harder love song ... but really the words are perfect. I think Tom will be into it too .. just gotta figure out how we would dance to it!

I bought everything in the past few weeks and spent less than $150 for probably about 65 bags. I got Tylenol, Pepto Bismol and the bags on ebay; sanitizer wipes at Staples; bandaids and alcohol wipes at Dollar Tree; Shout wipes from Minimus; and lip balm from Avon. Thanks for the tips on which stores gave you the best deals!
  13. Oh I like, I like! I've got to do another OTC order ... so I think I'll be adding the beach balls, water guns, bubbles and coin purses (depending on how much $$ I can squeeze out of a dry turnip -- being our wedding account, lol). I still have to get the Advil, etc too. Ugh..
  14. Morgan definitely for BtoB MotM. I'll put my thinking cap on to narrow it down for Mrs... Too many great choices!
  15. Easter -- only b/c St. Patty's is coming quick (although so is Easter) ...
  16. I am using the rhinestone starfish in my bouquet and I got rhinestone palm trees and flip flops for my BM bouquets. So, your crystals will take the place of that and I think will look lovely! They are easy to add and take away so once you have the bouquet, just play around with it until it's perfect for you! :-)
  17. How in the world are you going to get those branches to your DW in one piece. Love it though!!! Maybe we'll do something like this for our AHR. Great idea!
  18. This link has lots of pics in a portfolio (updo's at the top, then half-up/half-down and all down near the bottom). Hair Comes the Bride - Brides This has some great before and afters. Hair Comes the Bride - Passions photo shoot (Heidi, there is a style towards the bottom of this page that would look GREAT with your curly hair -- you'll know which one I mean) Minus the feather and not quite so wild with the curls, what do you think of this? I also found this:
  19. We used the Boarding Pass templates ... so it was 5 pages of info ... but this is really the only specifics we gave (except for travel agent info and resort name). We added our wedding website url and keep that up-to-date with specifics. Please join family and friends To celebrate the marriage of Tom & Tami In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic On Saturday, April 19, 2008 Followed by a Stateside Reception In Greenville, South Carolina On Saturday, May 17, 2008
  20. Why even bother? I didn't put the times on our invites at all. I'm including it in their OOT bags (a timeline of events). No one needs to know the ceremony/reception time until they get there anyway.
  21. You can still complain, Carly. Especially since you told them which one to print and they printed the wrong one. Personally, I have not cared one bit if our colors match or whatever. Heck the orange paper and envelopes for our invites was pretty much neon ... when our 'accent colors' are said to aqua and coral ... so I am just ho-hum about it ... but if it bothers you, totally say something, sister! I'm sure they would rather you say it to them than complain to others or not be happy -- regardless of the price they offered.
  22. Well, since my other laptop died, I lost all the friggin' hair ideas that I had worked so many months to save. So I am trying to re-assess my hair options. Lots of the pics in this thread are showing up as 'x' for me, which is a bummer ... but I'm starting to get some new ideas and find some of the same ideas I had saved prior. Lots of new ladies on BDW lately, so keep this thread rolling and add some of your fave hair and/or make-up ideas. I keep going back to this one for hair... But I also like this ... although it might be awfully formal for a beach wedding ... with little chance of staying in place, perhaps. And of course, Edyta's hair is an all-time favorite. I am just afraid it wouldn't hold it's shape b/c my hair is so thin...
