I like the beaded orange one you are considering. Have you tried Women's Shoes, Men's Shoes, Kids' Shoes, Handbags - 6PM.com -
Which Mugs to Use?

Thanks so much for all the input!!! -
I LOVE LOVE them both!! I can't believe no one has asked for a link! WHERE DID YOU FIND THEM? If you can swing it $$-wise, I would definitely get both (but if you are anything like me, you'll end up keeping both, lol). My personal fave is the orange but both would look great with the dress AND afterwards!

And are the mugs that happened on all from discountmugs?? -
Ugh ... while I'm not on WW, I am trying to focus on weight loss and toning up through exercise and eating "better". I fell off the wagon for 4-days last week and already notice a "bleck" change in me ... in the way I both feel and the way I look. Now -- it's back to focussing on the prize. T-minus 52 days to go...

Do some people really not know that being a BM is more than just an honor ... that it means helping out? Obviously too many don't think that way. aarrgghh!!! But, it will get done, I promise you. ATV for the guests in Punta cana

But if you book through your hotel you are pretty much locked in to the price (which is relatively high). I would do a Google search for "Punta Cana ATV Tours" or "Jeep Safari Punta Cana". A ton of places come up. You have to sift through a lot -- but some of the other other DR forums also have threads that are more detailed in terms of the ATV and general excursions. -
I bought these on eBay for $69.oo but the color is a true ivory and my Mom's pearl necklace is a dark ivory ... so they do not match. These are beautiful and I wish these pics were better (these are the eBay pics I saved ... and my camera isn't working -- but I can get better pics this weekend if anyone wants to see more). Make me an offer. I just need to try to recoup some of the cost of some things I've bought but can't use. These are gorgeous earrings and will look perfect with an ivory dress.

I bought this handbag to use w/ my dress, but while the color is "champagne" ... the trim on my dress is much darker than the bag -- so I want to find a different bag. This bag is gorgeous and I'd love to keep it but unless I win the lottery (if only the BDW Lottery was REAL money!) I am afraid I am going to have to sell any of the items I have bought but won't be using. Anyway ... I paid $25.60 + $5.50 shipping ... but am willing to take BEST OFFER or a minimum of $25 (I'll cover shipping in US) if anyone is interested. Here is a direct link to the item description and some reviews of the bag: La Regale Beaded Small Pouch > Evening Bags > Handbags - eBags

Girl, I am still stressing about the upcoming DW but I KNOW how you are feeling. My main concern is $$$ for the AHR!!! But I haven't done one single thing for it yet either -- and don't plan to until we get back. How elaborate are you making it? I'm trying to keep our AHR as simple as possible. Even planning on making our own cupcake tower -- but I have a feeling I will run out of time. lol. The BM who was supposed to do it is no longer a part of the wedding ... and I COMPLETELY relate about getting no help from your MOH. My sister is the ONLY BM helping with ANYTHING (and she lives 2+ hours away).

Ew, I don;t like to hear that. I wonder if any other former brides saw this as a problem? -
You could stand parasols up at the end of each aisle along with a large starfish (I think Sarah had something similar to this??) We are putting down some greenery and coconuts ... but our aisle will be in the gardens leading to a gazebo that overlooks the beach. Also, do an Advanced Search for "huppa" and "aisle" in some of the other sections. There are tons of great pics and ideas on here, but I don't think there are many in the DIY area yet. Here is what we are doing: And a few pics of other options I had saved from beach pics at my resort (some of the other girls have much better ideas, though!):
-
We are doing informal welcome receptions each night. In the letter I'm sending out a few weeks ahead of time -- I am putting in the time and location of each night's welcome reception. (Since it's an AI, I didn't want to spend extra money). So one night it will be the Lobby Bar, one night the Beach Bar, etc etc etc. And I will have the OOT Bags to hand out to the new arrivals each night.

Dreams Punta Cana - Golf
foxytv replied to shelley0930's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
There are tons of fabulous golf clubs in Punta Cana. MOst will provide transfer service between the resort and the course. Have you not done a Google search for "Punta Cana Golf" yet? There is the Cocotal, Punta Cana Golf Club, Punta Cana Golf Academy, to name a few.... There are a number of golf courses in the area to choose from, with new ones under construction. Check with your hotel, some offer special rates or packages for nearby golf courses. Here's a comprehensive list... Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism - Official Site - Vacation Travel, Caribbean Vacations, ecotourism destinations, tour and travel planning Then ... "Regions", "East Coast" and "Golf" at the bottom of the page. (for some reason the link won't post directly in here). -
2008 Self Challenge-drop a size in 1 month
foxytv replied to stei0419's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
It's a TOTAL PITA to add all of the foods that you eat (well, if you don't follow the meal plans as they have them listed). But it made me realize that lunch alone was 1,057 calories, at best. EEK!!! -

Guys in Shorts or Pants
foxytv replied to Cole5worm's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I say pants but that's just a personal preference for a wedding, DW or not. But it truly is totally up to you guys and as long as your bridal party is dressed in a way that complements the feel you want for your DW, then it will all be perfect. -

This will be one time in our life that we can really splurge; hopefully after this, I'll go back to being a fiscally savvy person! You can always hope, right? No I totally understand not being able to part with the wedding stuff! I am still trying to pay off a ton of debt from well over a decade ago when I was a dumb little college kid who thought credit cards equaled free money. Luckily FH is very savvy with his finances. We are keeping separate accounts for now until I get things cleared up. I am great at bargain hunting and getting great deals -- but I also find way too many of them -- which is why we are over budget now! Ack! -

When I told them my dress budget, they should have shown me dresses actually in that budget w/ everything included! With these alteration prices (and the extras, the veil, the headpiece, and the bra), I was $1000 over my budget!!! And my dress budget was supposed to be less than $700!! Oh gosh, Jennifer, I feel your pain. That really sucks. Are you considering selling any of your bridal wear (dress, veil, etc) afterwards? Maybe you can recoup some of your costs that way. I am over budget by about $5000 ... on the entire DW, but not on the dress/ensemble. It SUCKS!!! -
what color bra?
foxytv replied to melwru's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Definitely in agreement with the others -- match your skin tone with a 'nude' or 'beige' color. -
You've got bigger balls than me, girl! NO WAY would I be able to stand in the middle of the road w/ no shirt or bra on. lol. But now that we see the end result there is no doubt running from the hikers was worth it! (you dirty little girl!!) Again, absolutely LOVE them!!

OMGOMGOMG!!! Are you friggin' KIDDING me?! You look HOT -- and I mean HOT!!!! Wow, you have no reason to doubt your gorgesou bod -- and that photog did a FABULOUS job! Were you really standing in the road with no top on?? They are absolutely unbelieveable!!!! Some phenomenal shots that I wish were my face on your bod with those backgrounds! WOW!!
