  1. So many great ideas on here already. We are doing a throw down drink-it-up weekend ... but there are so many other options. I wonder if there is a store like this in your town? www.beadedfrog.com They offer private jewelry classes -- you can pick what type of jewelry to learn to make -- and you can have food, alcohol (for those who want it) music, etc.
  2. Yep, Promotional tote bags custom sizes and styles from cheap totes. The $0.79 cent bags. Perfect size!!
  3. SWEET!!!! I just told Tom I was waiting for a coupon before buying the rest of our homemade soap supplies. Thanks!
  4. Finally got the iron-on transfers done and almost have all the *stuff* for in the OOT bags. Here are the bags. I am really happy with the logo. Even though our names are on them, I think/hope they will be used by our guests. Still have to get travel candles and the rest of the Advil, Pepto, etc. But otherwise we are pretty much DONE!!! Here's what's inside so far: -travel mug w/ logo -flip flop playing cards -tropical pocket-size tissues -flip-flop pocket calendar -hibiscus emery board -hibiscus hacky sack ball -lip balm -bug spray -spf 25
  5. So, my lingerie shower was last night. We had ssoo much fun. As soon as my girlfriend emails me the pics, I will of course post ... but I took this pic from my camera phone of the "Pin The Penis" on Tom game that we played. They found this HORRIBLE pic of Tom and blew it up and put his face on the poster. I was crying I was laughing so hard. The face fits perfectly. lol We all got blindfolded, spun around and then had to try to get his penis in the right place. I went last so mine (the Army camo colored one) is on top -- and *luckily* I did very well at getting his pee-pee in the right place. lol
  6. God, I know ladies! It is crazy how close we are. And still ssoo much to do! We can not wait for it to be here so we can wear these rings!!! :-) Quote: Originally Posted by vale Both rings are so pretty. 7. That's crazy sister. Sounds like you might want to shop around for better prices like Jessalyn did. I only have to have the bustle ... and it's $45.
  8. Gosh, I wore black pants and a sweater to the one w/ family -- but tomorrow it's all gitlfriends (lingerie shower) so I was planning to just wear jeans and find a cute top at the mall tomorrow afternoon...
  9. Thanks everyone! I can not even begin to tell you how ecstatic I am over the end result of these rings. Having only seen them online, you never know. They look even better in person!!
  10. Check the site where I got my ring. www.WeddingRings.com. They are in NY and did an amazing job w/ my ring.
  11. I got a palm tree for my MOH and different colored flip flops for the BM's. but most of the sites that have the starfish have the others as well. Palm tree is the most expensive.Flip flops are cheaper. Quote: Originally Posted by Betsy I only bought one for my bouquet but now I am wondering - did you purchase some for your BM's?

Talk about CRYING your eyes out for DAYS on end. Luckily, Tom was great about it (not much he could do in Iraq) and just said we'd replace it as an anniversary ring down the road. That's why I am ssoo glad when I found this wedding band b/c it doesnt need anything else with it necessarily. I actually thought I wouldn't wear an e-ring with it anyway ...but now that it's arrived and is thinner than I expected ... I think we might be able to find a simple small solitaire to wear with it. Definitely nothing as ornate as the original tacori though. (Unless he wants to get me another as a right hand ring, lol -- I sure wouldn't turn that down!!!) I also can't wait to see how our photographer shoots our rings b/c they really do complement each other so well. I am going to LOVE those pics, I just know!!
  13. I had a BM back out so I called to adjust my order and add bouquet jewels and they were more than accomodating. Just paid my final bill so they will be arriving soon.
  14. I wish I could find some of the pics when I had short hair. I used to wear my hair short all the time! I had the shaved in back long in front 'do ... and in high school it was shaved on one side, long and curly (and died orange) on the other. OMG!!!

I haven't been able to find pics of the exact ring, but this is the CZ "replica" that I am wearing now. I got it at Sterling Silver Jewelry, Cubic Zirconia Jewelry, Faux CZ Jewelry, and Imitation Jewelry for Less.. It's as close to my Tacori as I have been able to find. The real thing had two smaller stones on either side of the center stone as well. And the side detailing is a little different on a Tacori -- but this gives you an idea... Just found these pics on eBay. It, too, is a CZ knock-off ... but this is EXACTLY what my Tacori looked like (note the crescent silhouette edging) except it had the two side diamonds as I mentioned.
  16. My e-ring was a Tacori. Also very intricate and detailed. Center stone w/ two side diamonds and scalloped edging with small diamonds in each scallop. But, it was stolen last year so I am simply wearing a CZ replica now and will not wear an e-ring after the DW. I think we can find a simple ring to wear with the band now that we have it and see how it fits ... so Tom says for a 1-year anniversary we can get me a replacement for the e-ring. But the band alone is so beautiful! I can't stop staring at it!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Sarah Tami those are gorgeous! I love the intricate detail on yours. Remind me- what is your ering like? Is it a solitaire?
  17. It's all starting to feel oh-so-real now! :-) Tom's wedding band arrived a few weeks ago ... and mine came in yesterday. I have tried to take *actual* pics but they are so shiny I can't get them to show up with our camera or my camera phone. ACK! So I am posting the pics from the internet ... but they are the exact same rings as these (except Tom's is all white gold -- not the yellow gold trim as in this pic). Mine is not as wide as I expected based on this picture -- but it is absolutely PERFECT -- dainty and intricate and oh so sparkly. It fits like a dream!!! I love it way more than this pic. It has so much more shine and sparkle!! Tom's arrived safely from Ireland and he loves it as well. Both were custom made and I would recommend either company. Mine -- www.WeddingRings.com His -- Celtic Jewelry and Irish Jewelry - Celtic Wedding Rings and Irish Wedding Rings Neither of us can wait to wear them!!! (I've been wearing mine around the house all morning staring at it. lol.
  18. I like the alternative ideas. We will only have 3 single guys at the DW (65 year old bachelor friend and my two nephews 3 and 5 years old). I think about a half dozen single girls, all friends of mine. I think we are still going to do it (I have 2 garters, and Army one and a blue one from my Mom) but likely just let me little nephews duke it out.

  20. We are using an iPod and backing everything up on CD. Remember you have to bring the cables to hook up to the speakers though. They are not provided.
  21. P.S. I would sell /give you ine but our DW is after yours. lol
  22. Did you search the threads b/c there are TONS of places to get them for a little less.
