  1. OMG! Great pics! I love your cake. It was so beautiful until it was all smashed in your face. lol. How fun!!! MORE MORE MORE!!!
  2. Tom has been to Belize ... and actually after our DW he said Belize and the DR are his two favorite destinations. He talks about the jungles and caves and all kinds of cool stuff from his Belize days. We are going to have to go!
  3. I like that it's a different color -- but it's definitely not my style. Pretty though!
  4. We did pics in the gardens right after the ceremony and I kept it down for that ... but as soon as we started doing any walking to other locations, I had my sister bustel it. And we did pre-ceremony pics and I had it bustled for that sicne I was walking to see him for the first time. So most of my pics have it bustled. It's just a small train though.
  5. Love it! Great choice and it looks perfect on you!!
  6. We negotaited a lot of things. (search for my recent threads with my review, etc). I have posted a lot of info in them, but post additional questions here that aren't answered in those threads and I'll check back to give you my two-cents.
  7. YEAH!!! I can't wait til Carly is back to tell us all about it with MORE PICS!!! Thanks so much for posting that one -- they look adorable!!!
  8. Definitely Ann for MRS. BTB is tough this month -- especially since I haven't had access as much as I'd like, so I'm behind on a lot of posts...
  9. Love those pics! The cakes were really cool .. adn I loved her dress too. That is some big hair! She's a cute, spunky little thing, though!!!
  10. Silly girl! You know we never tire of PICS!!! I LOVE those pics!!!! What a fun time and of course you look gorgeous! Who is singing that "Sail Away With Me" song that Robin used? I really like it!
  11. Awesome! I'm waitinf for my deposit to take effect and then I'll add to the emergency fund as well. (I meant to do it last week and forgot, my bad).
  12. Thanks ladies! And we finally opened up al of our gifts and it looks like I will be able to get the new BD book sooner rather than later based on so many generous gifts from friends and family!! :-)

I got the different starfish (which they also used some of on the cake) while at the beach over the last summer. The shells I either had or my Mom collected on the beach in MD where they live. I brought everything home with us and had Tom's Mom bring sand from Hilton Head with them up to our AHR this weekend and made similar centerpieces for it. Everyoone loved them and the centerpieces cost about $3 each -- total. Our cake was I think $215 and I sent a pic of what I wanted (although it had candy shells and starfish, which I would have prefered) and they came up with this one. So, it ended up being less than $8 per person. If I can find the actual invoice I will let you know and you can tell her that you want my cake and how much I was charged. I'm sure they will match that price.
  14. YOu should totally be able to change it. Just email your changes back to your WC and also take printed copies with you, just in case. Our WC said we could use their cript or our own .. but since we added the Hand Ceremony, which we tailored for ourselves ... we were ok with the short and sweet vows.
  15. I did my own makeup. I thought about doing a makeup trial w/ them to see how they did ... but decided I knew better what I was comfortable with. 16. So awesome -- I am going to check it out and probably spend too much money, lol!!!
  17. Awesome! I love the one of you two running down the beach ... but they are all fabulous!!!
  18. We used the hairdressers at PPC as well and although it was a bit pricey -- I absolutely LOVED the job they did!!! I took in a few pics and showed the lady at the front desk of the salon what I wanted -- she communicated that, along with the pics, to the girl who did my hair (the hairdressers speak very, very little English). HOnestly, I was nervous b/c I didn't do a trial run based on their prices -- but I could not have been happier with the end result. i LOVED it! All but one of my BM's also had their hair done in the salon, and everyone was totally pleased!!! Our ceremony was at 3pm .. so I booked our appointments for 10am and 11am. I had her leave some wispy strands around my face but had to tuck them behind my ears because of the wind ... so keep that in mind. No bangs or extra wisps will make for better pictures and less hair tucking. :-) Here are a few pics.
  19. We didn't get any -- no one in our group did, and we had 40 people altogether. No one had any issues whatsoever.
  20. I love the t-shirts! Very cool. And good idea to have the starfish and shell candies made beforehand. They actually put real starfish and shells on our cake so we could only eat the back part that didn't have them on there. I made starfish and shell candies for our AHR and they looked awesome!
  21. Each dress maker should have sizing information available online. Always go with the sizing recommendation of that particular brand since all designers use different measruement guidelines. Is the dress brand available in any stores? If so, go there and try it on and get measured and use those measurements when ordering. David's does not do alterations on dresses bought elsewhere. I am not sure about other big-name bridal salons ... but most independent salons will do alterations on any dress for you.
  22. Nice. We did a Hand Ceremony just before exchanging our vows during the ceremony. We did the Sand Ceremony just before cutting the cake at the reception -- and we didn't have anything read with it. We just had everyone gather around and we poured the sand in. Kept it simple.
  23. Ours was for fun and to get some amazing pics you wouldn't otherwise be able to get. I had a 2nd dress that I bought on eBay and it was perfect. Didn't get trashed at all. Just needs to be cleaned.
  24. Beautiful pics! What a nice setting. I love the BM's w/ the parasols. That color looks great. And the Gazebo was decorated perfectly. You look amazing as well!!!

I could not be happoier with these teaser pics so I know the rest are going to be unbelieveable as well. Everyone loved them at the AHR yesterday -- but some people wondered how you captured so many beautisul shots with Tom's Mom jumping in front of you with her camera every 10 seconds. lol
