We would love to incorporate the uniform, but thought it would be a pain to get to Aruba. Any advice would be appreciated! Again, congrats on a beautiful wedding and getting married! Yes, he is in the Army. He wore his blues for the ceremony and changed immediately afterwards b/c it was so hot in that full dress. We also saw each other before the ceremony so he had his blues on for those pictures too ... but really he was sweating to death. I'm so glad we had a casual outfit for him for the reception. I had his dress blues in the bag with my wedding dress and we just carried it on the plane and hung it for the flight. No problems at all!

We had just about 40. Family and friends. Ages 4 to 80. Couldn't have been more perfect! -
OOT bags... Would you use these??
foxytv replied to dmarie17's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I like the palm tree bag (actually bought one at DT myself, lol) ... but not a fan of the one with the hula dancers.. -
Fun Chat Thread: What is the one thing you are glad you spent $$$ on?
foxytv replied to Alyssa's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Wow, there are several things. My dress was inexpensive, but I love it. Definitely photography. Tom never even bitched about that cost -- knowing it was truly the only thing that I really thought was non-negotiable. Switching resorts -- whiole we loved our wedding resort and could have stayed there all week -- our honeymoon resort was more luxurious and it gave us a chance to see more areas of Punta Cana. BD Book -- even though it was lost on the way home. I am getting another one (thank goodness) and I love it! Details -- whether it's my Army garter, shoes, jewelry, centerpieces ... not necessarily lots of money -- but I wouldn't have done it any different! Wedding Bands -- I am ssoo in love with both of our bands ... but again, they weren't crazy expensive anyway. :-) (I LOVE to find a good quality deal!!!) -

Just noticed that you are only days away from your 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! Congrats!!!

My OOT bags: what worked and what didn't
foxytv replied to Mandy's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Those welcome books ROCK! WOW!!! They are awesome -- as is everything else!!! -
Girl, I can TOTALLY relate more than you know!!! The very same thing happened to me -- one of my BM's (who I almost asked to be MOH) backed out for NO reasn via email. It crushed me ... still does in a way ... and DH can't do anything but spit nails when her name comes up. (He would love to see her out sometime and give her a piece of his mind, lol). I know how much it hurts ... and I can't tell you that the hurt will pass, b/c it hasn't for me. If it's of any consolation ... know that you are not alone in having this BS happen to you.

Some of the plates are cracked (but it doesn't show w/ the sand) ... so you probably wouldn't want the ones I have ... but they are still available at Dollar Tree's all over the place (at least here). If you can't find them, I'd be happy to buy them and ship them to you. They are really lightweight (plastic) but look really good! I'm going to buy more plates, bowls and tumblers to use as our patio serve-ware. Can't beat the price, they look great, and who cares if one gets lost of cracks, right? :-)

I actually do have some table runners and placemats that I did not use and was planning to return. PM me (or I'll try to remember to PM you) if you do want them. I am going to keep some just b/c I love them .. but I have lots of extras.

Still Issues with PhotoSouvenir!!!
foxytv replied to LadyCheese's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Glad to hear things are working out. I totally understand these types of frustrations and it is not the least bit fun to have a potential dark cloud over your wedding day. TA DINA rocks for being able to make some headway for all you Dreams PC brides! -
I thought I had already posted here several days ago ... but it might be one of the many times my computer crashes before a post takes effect. Anyway -- CONGRATULATIONS! I cried reading this entire story because it is all so beautiful and a miracle, despite the adversity and initial scares that you had! I'm so excited for this wonderful miracle for you and Paul!!! Thanks for being so crazy diligent with posting and pics! You are amazing!
