  1. At PPC, guests mingled at the gazebo ahead of time ... along with groom, grooms parents and groomsmen. Then, when music started (I brought CD's and had a particular order) the rest of us lined up (our room was right next to the gazebo so it was perfect for getting ready). Mom walked down aisle. Followed by ring bearers, BM's, and Dad & I. Judge and WC were at front of gazebo. Said the short and sweet blah blah blah's. Then, my uncle came up and read our Hand Ceremony. Then we said our vows, kissed, headed back down the aisle and the WC was there to pop open champagne for everyone. While we too pics, everyone mingled for a while with beer and champagne by the gazebo ... then headed to the bar near the reception site. We met them at the bar and then headed to the beach reception. We did our Sand Ceremony just before we cut the cake, instead of during the regular wedding vows, since we did the Hand Ceremony then.
  2. No customs issues. We stuffed the top of the vase with tissue paper and then put Saran Wrap and a rubber band around the top. The colors mixed a bit on the way home, but it's okay. Wrapped it in bubble wrap and had it in our checked baggage. Just be careful and you'll be fine.
  3. You have SUCH amazing pictures!!! What a beautiful couple you and Andy make!!!
  4. Great pictures! Juan does a very nice job! What does he charge? We honeymooned at PPR and LOVED it! It was great to look at pics of your wedding and have the memories of our time there resurface!
  5. Yikes! Saw this on the news at 5pm EST. WOW! I am glad so far, so good for you ladies!!!
  6. I love them both. Just be careful if it's windy ... looks like they are both short enough to give others an eyeful if there is a breeze, lol.
  7. Oh so beautiful! I love love love your dress, the guys suits, your flowers and how stunning you look as a bride!!!!!
  8. WELCOME! BDW is a fabulous resource, and there are more and more DR brides on here to offer advice and tips!!
  9. That made me tear up too! Great idea and a beautiful picture of you two. It will be perfect once your wedding pic together is next to it!
  10. Those are pretty fans and really a great deal at $1 each. And, since all but eggplant is out of stock til September, a great deal for a future BDW bride as well!
  11. I just told the WC where I wanted to do things ... so I would say to make the program how you want it to flow, and send your WC a copy. That's what I did and they were really easy to work with and accomodating. Basically, the ceremony is short and sweet ... quick vows ... so you can really do whatever you like.
  12. gosh, i haven't been as active as i used to be as of late, so i am not sure who to vote for, although it looks like there is some stiff competition.
  13. They are all great suits, but it's really hard to tell which one will flatter and complement your dress the best w/o seeing your dress. You should probably take the dress w/ you to truly see it with each suit. I love them all.
  14. Absolutely amazing pics! I can't believe everything turned out so vibrant with that kind of weather! Stunning!!
  15. How fun!!!! It's definitely NOT to early to start having wedding-related events! Wine Clubs rock, lol.
  16. Congrats! I love HHI. The in-laws retired there so we go visit often, since it's just 4 hours away. Looks like a windy, yet beautiful ceremony! :-)
  17. Jamy & Christa & Raeka for sure ... but there are oh so many to pick from! Carly, Alyssa, Shelley, Morgan ... the list goes on and on and on...
  18. We had a lot of push-back ... but those who made it (we had about 40) couldn't have been more ecstatic about how it went and everyone wants to go back and now think a DW is the only way to go. Bottom line though, follow your (and DH) heart. It's YOUR day. I'm glad we stuck to our guns and all of our guests are as well!
  19. I got a bright colored pail and serving tray from Old Tyme Pottery and then unlined 3X5 index cards and colored Sharpies. Guests wrote messages on the cards and left them in the pail. We got some great sayings and advice and I'm going to make it into a scrapbook with pics from our DW and AHR.
