I'm disappointed in the acting ability of some of the stars on 90210 - but I'm hooked anyway. :-) The acting just seems very cheesy to me.

The area of the beach that we used is in front of the Scuba store on the beach, and where the volleyball net is during the day. It comes complete with a "deck" area that was our dance floor. I bought lots of my starfish on eBay for some great prices. I'm just not willing to get rid of them b/c I am now using them, sand dollars and shells as decor in our home. If I was going to be at the beach in time before your wedding, I would pick some up for you, b/c I also bought some at some of the beach stores on the coast -- but I bet someone on here would be able to pick some up for you. They were really inexpensive, and allowed us to use several different types/styles of starfish. But do look for the tiny starfish on eBay - they were awesome to mix in with smaller shells and everyone commented on them! (there is a shot of our centerpieces and cake using the starfish/shells/etc in the link to my Teaser Pics in my siggy). Good Luck!!! Your big day is almost here!!!!

Tom and I did not ... but one of his close friends and frat brother from college just got married to an AMAZING woman who I now also consider a friend ... and they met on eHarmony.com -- talked about it during the ceremony and reception and actually are ploying to be in an eHarmony commercial. They are so cute, I never believed in that stuff .... but they are a PERFECT couple!!!! Also, he is Jewish and she converted before he even proposed b/c she knew she wanted to spend her life with him! That's love, baby!

wow - can't believe all the threads I'm seeing tonight that I never posted on before now!! DH and I met a few years before we had out first date. He asked me out for about 2 1/2 years and I kept telling him no, lol!!! Our "first date" was Friday the 13 of May 2005. We got engaged June 13, 2006. He left for Iraq June 18, 2006 and returned August 23, 2007. We were married April 19, 2008. Lots of dates, I know!!! But bottom line is, we dated a year before getting engaged, but knew each other for about 2 1/2 years before we started dating.

That's a tough choice - I really like them both!!!!! I like the sweetheart neckline of number 2 ... but prefer the detailing in the middle on number 1 as opposed to the side detailing. However, I'm not much help b/c both look great on you!!!!

Don't know how I missed this before now b/c I'd been wondering about your wedding pics (I think I only saw a few in another thread) - but since I already knew most of the wedding details ... just let me say that you looked BEAUTIFUL!!!! You have such a fabulous smile and despite the turmoil ... it looks like it was a picture-perfect day! :-)

Your eyesight is similar to mine when I had it done about 7 years ago (I was -8.5 and -11.0). It was the best investment I ever made. Super-duper quick recovery - like a nap after the surgery to rest the eyes and then I was back to normal! I am still 20/15, with no surgery touch-ups since the procedure. I had "surgeon-care lasik". Can't say enough good things about it!!!

So it turns out I have to be back in town for work by Monday night (Oct 27) ... so I am thinking of coming into Chicago on Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. Then, I'll have to leave Monday mid-morning. DH is still going to come on Saturday, so I'll be free all Friday night and/or Saturday if that works for you Maura - and any other Chicago BDW's who want to get together!!!

I definitely prefer #2. The first one simply looks too small, like it's a size too small for you. So, alterations would be necessary and that would be on top of the already pricey price tag. #2 looks great, but I think you can honestly find a dress that is more flattering than either of those - unless your heart is set on one of those.

Plus it is as far away from the beach as you can get in the entire resort.
