  1. I just had "optional" meet-ups at different bars in the resort on the nights leading up to the wedding. That way, there was no additional charge, no pressure to attend, and it gave everyone a chance to mingle and meet. Our rehearsal dinner was just a big reservation at a restaurant (our WC set it up ahead of time) with a pre-set menu and it didn't cost extra either. There are plenty of options out there that won't cost you anything additional, luckily!!! :-)
  2. Don't worry about that etiquette crap ... all of our bridal party paid their own way - I had one back out due to finances (or so she said) and wouldn't accept our offer to cover the remaining costs for her. I think there are very few of us on BDW who paid all travel expenses for their bridal party.
  3. I am working on our photo books ... but in our DW travels, we failed to take any pics of the resort itself. I'm looking for hi-resolution pics of the exterior signage and then just some general "beauty" shots of the resort. If you have any of PPR, that would be great too, but I'd really like to find some of PPC to help round out our album. If you have any you don't mind sharing, I will PM you my email address ~ and if there's anything you need from me, please just ask! :-) Thanks in advance!
  4. OMG you have really outdone yourself ~ but it looks like there is no stone left unturned!!!! WOW!!! OK, there was so much to look at I know I'm going to forget some things I wanted to comment on.. First ~ I can't wait to hear all about your Punta Cana wedding! I hope you get Utsey as your guide on the busride from the airport to the resort - he is awesome! I love your veil!!! I love your cake inspiration (same as mine - but mine didn't quite turn out like that, lol) ... and the hang tags on your fans look suspiciously familiar, he he. :-) I think you will be so pleased with your mugs - I think we wasted money on ours (insulated travel mugs instead of what you're using). I can't wait to hear all about EdenH ... it looked unbelieveable while we were in Punta Cana!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and nice job packing and enlisting the help of others to get everything there!!!
  5. Those are great! Wish I had the time to get that done. So much stuff I never got to. Yours look amazing!
  6. Love the shoes - but WOW that's a lot of money for friggin' flip flops!
  7. It's amazing what these resorts will charge. We ended up leaving the gazebo with no decorations based on pricing ... but it was worth it b/c it was beautiful w/ no flowers, etc. I was going to have the aisle lined with coconuts and flowers but it was $100 and I didn't see the point.
  8. Something old: my Mom's pearl necklace that I had restrung and earrings and necklace made to match. Something new: my dress Something borrowed: Hankie my SIL used Something blue: blue VS thong Also, sixpence .... and I had an Army garter for hubby.
  9. I went of BCP well over a year ago when FH (at the time) went to Iraq. I still have some flare-ups from time to time but nothing too major. I had HORRIBLE skin growing up. I hope once I get a BFP that I don't have too much acne during pregnancy.
  10. Very nice! Not much to be taken in! But I know what you mean about hoping it will have to be, lol! You have plenty of time to get in the shape that you want! I worked out w a trainer 2x a week and 3 days on my own for the 4 months before my wedding and lost 10-pounds and toned up.
  11. Looks beautiful! Is there a full length pic of it? I didn't see one. Is the detailing silver or gold. Either way it looks great and probably not even neding a cleaning as much as our dresses did after our TTD's .... and came out good as new - or better! Great deal too! Can't wait to see you in it!
  12. We didn't even worry about this. I told them to wear whatever they wanted, but once my Mom told me she had gotten her dress, I told MIL what color it was and not to wear the same color. You could do the same thing - with all the Mom's and Step-Moms. That was easiest for us.
  13. Oh those are gorgeous! Great to have another recommended life-like flower option for brides!
  14. Everything looks great! I especially love the towels - and how darn thin you are!! Jealous!!!! :-)

  17. So we were at National Harbor in DC for Oktoberfest last weekend ... and saw this billboard that reminded us ssoo much of my little nephew Evan. We just thought it was too cute - so we had him pose ....
  18. We narrowed it down to two resorts and then used the more reasonably priced resort for the wedding and the more luxurious resort for our honeymoon. That decision worked out perfectly for us, because our DW resort had lost of activities, entertainment, etc as opposed to our honeymoon resort, which was more of a luxury resort with less nightlife. We knew our guests were going to be a majority of parties, so we took that into account. You may want to make a list of pros and cons for each resort for a)your desires, your MUST-HAVES, c) pricing, d)what you envision your guests enjoying most about each resort, etc etc etc and see where the hammer falls. I know it's a tough decision!

Ovulation Calendar - Free to Use I'm just beginning to learn more about this, but if you join Ovulation Calendar and Ovulation Chart - FertilityFriend.com, they will send you daily "course" that teach you about how to use your body to know the best times to conceive. It's really pretty simple. I'm only using CF right now to gauge the best times to concieve, but I'm going to get a BBT as well, and hopefully that will also help.

Emotionally I couldn't take it anymore so as sad as it may sound I gave up and I'm focusing on other stuff right now to keep my mind off it. Good luck to you and everyone else TTC. Maybe now that your not "trying" you will be surprised with a BFP one of these days, lol. On another note - anyone who uses Ovulation Calendar and Ovulation Chart - FertilityFriend.com - is it worth paying for the VIP membership? I am taking the courses online and they are very helpful - and the charts looks great - bt it seems that it's just as easy to chart yourself, or on one of the free sites - although I do really like all that FF has to offer...
  21. Yippee!!! So happy for you - and you are ssoo close to Mexico I bet you can TASTE it!!! Have a fun "legal" night *hubba hubba*
