I'm thinking of making some christmas decorations like this to use as present toppers to give a little DW 'beachy' feel to our gifts this year - especially since most family is getting large framed pics of their fave photos.

My BM's all ordered their BariJay dresses online. They ended up getting them from the same website b/c I found great deals and free shipping, but they all ordered at different times. I think you should just find an online store with the best prices and order that way - or check at other local shops for better prices. If you can find the dresses online at a better price than the $200 you were quoted, print out the online price and ask her to match it. That way, you'll have piece of mind if she's gotten the "dye lot" conspiracy into your head ... and hopefully get some discounted pricing in the meantime.
