I gathered resort books from several TA's and scoured them - narrowing down resorts that looked good to me on paper and in the $$ and star-rating that we wanted. Then, the internet searching began, which helped me narrow it down further. You may have to contact resorts for wedding set-up pics and packages ... but it's worth the effort to find exactly what you want for your dream DW!!!

We did a Hand Ceremony as part of the actual ceremony, though, which was read by my uncle. Didn't want too much during the ceremony, so that's why we saved the sand ceremony for the reception. We think it was perfect just before the cake cutting. Worked for us (and we didn't do a reading with it - just poured the sand while people were gathering for the cake cutting).

Erica - I am just curious - do you know what his feelings are on this whole situation now? Is he remorseful and sees the errors of his ways - or his he mad and blaming him being in jail on you? I know you said there is a court order for no contact - but I just figured somehow you probably had gotten some feedback. What about his family? How are they responding/reacting? Can he not make bail and go into a rehab center until his court date? Also, what are the sets of charges against him? I don't recall seeing that but maybe I missed it. As I said earlier -- You are doing the right thing, and I'm glad to see that you are staying strong.

The cost of the AI will only include their room/meals/alcohol. Anything additional (wedding/reception/etc) will depend on what package or a la carte items you choose. AI's vary greatly in price from resort to resort - so it is virtually impossible to nail down an average. If I were you I would figure out your budget and then search AI's to find ones that fit.

We actually did our sand ceremony at the reception. It was a beach reception, so it was fitting and we did it just before we cut the cake.

Erica - I have been MIA lately, so I am sorry to just be catching up on your thread. What a sad situation to be in - but I must say that your children are lucky to have such an amazing woman in their lives to stand up for their rights and their safety. It sounds to me like Larry will have to understand why you have had your hand forced to make these decisions, and will hopefully understand that his actions are the sole cause of this. It's going to be a tough road ahead - no doubt - but I can tell that you will do what is right for your children - and that your heart is obviosuly still in a good place with Larry, despite the fact that his demons have taken him down the wrong path. Hopefully this will be an eye-opener to send him into rehab on his own and get clean for the sake of his family. You are right about the strong support system that BDW makes possible for us - and we are here for you!

We are still TTC. April will be our 1-year anniversary. Have been actively TTC since this past September. Hoping and praying we get pregnant soon!!!

I am on my first month of Clomid, and just started my 2WW ... so we will see if it takes or not. I sure hope so! I haven't checked in on this thread in a while so I have a lot of catching up to do!

I tried TCOYF as well, but definitely prefer FF - but it could be b/c I started with FF. My update is that I start Clomid next cycle. I had my HSG earlier this month and my tubes are all clear. I actually am 7DPO right now and have some pretty crazy cramps (almost so bad I am concerned it could be another kidney stone attack) - of course I am hoping (but not optimistic) that it's implantation cramps. Ah, who knows. I have no real PG symptoms ... but I certainly hopeful it's NOT kidney stones again. I haven't really been temping this month ... and am not obssessing either b/c DH was out of town so much that we only had 1 worthwhile BD session. Fingers crossed that our first Clomid cycle is a success next month! I hope everyone else is doing well!

I vowed not to buy my dress at DB based on so many bad reviews - but it's where I found THE dress and at the right price. And, I didn't have any issues, was very pleased with the alterations (both cost and outcome) and basically just got lucky, I guess. I would suggest insisting on speaking with a manager and if that doesn't suffice - then ask for a district manager. Sosorry about your experience.

Jessica - The gazebo at PPC is perfect. We did not have any issues with people intruding. It is up on a slight hill overlooking the beach - so there were some people on the beach watching from a distance - but nothing at all intrusive. I can't recommend PPC enough - it was absolutely AMAZING!

We printed directly onto the envelopes using the Scriptina font. They looked fantastic! And used a special-made return address label with our wedding logo on it. Same Scriptina font for our RSVP's.

I hadn't done it in a few days (well, more like a week) and thought I was going to die again when I started it. You definitely need to stick with it. I also have to switch it up with other workout DVD's b/c I get bored to easily. Can anyone really do true push-ups for that full lenth of time on Level 1? I always have to go to the modified position after about 10 ... and still have to stop before the time is up.

I got married at a nearby resort (Paradisus Punta Cana) and honeymooned at Paradisus Palma Real. We drove by EdenH several times on our way to a local bar and it looks AMAZING!!!
