I found them at a store here in SC for $119 plus a 10% discount, but all the other shops I got quotes from said $146 ... so still within budget for you (and me)!! I stole these dresses after seeing pics from another wedding where the BM's wore these. Everyone looked beautiful and she said they all loved how comfortable they are.

We actually registered at several different places, although it's not being openly discussed. There is a link to our registry on our wedding website ... but the first thing it says is "We would much prefer your 'presence' over any 'presents." But again, we know some people will buy gifts regardless, so since we have both been on our own for years ... our first two registry picks are "Honeymoon Registries" as well as Home Depot. We are having 2 AHR ... because we have much family who will not be able to attend. We are doing one AHR where we live (he owns a bar/restaurant so we'll just do something casual there) and one AHR at my Mom and Dad's beach house. Family has already been on me about registries, so I didn't really have a choice ... even though we really don't need anything.

Absolutely amazing. I LOVE it!!! What was your estimate cost (not time -- which I can see it must have taken forever). Also, are you requesting an RSVP for these? I want to send mine out early (April 2008 wedding) but not sure about asking for an RSVP so early ...

Yours are coming along great. Wish I had thought about writing our names in the sand. What a fabulous idea!! I made our STD's on Publisher using a photo of us and an ocean pic I found online. I'm dealing with the very same dilemma. I've only spoken to my fiance, matron of honor and my mother about it. Mom says its sounds like we'll be paying a lot of money for just an expensive party if we get married beforehand. BUT, most insurance companies only give you 30 days from the date of your marriage to get added on to your spouses insurance without having to worry about pre-existing conditions, etc. So, with the length of time it takes to get the paperwork back from the DR, it only seems logical to take care of it ahead of time to me. Although I think it will be weird, since I won't wear my wedding dress for the justice of the peace. But, maybe I'll get emotional and cry then ... and won't have to worry about that when I have my dress on in the DR!
