I'm up all night doing laundry and packing for my Boston trip, so I doubt I'll even go to sleep before I have to be at the airport ... so I'm downloading those now and will listen on the plane! YEA!!!
  3. There is www.hispaniolafoto.com, located in the Punta Cana area ... but they look pretty, well ... not so good. I have some receommendations on DR photogs who I spoke with and were not available formy date. prices are good depending on your budget. I would contact Jill Higgins Photographer Destination Wedding Photography Savannah Charleston Tallahassee Valdosta (she did my BD photos and was going to do the wedding but got booked before I got her my deposit). The one who is doing mine is Amy Martin Photography. They both have comparable rates for the DR, with two photogs and great package options.
  4. Wow ... I missed all the clown talk. Better get busy catching up I guess!

My travel agent was very helpful on finding me prices for the resorts for myself and my guests. The biggest reason I chose them is because they offer the payment plan. That way my guests didn't have to come up with the lump sum all at once. I didn't have to pay anything else after the initial $50. And I didn't have to pay any extra for the wedding coordinator. Her name is Kelly Hunt, and she is also helpful and quick with returning e-mails. Hopefully that helps a little. If you have any other questions let me know. Christie I'm not using dw.com ... but I do know that the WC at PPR is fabulous. Mine at PPC is extraordinary as well. I am using a TA through AAA Vacations and it's just an initial deposit and then you can make payments as you wish until 60 days prior, when it (you and guests) have to be paid in full. I don't have to put any money/deposit down for the wedding itself, just for the rooms. PS -- Congrats Christie!!! Can't wait to hear about PPR, since that's where we're honeymooning!!!
  6. Let me know how I can help. We're getting married in the DR in April 2008. Did a lot of research before choosing our resort (Paradisus Punta Cana for wedding/ Paradisus Palma Real for honeymoon) ... so I am happy to offer any advice or input that I can. I've been in the planning stages since June 2006, so I have gathered plenty of info. Happy to help!!! And ... to the forum!!!
  7. Oh yeah! YOU ROCK TammyB (my name to ... TamiB :-)). Love ya!

We're doing the travel mugs for DW and probably koozies for the AHR ... but if we have enough RSVP's by the time I have to order, and if it's in the budget, then I'll get travel mugs AND koozies for everyone.
  9. Yep, we will have several days with them. We arrive on a Wednesday and leave on a Monday for our other resort ... so we are in essence, weddingmooning for the first week and honeymooning for the second week. We'll have a good 5 nights with guests at the wedding resort!
  10. We're staying in the DR, but moving to another resort after the wedding for a week to ourselves, since we have some guests are extending their trip as a personal vacation!
  11. Very cute! I might use that for other things. It matches my colors as well!!!
  12. Bummer .,.,. well I'll keep checking back here for the answer!

But, after reading your story, apparently (and unfortunately) there are people that are capable of something like that. It makes me sick! On a brighter note...you WB sounds gorgeous!!! I still pray that somehow it turns up. Who knows? Crazier things have happened. And I still ask about it when I go the tanning bed ... (and scrutinize every girl who works there ... wondering if she's the one...)

No kidding! It blows my mind how people can do that ... especially when the police even came to question them (thank goodness for connections) and I put up a Cash Reward flyer ... but there's nothing that can be done now. Too much time has passed. Funny, though, I never, ever, ever took it off but was visiting my FMIL and she works at a jewelers and when they cleaned it they said how I needed to take it off more often because it wasn't staying clean/shiny. So, Tom said, "if that's what they told you, then do it" ... so I took it off to put my lotion on -- and the very first time -- left it. Went right back in and my lotion was there -- but somehow they managed to not find my ring (right). The manager and I scoured the place, but to no avail. I hope whoever has it is enjoying it as much as I am missing it... Okay, enough. I've done so good 'letting it go.' Guess I just needed another vent... (I know, wrong area of the forum for that).
  16. Glad you started this thread! I hadn't even checked out the calendar ... but now that I have I've accidentally added my b-day twice (oh well, it's already passed anyway)...

I don't think couples being split up will be a problem since everyone will have gotten to know each other at one of three welcome cocktail receptions and just mingling throughout the days ... so I'm sticking with no formal seating arrangements. Even for the bridal party. And, it's still up in the air if our reception will be at the resort or on a yacht. The yacht will be a lobster/mixed grill buffet so I think people would be eating at different times/intervals anyway.

  19. Glad to see this thread come back to life! I love the Redken line and ESPECIALLY the anti-snap. Trying to get my hair to grow, grow, grow. I've got til April. I take care of it, use good products and get the ends trimmed (my HD is also a Redken specialist ... love her) ... but I need new tips/tricks for hair growth/thickening.

That's excatly how I feel ... and why I told Tom that I didn't want a replacement for mine. I am wearing my 'stand-in' ring until the wedding ... and then just wear my wedding band. We decided he can get me an anniversary ring down the road ... but even if he had the exact e-ring made for me again ... it's not the same thing. We've already picked out the WB adn it's a platinum 6-diamond Hearts on Fire ring, so it will suffice as both e-ring and WB.

  22. Is everyone doing beach towels? I was planning to forego that since they are heavy to pack. PLus, the resort has unlimited towels at the beach/pool.
  23. The pillar candles is a great idea. Simple, romatic and classy. I guess I will have to wait and see just how much crap I am going to be packing before I can decide on bringing all of that for the tables as well. lol.

Ok, so that was already checked, so maybe I will need to do it manually. It says they are being imported with the AAC Encoder. Is that what I should use or should I use the MP3 Encoder? I don't know the differences. :-) Quote: Originally Posted by JPMO I find that each song is different as far as transferring song titles, artists, and genre are concerned. I have no idea what was in it, but I picked it up and gave it back to them. I would NEVER keep something that wasn't mine. First of all - it's not mine. Second - I'm too afraid I would get bad luck for the rest of my life. My secret wish for the person that stole your ring is that they get nothing but bad luck forever. I agree. I've found cell phones and credit cards before ... and always returned them to the bank or cell phone store ... knowing the person would surely want them back. I firmly believe that "what goes around comes around" and don't want to be the one who is receiving the bad luck (which makes me wonder why I lost my ring in the first place ... but I can't dwell)...
