Has anyone bought anything on your registry yet? If not, I don't think it would be a problem to switch it. Just my sister, who got us the Horseback Rides on the Beach as a birthday gift...

Here is info from their website: MyRegistry.com offers its services free of charge. There are no fees for members or their guests. Yes, at MyRegistry.com you have the option to set up a special Cash Gift Service for your registry. This will allow your friends and family to send you cash gifts in any denomination easily and effortlessly by using a credit card, a bank wire or a PayPal account. MyRegistry.com does not charge any fees for this service. However, your special cash gift account is operated by PayPal in conjunction with MyRegistry.com, and PayPal's low transaction fees apply when a cash gift is sent to you. The maximum transaction fee for a US member is 2.9% + 30cents per transaction (i.e. $3.20 for a $100 contribution to your cash gift account). For international members please refer to PayPal's Terms and Conditions. Hhhmmm... That does sound better. I'll look into that ... but hate to change what I've got posted (but maybve not many people have checked it out yet).
  7. Sorry, Ann! Ignore my PM. I saw the pics in the Kodak Gallery!

My dress is ivory with champagne trim, so I think it might be hard to purcahse sight unseen to see how it matches. But I LOVE it. The one I found at David's was $179 ... I still hate to spend that much but it did match perfect with my dress.
  9. I'm not thinking that I need an aisle runner ... but maybe I do (I hadn't really even let it cross my mind until now). This is what our wedding set-up will look like (we don't want a beachfront wedding because of the wind). What do you think ladies?

  12. Oh, I did just walk through the checkout process, and there is a $1.50 "Handling Fee" for credit card processing ... but looks like that's the only extra fee gift givers would be charged as long as you have the fee deducted from your gifts rather than added to their cost.

It's my favorite registry, because truthfully, we could use money towards our trip more than tangible goods ... but this makes people feel like they aren't just giving us money, you know? You can look at mine, and what I have registered for on our wedding website. . Just go to the "Gift Registry" page and it will be the first one listed. Click on that link and it should take you right to our Registry page for honeymoonwishes (I think it should take you there without having to do a last name search...).

I like honeymoonwishes.com, for what our needs are. I was able to designate different items (and break down the price), as well as add on custom items. So, for instance, I have "Upgrade us to First Class" and have it broken down into like 20 increments of $40 each. I've aeady had one person purchase from there. So, we've got horseback riding ready to go when we get there. We also have "Casino Chips", "Romantic Dinner for Two Under the Stars", "Romantic Couples Massage", "27 Waterfalls Excursion" ... etc etc. Bottom line, though, is we will just get a deposit of the funds from things that were bought. We can use it for whatever, but it makes it more personal for the gift-giver and we plan on using that money for whatever people purchased, since I only used that registry for things we would want/do anyway. Does that make sense? As far as fees: You can set it up 2 ways ... the gift-giver can be charged an extra 7% at the time of purchase ... or the 7% fee can be taken out of the funds deposited to us. We chose to have them deducted from our deposit, so as not to further inconvenience the buyer.
  16. Thanks! Hadn't thought about this before now!! I doubt that I'll be giving hankies ... but this will be perfect to print inside peized cards that I will hand out before the ceremony to my Mom, Dad and others...
  17. Don't forget though, that the eBay link is $35 for 6 of them, and you can mix and match according to the description ... so it's not as bad. But still over $5 each. Thank goodness for HEIDI!!! THose are great girl! You ROCK!!!

  19. I looked into these but it seemed like a lot more work than I had time for to enter everything in to one of those single registries. I have a Registry page listed on our wedding website that lists the places we've registered ...including Honeymoon Wishes - Honeymoon Registry where your wedding gift is a Romantic Honeymoon. We've already gotten one gift from that registry site. Since we're doing a DW, the only place I'm listing the registry info is on our website, becasue I don't want peoplto think we're hinting for gifts. We really don't need them ... but the honeymoon registry is the one we hope people use if they do decide to get us gifts...
  20. Tom is part-owner of an oyster bar here with a huge rooftop deck, so our SC AHR will be there ... very casual, with open bar and low-country boil. Our MD AHR will either be at someone's house or we'll rent a military base hall since they are so cheap ... and we can still bring in our own stuff. So both should be relatively low-cost regardless of our guest list.

It might take me a bit to figure out how to invite, and then approve, etc, but I think after tonight we should get the hang of it! And if someone is familiar with Wedding Bee (I'm not at all), give me some feedback as to how our blog should be formatted, i.e. if you want to enter a new workout, should you just post, or what is the Page feature, etc.? Ok, that's all I know so far, I'll keep yall updated as I figure it out! Just sent you my info! Thanks!
  22. I am in the process of downloading our music and yes, we will be using an iPod. I'm going to buy a small speaker system for use during the ceremony ... and we will use the resorts speaker system during the reception. I am going to havey 22 year old cousin run the ceremony music and decide on who to ask for the reception music once we have a complete guest list. I'm also going to back-up all our playlists on CD and likely bring my laptop so the playlists can be played from the laptop instead of fishing through smaller screen on the iPod.

  24. Yeah for the champagne starfish and beautiful dragonflies!!! I love it all!!
