Well, I think you are BEAUTIFUL ... and I wish I felt more comfortable going sans makeup. But I think you may want to throw out that mascara. lol.

  3. I was wondering that same thing when I saw it! Too funny! Wonder if Tom will let me lead him around on a leash this Halloween? (or any other time for that matter) hehe.

I used to go to the gym 3-5x / week ... but it was emptied out and shut down one day ... and so I just never found another to go to in the past few months. But ... I've lost almost 15 pounds ... so I need to get back to it before the weight finds me again. aarrgghh!!!
  5. Anyone used any that would actually curb your appetite and give you an energy boost without crazy side effects? I loved the prescription diet pill I was on since it didn't make my heart race and I could still sleep at night. So I'm looking for something not as strong as a prescription that helps along the way. I have some guy friends who take HydroxyCut, and like it, but they have to take so many pills a day, and I don't want to have to keep remembering to take pills all day long either. Also, I'm just leery of buying something off the shelf since I'm afraid none of them actually work. Suggestions?

  7. Here is the Thursday Wine & Cheese Beach Party (it's actually a late afternoon party). And this is the Wednesday night BBQ Beach party.

I think they do it at one of the restaurants overlooking the beach, so I hope it turns out nice! How did you find out that the Beach BBQ and Wine Party are on Wednesday and Thursdays? Is there a place to view a schedule of all events? I'm so excited! I feel like I am finally getting somewhere with my planning...and I am so glad that we picked the Paradisus. Someone on another forum sent me pics of the BBQ and Wine beach parties and others say they have them weekly on those nights. I'm going to double check with Laikin though just to be sure... If I can find the pics I'll post for you.
  9. All this is great to know! I'm going to check with US Airways and see what we can do! I contacted the charter airlines -- Spirit and USA3000 -- but their group rates were WAY higher than the regular rates ... and they offered no leeway. Minium 10 people on exact same flight. So, hopefully the larger carriers will give us better options to Punta Cana!

Great! At least I know I can shop around and maybe find one in a store then instead of online.
  12. Loving these TONS of pictures!!! Wow ... I love the colors! BM dresses are great and the parasola -- PERFECT!!! Your dress is beautiful and you look stunning!!! The colors are so vibrant and exciting!

I was so glad they were able to do an evening time! The WC has me down for that date, but hasnt' told me anything yet about a deposit, etc. We are going with one of the package deals with a few extras, since we are having between 20-30 guests. What are some ideas for a 'rehearsal dinner'? I know there probably won't be a formal rehearsal, so is it worth it to have the dinner? If so, is there usually an extra charge? I can't wait to start making plans now that we have the place/date, and thanks SO MUCH for everyone's input and advice! -Lindsay I haven't had to put down any deposits for the actual wedding, etc. As far as a rehearsal dinner ... as long as it's not "private" .. meabing no one else is allowed in the restaurant ... Liakin says there is no charge for the dinner. You can just get a reservation for all of your guests at one of the restaurants and there is no charge. So, I say, why not? We are having close to 100 people, so our rehearsal dinner will only be bridal party and immediate family, and then meet everyone for cocktails later. We are also doing "Welcome Coktail Receptions" each night, since people are coming in on different days ... but we're just meeting at the Lobby Bar ... except for Wed-Thurs nights when they have a Beach BBQ and a Beach Wine Party -- those nights we'll meet at those functions. woo-hoo!!! For the ceremony we are doing the vow renewal package and either our reception on La Barcaza (boat) or the a la carte reception options via the resort. Are you having your wedding on the beach? Did I send you pics of the ceremony locations? This is where we are having ours.
  14. I've been looking at the Celtic / Irish bands for Tom ... but have only looked online. So delivery is pretty quick on those. Has anyone seen those type of rings in actual stores?

No, I took it last week ... but am just sobering up enough to remember to post it.
  17. WOW! Ladies, I can't imagine leaving the house without make-up on! There are entirely too many natural beauties on this forum! Not me!!! Maybe it's too many years of working in TV news, but while I don't wear a LOT of make-up, especially once I get that summertime tan, I scare myself if I don't have any make-up on. aarrgghh!!
  18. Okay, this is a blurry pic (and small...) b/c I took it on my cell phone as a video (too much wine) instead of as a picture ... but hopefully you get the idea. They were beautiful!
  19. I'm trying to talk myself in to signing up at the Y after work tonight (planned on it the other night, but didn't happen). Ugh...

  21. I agree that a light color flower might be best. Perhaps white or cream with greenery accents. I like the invitations. What about a fuschia or coral accent color?
  22. I told my Mom to wear whatever she wants. She's going to try to complement the bridal party, but they are all wearing champagne and khaki/tan colors, so she is pretty free to wear whatever she wants. She will likely go with a pantsuit that has a breezy, light jacket.
  23. OKay, so I had to delete all my subscriptions that kept forming with every post AND turn off the notifications under that Edit options button ... but I think finally I am notification free! Yippee!!! Thansk again Ann!!!
