  1. I LOVE them all!!! Especialy the VS one, I have ordered that as well! However, I would NOT use the nipples stickies. You'll be able to see those in the pics .... and why wouldn't you want a little nipple action in your BD pics? I have some nip action in the BD pics w/ one of my outfits and it looks sexy to me. hubba hubba
  2. Very cute! Are you going to add a picture of the two of you on the invite? Mine was similar, in a sense, but I did postcards instead of magnets.

I thought it was super genius when I was little but all you do is arrange them in the shape of a 6 or whatever. Too fun!! lol ... i know ... i have so many different ideas, i don't know which ones I'll be able to pull off and which I'll have to letfall by the wayside. That IS a great b-day idea, cupcakes shaped into the age! I love baking, so I might just do this for Tom's "Welcome Home Party" with some American flags or yellow ribbons as cupcake topper decorations .... or maybe just be simple and use red, white and blue icing. Boring though -- these BEACH THEMES are way cooler than what I can do for his party. lol.

Has anyone been to this report or got married there? id love to hear your story or any advise re photograph and video packages/flowers and so on! xxx Hey there! Congrats! You do NOT have to be a resident for any certain number of days in DR. We are arriving WEd and marrying Saturday (BTW -- you're leaving for DR on my bday!!). I've spoken to a TON of brides who have been married there ... and it sounds beautiful. I've even heard good things about the resort photograph, adn seen lots of his pictures. Of course not as creative and time-intensive as the photogs we bring from here at home, but a good option nonetheless. Check out the forums on Debbie's Dominican Republic Travel Pages - 1,000's of Resort Reviews, Tour, Scuba and Wedding Information because there is a multi-page thread othat discusses Melia Caribe in detail, with TONS of pictures and some great advice for you!
  7. ok ... next weekend is cupcake weekend! I'm going to make a bunch for Tom to try when he gets home!

  9. great! thanks for posting! It's good to now be able to compare prices and quality of the silk flowers!!
  10. We have Henckels, but Calphalon is good too. I love to cook and love knives that work well in the kitchen. I've tried several brands. Anything that comes with a self-sharpener usually will do the trick okay too. You just need to make sure you can keep them sharp cos dull knives are useless, of course.

For me, I just don't want gramps sitting in the corner mumbling about the crap young people listen to, ya know? I want him to bust a hip. Figuratively. I agree! We are going to play a lot of shag music because a majority of guests will be older and that's always great dance music. Plus, our friends will dance to anything danceable ... whereas the older crowd won't dance unless they know the songs, you know?
  13. I think that dress is beautiful. I would wear it all day long ... but that's just me -- I want to feel special in my special dress all day. Tom is wearing his military dress blues, so I'm hoping he will change into khakis for the reception because he will sweat like a pig in that heavy material ... but it's up to him. If your FI wants to change, I say let him even if you don't. My dress has crinoline under and I'm going to get the full skirt/slip also, so I'll have a lot of stuff going on under my dress. :-) Yours is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

Great idea for those who don't like public speaking or -- more importantly -- writing their own stuff!

Perhaps part of the OOT bags could be a blanket/towel for the ceremony ... or this white sheet idea is fabulous ... and looks so classy in these pics!
  16. I'm including AHR info with our invitations. I don't want to spend even more money on stamps and invites. An insert page wil have detailed info with AHR directions and lodging. RSVP cards will have a spot for each event (DW, SC AHR & MD AHR). Do you think it's okay to ask for RSVP's for the AHR's that early (mailing out invites in October and asking for late November RSVP--since resort wants final payments from TA 60 days prior, which would be February).

Never thought of it before, but I definitely might try to do that -- will also be a great anniversary gift!

We have several here in Greenville every few months ... but I still have yet to make it to one. Hopefully I will soon, although I really don't need to do anything local, aside from my DIY projects. But, a CLT expo is a good reason for a roadtrip!!!
  19. I've booked my photog and we have a day-after photo session, which we'll use for our TTD session. I will probably buy another dress (Target or JC Penney onlibe bridal shop --like $99). I'd use mine, but Mom is being "Momzilla" about that ... so it's just easier to buy another. :-)
  20. Went yesterday (woo-hoo) and can barely move today b/c I'm so sore. Planned on getting another trainer ... but at the Y, the Wellness prgram provides a complete assessment, including a workout plan, which I got started on yesterday. I can set an appointment for a reassessment at any time ... and think I will do it every 2 weeks to ensure I'm working to the right potential. Plus, they will help me switch it up ... by moving from the circuit machines to more free weights, etc. So it sounds like they will serve as a 'trainer' of sorts, for free. I'm pumped about that. Luckily, I don't need anyone to stand over me to workout ... but I will stay more motivated anf coused if I am able to constantly change the gym routine.

I planned on going back today, but the Y is closed for some reason. I figured getting back there again today would help ease the soreness. So, I'll be going tomorrow instead. OMG ... I can't believe how not working out since March can make me ssoo sore and out of shape again. Onward, though!!! I will be in tip-top shape come April 2008!!! Help keep me on target, ladies!!!
  22. Here are some of the reception venue options as well.
  23. We're getting married at PPC April 19, 2008. Here are a few pics that the WC has sent me (mainly ceremony locales). I have a ton of info if there is anything specific that you need! Laikin (the WC) is a big help!

Nothing too distracting. I have Michael Buble, and Sunday Morning by Maroon5 (acoustic version), things like that. But if I hear a song and I like it, I add it to my playlists that I've started on iTunes. You and I still have tons of time to make a totally kick-butt playlist! I also listen to the music channel from our cable TV provider, since it provides the name of the song and artist. Right now, I'm listening to the Reggae station to find some fun, upbeat songs to play during the cocktail hour. I just thought of this the other day and it's been a great help...
