  2. Gosh that resort is ssoo beautiful! So glad we are honeymooning there! I hope PPC lets us have a bonfire on the beach at the reception!!! Do you have any ceremony/reception pics you can share?

  4. Yeah, I hadn't looked through the site very well. Lots of cool stuff! Thanks!!!
  5. Yikes, as I said, I do like them ... but what a price tag!!!! $300!!!
  6. I think they are totally fine as long as you wear your hair down, or half down. If you want beachy, that's perfect. I like the sand dollar and the starfish (I'm starfish crazy!). You want your personality to shine through on your wedding day and if you are not a "pearl stud" girl, then don't wear pearl studs, right? :-) These earrings would also be cute for cocktail events and rehearsal dinner leading up to the wedding ... as well as the honeymoon! :-) I say go for it!!!

Do you have any pics of your girls in them?? Thanks I don't have pics of my girls in them, but this is a pic from a wedding someone sent me and it's the girls wearing the dress in coral. That's when I fell in love with it and all my BM's like it too. They are just starting to order theirs, but these dresses seem like they fit like a dream and this bride says all her BM's love it and are happy to wear it again for cocktail parties, etc ... that it doesn't feel like a BM dress to them.

Anyway, I didn't really care for the foundation. It covered okay but it was kind of thick. Not cakey when you have it on, but too thick to rub on (if you know what I mean) It was annoying! However, the lipstick I loved and reorder it all the time and the same w/ the eyebrow pencil. I have been using the blush and the eyeshadow too and I am out of both so I am contemplating reording it all or tyring something new. i am one who has different brands for all my make-up. I use mac compact only ( I stopped using foundation all togther). i would say it's a worth a try to help her out and try it out. If you don't like it you don't have to buy more. Or you can keep buying something small like lipstick if you find one you like so that you support her... Thanks for the input. I definitely won't be getting any foundation. I'm too loyal to MAC and Bare Escentuals for that -- my skin loves those product lines for foundation. I will likely get some colors (eyes, lips, cheeks??) -- maybe even a fragrance. I'm wondering too about the skincare line. I use alot of AVON and like it ... and it seems more affordable than the MK ... but if anyone uses and relies on MK skincare let me know, maybe then I'll give that a whirl.

It's so similiar to my BM dresses, but almost half the price! I wish it came in the color I need... Here are mine ... we're getting beige to match the champagne trim in the dress. Dress Style 249# It comes in pale pink as well (Chanel and Tulip are the colors)
  10. A friend of mine just became a Consultant for Mary Kay and is very excited about it ... hence, she is a bit pushy about buying/trying the products. Ugh! As if I need another thing to buy. BUT, I want to be supportive because I am a Wine Consultant and she buys wine from me. I use MAC and my Mom sells Avon, so I use some of her products as well ... but looking for some input about Mary Kay. Anyone use any of this product line and can make any recommendations? I've used it before (years ago) but I know it's changed a lot recently and is supposed to be more trency and not targeted toward Grandma's so much anymore (my friend is trying to target the younger generation -- 16-25, her daughter's age group). Wondering if I'm going to buy from her (which I feel obligated to do, at least once) should I try some of the skincare products or just get a few colors or eyeshadow, lips, etc... Anyone?

Seriously my skin looked flawless! Also they have a really neat line of "Paints". They are like cream moisturizers that dry into a powder. It did not crease and looked great for the whole day. Ooooo.... never heard of that Strobe Cream but it sounds awesome! I definitely want to try it!!! My favorite Paint is the "Untitled" because it doesn't really change the color of your eyeshadows, just helps it stay put aall ddaayy lloonngg...
  12. I got a confirmation that mine has shipped. I justb hope when it arrives it doesn't all melt before I get home from the heat. aarrgghh!!!! Our mail usually arrives about 3:30-4 ... but I don't get home from work 'til 5:30 at the earliest ... so my lipstick might be soup...

If someone doesn't get it for us, we'll just do it on our own. :-) We're both a sucker for a massage. mmmmm... The resort sounds dreamy!
  14. Yeah, our airfare to DR looks so affordable, until you see the fees and taxes. It adds about $150 to each ticket. Ugh!!!
  15. Looks like a fun night! The cake is beautiful!!!

  17. I LOVE the Maggie Sottero dress! The zipper is certainly an easy fix! I'd like to see pics of the invites too, once you are able to post them.
  18. I think that's perfect. WE arrive at PPC on a Wednesday, with guests trickling in Wed-Fri. Wedding is Saturday. We leave Monday for Paradisus Palma Real, where we will honeymoon for a week. We also have family & friends staying at PPC longer and don't want to run into them on our honeymoon.
  19. We are definitely doing the Hand Ceremony. Anyone do that as well as the Sand Ceremony (I'm trying to read through this whole thread ... so perhaps I missed a response to this question already). I'm thinking the Sand Ceremony first and the Hand Ceremony just before the rings are exchanged
