  1. hhmm... yeah, did you just not like them (quality or something)? I was planning to order from here, so let me know...
  2. Yikes! What an unbelievable wedding locale! It is absolutely breathtaking -- not to mention hot topics to shoot and a gorgeous wedding! Ole!

  4. Try this site ... silk gerber daisies - silk gerbera daisies
  5. Yowza! I'm in love with it already! Maybe a surprise trip for Tom in a couple of years once I save up some money after this wedding! lol.

My BM called me tonight and said she could not do it. She just can't come up with the money. I was not surprised. She seemed really upset and really sad that she can't come and is going to miss my wedding, and I believe she is being sincere. So, I told her not to worry, I will come running home with a video and pictures for her to watch. So, issue number 2 was do I ask someone else to stand in her place. Well, I decided to ask the other girl that I mentioned before. She said she is honored. She made a few jokes about it, but was totally kidding. So, in a sense my BM issues are resolved. Now, we can use the money towards the GM. I'm just catching up on this thread. Sorry I've missed so much. My heart's been aching through this whole read. I can completely empathize with you! I'm glad things appear to have worked out and hopefully you and your 1st BM can get past this. I think it SUCKS! YOu may find out this other friend (your now BM) than you realized before. Sometimes BFF's don't always stay that way and what's important to each of us is different. Anyway, I'm rambling ... but know that people at and in your wedding as well as people who couldn't make it all love you and wish you happiness!
  8. That sounds wonderful. I wonder if it's similar to Belize with the rainforest and eco-friendliness? Your Snapfish pics capture a lot of beauty, that's for sure! WOW! I'd like to go!!!!
  9. I also had in my mind what type and style of dress I wanted. But NONE of those dresses looked good on me or were even remotely flattering to my body type. I was ssoo bummed out. However, I was with my Mom and she kept giving me these styles that are NOTHING like what I envisioned wearing. But that is what I got. A gorgeous dress that I NEVER would have tried on or picked out on my own ... but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it ... AND it was REALLY marked down!

  11. Have you contacted the company to let them know the format your design i in? They might be able to work with you. There are a TON of different companies. I have numerous bookmarked and will just go with the best price when I'm ready to order. Make sure you take shipping costs into consideration when you choose a company!
  12. Tara, I do think that since you wedding date is stil a good ways off, that you will likely not see a huge influx of hits on the site for a while. As time grows nearer, more people will check it out. I would use email updates to say "Hey! New info on the website! Check it out!" Every time I send out an email update, the hits spike tremendously for the next few days. And people start realizing that the website is where the information will be. When people call me, I tell them its easier to check the website and then email me if they still have a question. It seems to work, unless they don't have email/internet (I've found that's the case with some older relatives). I can send you the email update that I sent out last week if you want to take a look! Just PM me your email address.
  13. Good Luck! That seems awfully ballsy to me to have someone (anyone!) ASK to be in your wedding. I'd tell her to shove off (LOL).
  14. Now, I'm on a mission for starfish jeweled hairpins to match my dress (ivory/champagne). I LOVE this one, but can't find it for sale anywhere. A few hours before the ceremony I laid out on a hammock up in the hills overlooking the emerald water and I wrote my vows. It was incredibly relaxing. When I made my way down to walk out, I ran into the gm's who were waiting for us and my "song" started to play. That's when it hit me - this is it! I felt freakin fabulous, no nerves, no jitters, just a perfect peace in knowing this is so natural and so right. Sounds corny but it was true, the only thing I felt besides peace was excitement...I couldn't wait to see the love of my universe waiting for me at the edge of the ocean. It was magical, a strange calm that I didn't expect to feel because I thought all brides freak out at the last minute . . . I think I watch too many wedding shows..lol We hadn't seen each other in like 11 hours so I was dying to see him. When I finally did, and got to the end of the aisle, we kissed each other which felt normal to us, but someone later said we weren't supposed to kiss until the end....hahaha....nobody could have stopped us ) Oh that is beautiful. I am teary-eyed now. I hope I have that peace, but I know I will be anxious ... not nervous, but anxious with anticipation -- and giddy!
  16. awesome! Wish I'd paid more attention to the DIY stuff before sending my STD's. I love the jewels! Great job!!!
  17. Stole this pic from Jill Higgin's photo blog ... but it's a gorgeous starfish hairpin a bride in the Grenadines wore in her hair. (I hope Jill can find out where she got it!!!). It's such a perfect complement to the BDW Traveling Starfish. I'm thinking that might go better with my dress than a flower ...
  18. I've had great success with ours. It's only $29.95 for a year ... and we've had HUNDREDS of hits to the site. Monthly, I send out an email update with new info and direct guests to the website for detailed information. I also keep the Welcome page updated with a list of when new info is posted and what section it is in. I've even gotten RSVP's on the site. Except for not being able to get the music to work -- I LOVE it -- and people are using it ... but our guest list is also 165 people, so that might be why we are getting more hits. I think we have a few loyal people who check it regularly ... and then we see a huge spike in the days following an email update.
  19. I'm not bringing them. It's an unnecessary expense in my opinion. Who ever uses them again anyway?
  20. Yea! Welcome and happy planning! You've come to the right place!!!!
  21. Doing mine gender-neutral as well. Pepto, Immodium, aspirin, sunblock, dryer sheets (for mosquito bites), face wipes, hand sanitizer, koozies and insulated travel mugs w/ our logo (the most expensive item!!), Spanish phrase list, Welcome letter, gum ... that's probably about it. We're having a pretty good sized guest list and trying to keep costs down as much as possible.

  24. I'm definitely interested in responses to this thread! I know we'll be having a few cocktails ... although my Mom will be having a fit about it. I just have told Tom he better not be downing shots beforehand. We were drunk when we got engaged, I don't want to be drunk at the wedding. hehe
