  1. I was intimidated at first b/c I felt like everyone knew everyone else and had already formed bonds that I might not make. And, at first, when I posted a few questions, I did get some responses that said things to the effect of "please do a search before posting these questions b/c the answers are already on here." I know they weren't meant to be mean, instead were meant as a suggestion ... but didn't make me feel welcome necessarily -- at first. Maybe we need to offer these pointers when we welcome them in the Newbie thread?
  2. Ah, the countdown is on! The fittings must be so exciting! I can't wait for mine ... but I've got plenty of time still...
  3. I picked #1, but I also like #2. I do agree though that you've gotta try them on. I had my own favorite style in mind, but NOTHING in that style looked good on me ... so the dress that I bought is totally different than I envisioned, but looks fabulous on me. So, be sure to at least try on a few different styles to find thene that fits your body type best.
  4. Just a thought -- it could be a pain to try to get a lot of matchboxes through customs...
  5. My aunt and uncle are celebrating their 40th anniversary and my MOH is celebrating their 10 year anniversary during our DW week. We are going to play their wedding songs during the reception and have a special toast for them ... but I'd like to do something special as well.

WELCOME and happy planning! Let us know how we can help!!!
  7. I LOVE this dress. it is "Simple Elegance" ... which to me IS glamorous! You are going to be HOT in thaat dress, girl! 8. Our theme is just informal, with Starfish, Palm Trees, and colors of blue and coral interspersed. While our ceremony is going to be short, Tom is wearing his military dress blues, but changing into khaki's and a guayabera shirt for the reception. So, I'm hoping guests will dress nicely (no shorts, t-shirts) but it's still a very informal, casual theme for the entire week.
  9. I am going to do program fans, but haven't narrowed it down yet. I LOVE NurseSarah's fans ... but don't have the patience to make 50+ of those. :-)
  10. I got teary-eyed watching that! Holy Toledo -- you are one HOT bride with a hottie for a hubby too! :-) Those pics are great -- I love the last one especially ... but you can see the love and the fun just exuding from both of you!

My only question is...now that I have some templates...where do I go from here? How do I go about making my own?? I'm so confused...AS ALWAYS! I see you posted a draft ... so are you set in how to get it all started? I've used the Creative Memories corner-cutter and sheet-cutters for the perfect-cut look. I'm also getting a Perforator to give it that added authenticity. Luckily, Tom has been a GREAT help at cutting the pockets and doing the corner-rounding (my thumb gets ssoo sore punching out those corners!). He's also doing the gluing of the pockets and stapling of the invite pages for me ... as I work on the envelopes.
  12. I'm just starting to compile some workout playlists ... so more suggestions are awesome. Until I get some good tunes, I can't motivae my a$$ to get to the gym! aarrgghh!!!
  13. You've come to the right place!!! You'll find everything you need on this forum!
  14. Personally, I don't like the resort logo. Why not use Clip Art or a watermark image of something beachy? And, if I'm looking at it with the correct fonts, it seems very plain. Do you want to jazz it up a bit with some different fonts frm Download fonts | dafont.com? Or like Michelle said, add your logo/monogram to it...
  15. We are having an AHR. Initially we were having two (one in SC where we live and one in MD where my family lives). However, we are just having one now b/c most of my family/extended family are actually coming to the wedding. Tom is part owner of an Oyster Bar/Restaurant here in SC, so we are closing it down from 2-6pm on a Saturday about a month after our wedding ... and having the AHR on the rooftop deck there. It will be very casual and laid back. Low Country Boil and open bar. I'll wear my wedding dress again ... just b/c I want to :-). We are incuding the DW and AHR info on our invitations and asking for an RSVP for both ... since many people who can't attend the DW should be able to come to the AHR.
  16. Awesome, thanks Christine! I've been copying everyne's plaaylists to reference as I create ours ... so now I'll add yours to my file!

We don't have to provide our own vows, they take care of that, although we are having a sand ceremony. Were were also worried that the symbolic ceremony would not look real; the WC assured us that it would. Yes, and this is a money saver, for sure! PPC provides us with a non-denominational minister who will perform the Symbolic Ceremony, withour WC translating (unless one of our guests speaks Spanish and can translate instead) ... and my Uncle is going to read our Hand Ceremony. We are not given anything to sign, but I'm designing a "Marriage Certificate" that our Best Man and MOH will sign as our witnesses, along with our signatures - more of something Symbolic for us as opposed to anything else. And we are not telling anyone -- an acquaintance of mine is a Notary and she will take care of the legal stuff back here at home before we leave.

If you have problems still, PM me and I'll .zip 'em over to ya (on my way out the door so can't ddo it right now and w/o the PM, I'll forget!).

My sister just bought one for herself just to wear every day she thought it was so pretty LOL The Claddagh House Thanks for these sites as well! I like that Claddagh ring idea. They have another similar, but not Claddagh's where the wedding band sits inside the e-ring. I really like those too, for myself. That The Claddagh House site is great! Nice rings at good prices! I'm going to email for some Platinum prices.
  20. I love it! Sssooo cute! I wish it came in different colors -- but even in pink, it's perfect for holding the BM gifts!
  21. Susan! Holycow! I love .... YOUR RING, YOUR DRESS, YOUR BM dresses!!! I don't recall seeing any of them before although I'm sure they are posted somewhere. The dress is phenomenal ... heck all of it is. Let's see more!!!!
  22. Angela -- that is phenomenal!!! You look fantastic and it is definitely more motivation for me!!! (but in addition to the wine and beer -- I can't avoid the pasta ... uh oh!)
