I love seeing all that info. that's a great idea to send to confirmed guests! I've saved it to reference it as my date gets closer.

AWESOME! The pics are great and the info thus far is fabulous as a preview of Monica's review! Looks like a perfect wedding and perfect time!

Palladium Wedding Bands

Also it is naturally a white metal, (i.e. it is not altered chemically from yellow to white as is white gold), so it will never change color. It is in the platinum family, but it does not contain platinum, it is its own metal. Our jeweler recommended it highly...as she put it, "In God we trust, in man, not so much". (meaning...palladium is a white metal by "God" since that's how it's found in nature, where is white gold is white because man makes it white) Awesome! I'm going to check out Scott Kay! I'm punp about the possibility of the same look with less money, etc! -
We are having a Rehearsal Dinner for the wedding party and their spouses and our Photog (and Videographer if we have one) will also be invited to join us. Our resort is not charging us for a Rehearsal Dinner b/c we won't privatize the restaurant. Instead, they'll just get us a big reservation. If there was an extra charge, we would have decided to forego it. After the dinner, we ill meet up with all guests that want to at one of the bars for cocktails.

Reverse Cradle Rings

But I've seen wraps where you just set your E ring inside it and it makes it look like one ring. They are pretty too. Cool, thanks! I'll do some more looking for ones like that! -
How do you clean your ring?

Question for those who wrote their own vows...
foxytv replied to rodent's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I would definitely carry a notecard, even if you are good at memorizing. You never know what your emotions might cause you to forget at that moment! We are incorporating our vows into the Hand Ceremony and having my uncle read it, so we won't be reading our own vows, but we'll be writing part of the ceremony to fit our ideals. -
How do you clean your ring?
foxytv replied to rodent's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Our jeweler said to use Fantastik cleaner on it ... b/c it has a lot of the same ingredients as regular jewelry cleaners, but for a fraction of the cost. 1/2 warm water, 1/2 Fantastik. Soak the ring and then use an old toothbrush to clean in the nooks and crannies. -

I had to email him to tell him since he was still in Iraq ... and he called to ask what happened but then said, "let's put this behind us" and that he'd get me another one down the road (or that we could skip the honeymoon and he'd replace it now -- I said NO WAY!). We never brought it up again. But people compliment me on my "Gorgeous e-ring" all the time and Tom and I just smile b/c it's CZ now. But even people who know us and don't know what happened have no clue it's not the Tacori that he bought. But he HATES that I am wearing a CZ ... so we don't tell anyone. Even his Mom still talks about how beautiful it is, blah, blah, blah. We just laugh now b/c my Mom knows it was stolen but we didn't tell his Mom.

Do you have a picture of what you are getting yet? -

We could have filed it under our Homeowners Insurance, but we decided the claim would do more harm than good ... so we're just taking it as a loss.

Went back just a few minutes later, freaking out -- and they had my lotion that I left in the room (e-ring was RIGHT next to it) but noone saw the e-ring. I put up reward signs, filed a police report, checked the pawn shops (and the girls fingers every time I'm in the tanning salon) but to no avail. The owner even helped move the bed to check to make it hadn't fallen somewhere. One of those young HS girls who clean the beds must feel they needed that ring more than me. (I can't believe I can even talk about it so calmly now -- I thought my world was ending and I cried uncontrollably for days when it happened). Luckily, Tom didn't go too nuts about it. I got a replica CZ (mine was a tacori platinum w/ 3 stones and pave diamond edging) that I wear now and we're going to replace the e-ring as a 1-year anniversary diamond.

These rings might be a totally new favorite of mine. I have only found them on one website, and it's for the Celtic/Irish wedding bands and e-rings, but they are really neat. Reverse Cradle Rings : gold, platinum custom engagement rings settings by deSignet Not sure how it would look if you ever wore the e-ring part alone ... but for someone who is replacing an e-ring or upgrading at a later date, it's very unique!

Has anyone heard of this? As I was searching for Palladium rings, I found these and they are VERY cool and unique. Handcrafted Ring - Handcrafted Rings - Unique Wedding Bands Mokume Engagement rings - Handcrafted Ring - Designer diamond engagement rings Since I have to get a new e-ring ... I'm so torn these days as to if I want the same as I had initially, or if I want something totally new and unique. These rings are so cool!

Palladium Wedding Bands
foxytv replied to foxytv's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Yeah, it sounds like it's up to the designer/manufacturer ... but also sounds like it's definitely and up-and-coming thing which means getting it now can save lots of money! -
That is an absolutely gorgeous, stunning dress! Yes, the alteration cost for the size difference you need would be unbelieveably high. Too bad... have you found another dress?

Awesome! Thanks! I'm working on some Picture Books right now for Christmas gifts. We're putting one together with all of Tom's Iraq pics and captions as a Coffee Table book for his folks. They will LOVE it!
