As long as you are both cool with her coming, I would include her as any other guest. Regardless of whether she's coming b/c she "needs a vacation" or that she just might think highly of the two of you ... I think it ould be very awkward NOT to include her just like anyone else. If she chooses to forego some of the formal activities, then everyone wins, though, right? As long as you aren't paying the per-person fee for her at the reception, etc and she doesn't bother to come. Maybe ask her if she plans on this being simply a vacation or if she plans to partake in the events. It's a valid question, for sure!

Dominican Republic Brides~ POST HERE!

Does anyone know if you can book a booze cruise or snorkeling excurison from the hotel with a private boat Have you found the PPC links on here yet? There are a few that detail PPC. I'm getting married there the week before you!!! How exciting! I wouldn't put much weight on the Trip Advisor reviews. Have you checked out Debbie's Dominican Republic Travel Pages - 1,000's of Resort Reviews, Tour, Scuba and Wedding Information? There are reviews on there about PPC as well as a forum (you'll have to use the Search option to find the PPC threads. I don't know much (anything) really about the Reserve at PPC, but I do know you can book the Booze Cruise either from the hotel, through your TA or even online (there are several different companies that do those tours). I'd be happy to help if there's any other information you haven't found on here about PPC or the DR. I haven't been before, but have done A LOT of research and homework and we are thrilled with our wedding resort choice!!! P.S. Snorkeling is included at the resort. -
Favors or OOT items with your logo
foxytv replied to melglnh2o's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I've found good (some of the best for logos etc) deals at the Discount Mugs site as well. And I agree -- that l'il pup is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. What kind of doggie is she/he? -
OK, PM'ing my info to you after this. Nothing in particular that I really want/need. Here are a few ideas: Rhinestone "Bride" tank (M) Victoria's Secret Gift Card Armband for my iPod (for the gym) anything giftcard...

I think they look great. I like the 2-tone starfish. It looks like the "BOARDING PASS: TICKET TO PARADISE" wording at the top of both pages is a little bit cut-off, but it could just be my computer screen. Of course a test print will answer that question. I printed our address on the back of the Return Ticket with another starfish in the corner and will add stamps so they know it's an RSVP postcard. Not sure if you had the same idea but hopefully it will work to get those RSVP's! :-)

TTD Dress..How Much?
foxytv replied to BillysBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I found mine on eBay (same size and designer as my real WD) and I got it for $76!! No alterations necessary (I could get it taken in a bit, but figure no sense spending the extra money for the TTD ... especially when you won't be able to tell in the pics! -

We had such a great time at dinner! It was very cool to meet Brittney and Pete ... and put some actual conversations to the names and posts we've made on the forum! BDW rocks! We are still ssoo full from that phenomenal Italian food at Maggiano's and I can't wait to get back to ATL to eat there again! Hopefully next time we'll get some new ATL area gals to join us! It's awesome that BDW allows us to plan our weddings and make new friends in the process. PS -- The Giants kicked a$$ last night --- and we had to drive home afterwards to ge to work this morning, making it back to Greenville about 4:30am ... so needless to say I am EXHAUSTED! Brittney -- Thanks for bringing your camera and posting the pics! You and Pete are awesome!!

Just bought the dress!!!!

Very nice! Can't wait to see the open back when its finished! -
We are only doing ours from 2-6 on a Saturday afternoon about a month after we get back. But, that being said, we're having it on the rooftop deck of Tom's restaurant/bar ... so we wanted t do it during a time we could have the place closed. We want them to still open for dinner so we figured by 6, people could still stay and party ... but it just wouldn't be private anymore and that's when the open bar would end so we don't end up paying for moochers who come in to sit at the bar. Anywho ... back to topic ... since it's a hall -- and on a Sunday ... I would think anywhere from 2-9 would be perfect.

Help with my centerpiece!!!!

But the plates (darker bamboo style) would be great if you found something similar and placed the candles/vases on that. Just adds depth b/c of the difference in textures. -

Even if you colors are chocolate, cream and olive, you can always add a complementing color that brings everything together. But I think sage would be great, like in the pic Lissah posted. Maybe just some springs with a sage color on the table ... I think something woodsy like that would look fabulous with your color scheme. -
We're going to do the cupcake tower with cream colored icing and brown sugar sprinkles and then molded candy shells and starfish stuck on top.

Sounds good. I'll PM my info in the next few days busy weekend with future in-laws and his WHOLE immediate family in town.

Outside Photographer Warns me about Riu.
foxytv replied to PrecisePlans's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Wow, I didn't realize this could be an issue. Luckily, our photog is coming for an extended stay at teh resort with us. I don't know why they couldn't just purchase the day pass like anyone else would have to do and say they are coming to the XXXX wedding (although the equipment obviously makes it clear they are a photog). I guess the resorts will getcha any way they can, huh? -
Is this a book, I presume? Never heard of it but all for learning how to become a "skinny bitch" ... as long as they don't throw personal beliefs and such down your throat. Just get it at a bookstore?

That will really suck ... b/c I have never bought a single tune from iTunes. I use LimeWire and have downloaded my own CD's. Maybe that's the catch I didn't know about, huh?...

Mother of Bride/Groom Outfits
foxytv replied to foxytv's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Those are both totally great dresses. I love brown too, but Mom doesn't -- says it doesn't look good on her, but then again she does look better in brighter colors. -

That's how my Mom is (not wanting to show too much). Our ceremony is closer to dusk, and in April, so I don't think we'll have heat issues like many of you other brides. Actually, funny thing was, I told Mom whatever color she wanted ... but when she told me that both outfits she found were in that aqua blue color, I told her PERFECT b/c aqua and coral are our complement colors, so now I figure his Mom sholdn't have any trouble finding something coral and I think it'll look great. His Mom is about as big as my pinky anyway, so everything looks good on her.. -

I think it's best to play meaningful music if you have some. That sounds like a great idea.

Lorilou, I'm going to be using some of the lines from that as well. Thanks for reposting!
