Travel Mugs as Favours
foxytv replied to jmhein's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We are getting these Promotional Travel Mugs - Personalized Travel Mug, 16oz Travel Mug, Travel Coffee Mugs, Custom Travel Mug in AQUA and the price really isn't too bad. We're getting 75-100, so our price per mug is pretty afforadble ... but if you bump up your numbers to at least 36, your price will only be $2.99 each. They sent me a sample and we really like them. -

CONGRATS and welcome! I'm a DR bride in April 2008 and we're at one of your sister resorts (marrying at Paradisus Punta Cana and honeymooning at Paradisus Palma Real).

Well, we sent out our first batch of invites today and after talking with my Mom and with Tom, we decided not to include the new info and confuse many people. If history repeats itself, everyone will be calling me instead of her directly anyway so I will just address it individually. Most people will likely at least email or call us before booking, so I will pass along the correct info at that point.

At Home Reception Ideas Needed
foxytv replied to CluelessBride's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We are doing a casual reception about a month after we return. My FI owns a bar/restaurant w/ a Rooftop Deck, so we're closing the upper bar and deck area and having it there from 2-6pm. After 6, the upstairs will be open to the public but I'm sure we'll stay and keep things going ... that's just when the food will be over with and the open bar will likely end. I am going to wear my wedding dress, just because I want to, but otherwise it's going to be casual. We'll serve a Low Country Boil and other "beachy" foods casual/buffett style and have our open bar at the Tiki Bar on the deck. I'm doing a cupcake tower as well, instead of a full-fledged cake. Ireland?! That's AWESOME!!! My FI is majority Irish and I am part Irish, so I've ordered his wedding band from Dublin. Tell us more!!! And WELCOME!!!!

I used the template emailed to me by one of the girls, and then made changes to each individual pass. I copied and pasted one pass to a new Word doc to make/print the RSVP postcard, though, b/c I used a different color and card stock fot that. The process is time consuming any way you look at it, but the end result is well worth the time, effort and money-savings!

Very cool! Welcome and happy planning for your Vow Renewal! You've certainly come to the right place!!!

Tom was in Iraq while I was wedding planning ... so after we decided on the DR, I researched different resorts and emailed him info on my top 5 choices. He picked his top 2 (which happened to be my top 2 as well) and we decided to go with the least expensive one for the DW and the most expensive one for our HM. They are both in the DR.

Tea Length Dress
foxytv replied to Saraha's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Check the Nordstrom online wedding store. And here's a thread from another forum that has plenty of options on tea-length dresses ... but lots of the price points are higher than you probably want to spend. Knee-lenth or tea-length wedding dresses? -

Tanning advice and deals on where to tan?
foxytv replied to brigopens's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I go to a place called Endless Summer and in January I bought a "Tan All Year" membership for $99. That allows you to use the 'regular' beds and then you pay $2-$5 to upgrade to the bronzer/more high end beds. Those type beds are better for getting color quicker. If you use a bronzing lotion and a bronzer bed, you'll get faster results that last longer. -

Perfect solution! I hope she has new cards and I'll pick them up tomorrow! We are at home putting stamps on the envelopes right now but we haven't sealed them so that could be the best/easiest/most inexpensive option!

He doesn't even have her number nor do we know her last name (I don't care who you are if you don't know a person's last name they shoudn't be coming to your wedding but I'm getting over it). I told him to tell her all the details, she doesn't have them because she didn't get an invitation or travel packet. And I told him to see if she's coming to the reception. Oh and hopefully he finds out her last name so i can write it on the place card. I wonder if Tim didn't talk to the TA today if we would have even found out that she was coming. Everything is finalized, responses were due in Aug. , payment in full was due Sept. 19th, and everybody got their tickets in the mail from TA already, reception head count was due the begining of this month. Man, that is crazy. I would get her full name and address from your TA and mail her the travel packet ... but still have Tim ask her what her intentions are for participating. Explaining the way it works (per person fee) should do the trick I would think to know for sure. Good Luck!!!

Ring Shell instead of pillow

So, we're mailing out the invites this week and have everything printed and assembled. However, I called my TA today and while the number I have still works ... it directs you to dial "1" for the new Eastside location and "2" for the new Westside location. No one will know which location they need in order to reach her. The travel agency built two brand new facilities, but my TA thought her number would stay the same. Well, turns out it didn't and now all the TA information on our invitations is incorrect (email is the same at least). Not that people can't reach her b/c they still can, but it's simply going to be more of a hassle. So, should I print up a little insert for each invite (they are the Boarding Pass invites) with her new address/phone number or just let it go (the corrected/new info has been updated on our wedding website) and deal individually with anyone who calls me with a question?
