  1. sweet! There are alot of different ones on eBay too. Be sure to check those out! I'm addicted to Overstock too! And Amazon!
  2. Love the blog pics. They are great! And WHAT FAT! You have a smokin' bod sista!!!
  3. Nope -- it's hanging in the closet with my TTD, both in white garmet bags. He won't peek, but he has heard my FSIL and FMIL talk about it after I showed it to them, saying how it reminds them of FSIL's dress -- so maybe he has an idea. I hope not! I want those pics we have taken rigt before the ceremony to capture his true reaction! A And I'll keep it in my folks or BM room beforehand. Don't care if he sees the TTD though.

  5. The one I want to vote for isn't on the Challenge page. Boo ...
  6. LOL. Thanks everyone! Good idea Kate! Love it! I think we've decided on this one, the first ring. I showed Tom last night and he thought they were both cool and said if it's what I want, it will save him the trouble of shopping for one. I LOVE this ring!!!
  7. Tom and I are doing our non-beach pics ahead of time (the ones where we see each other for the first time) but all other pics will be afterwards ... but I don't think will take the entire cocktail hour time since we'll do all the after-ceremony pics on the beach and the reception is on the beach so we won't be trouncing all over the resort afterwards. thank goodness.
  8. I have a friend who ordered from HOB.com for a previous BM dress and everything went fine. My BM's ordered from 2008 Prom Dresses & Cheap 2007 Prom Dresses, Wedding Dresses & More at TJ Formal-Designer Dresses & Accessories and it's free shipping and a 10% discount, so it was considerably cheaper than in a bridal store or any of the other websites I found. Process was easy but orders were just placed so it will be January before the dresses arrive...
  9. Aw, Michelle -- you have plenty of time! But I would just try to have fun with it! When I tried on dresses that I WANTED to wear b/c I loved the style, they looked HORRIBLE on me and I was devastated. But I ended up trying on dresses that I didn't like (looks-wise) but when I tried them on, I was really surprised. The sizing makes all of us brides feel like fat blobs I think b/c they are always so much bigger than what we actually wear. It SUCKS. I know they say it all the time, but I really do think when you try the right one on, you'll know it! Good Luck sista!

We had some games but not many people played them. It just like a big party with all your friends/family. All the ones I have been to are a ton of fun. Generally people come to help out the couple getting married with expenses for the wedding. I am from a very small town and everyone knows everyone and we all want to help each other out. That really does sound totally fun! Did you have the prizes donated or did you have to shell out the cost for the prizes?

This is the website, 2008 Prom Dresses & Cheap 2007 Prom Dresses, Wedding Dresses & More at TJ Formal-Designer Dresses & Accessories and use the code I highlighted below in RED for an extra 10% off: Just for taking the time to visit our site we would like to offer you 10% OFF your next purchase! This offer is only valid through October 31st, 2007 so hurry back to place an order and take advantage of this great offer! To redeem, please enter coupon code: INC10312007 at checkout. It took forever for me to finally find this site b/c since my BM's are all over the country, I wanted to try to find free shipping for everyone. Most of my BM's have already ordered and have been pleased with the online customer service. Now, it's just a matter of waiting for them to be made and shipped! 13. You can get it here ... Wedding Music - Wedding Song for Father Daughter Dance ... and it's called "A Song for my Daughter". A Song For My Daughter is the second CD single release from New Traditions following the very successful A Song For My Son - the first song in history ever written for the mother and groom dance at a wedding reception. The CD single of A Song For My Daughter contains both a male vocal version and a female vocal version, so the song can be either from the father to the bride or from the mother to the bride. The male vocal version is sung by Ray Allaire who also sings the very popular New Traditions song A Fathers Song. The female vocal version is sung by Mikki Viereck who also sings the traditional version of A Song For My Son.
  14. That is one GORGEOUS dress!!! I bet it looks like a dream on you!!! Congrats on finding THE dress!!!!
  15. Awesome Hostess Gifts and my oh my, what a spread!!! So, what did you get?? :-)
  16. I hadn't heard of this before BDW, but it's kind of odd to me. A Honeymoon Registry serves the same purpose, without being so open about asking for money, IMHO. I am more than willing to give gifts/money/etc .... but don't think personally that it's appropriate to ask for it. But, it does sound pretty standard in Canada, so that's cool (heck, if it was standard here, I'd be all for it, lol).

Or the eternity band like Amy suggested. I guess it will be hard to really tell until I see the ring on my own hand since I have small fingers. Quote: Originally Posted by Morgan I like them. I think that band would look best alone. You could possible add a plain ring, but I don't think it would add anything to the look so doesn't seem worth it. Another idea is getting the other ring for your right hand. Hhmm.. hadn't thought about the right hand, but I don't think I want to do that, at least not with the wedding ring. I guess I could just forego the anniversary band altogether for my ring finger and wear it as a right-hand ring. That's probably the easiest option -- since it seems these rings probably won't look so good with anything else on the same finger. So many decisions.
  18. I vote for Heidi. With everything she has been though -- she has still managed to keep her chin up and be an active member on BDW ... offering us support and advice when we need it -- even though she's the one going through some seriously tough times!
  19. My BM's are sizes 0-20+ ... so I have similar issues. We chose this dress and everyone seems very pleased with the way it fits different sizes. It was $145+ in the bridal stores, but I found a website where it's $106 and free shipping, so that's what they went with.
  20. Since my e-ring was stolen, we are considering not replacing it -- or if we do it will be a few years down the road. So, I've been thinking about getting a more unique wedding band instead. My only question is whether or not one of these wedding bands would look good with an anniversary band or if they are better as a stand-alone wedding ring? I think I do want the anniversary band eventually -- but not sure if I go with one of these as my wedding ring, how they would look together. I think the anniversary band would have to be very plain...
  21. Yeah, SELF rocks, and that SELF challenge is still available online. You can start it over every month and track your progress online. I need to focus on my arms and the fat under the arms that will show in my strapless gown. THAT is my biggest concern b/c my bra pushes up what little I've got in the boob area -- which also pushes up that extra skin and it looks YUK!
  22. Holy cow, you look absolutely gorgeous and that dress just adds to the vision! I can't say enough how much I LOVE the dress and how fantastic you look in it!!! Everything looks like it was perfect! Can't wait to see more, more, more!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
