  1. Here is a website that lists all the custom ring jewelers in MN: Wedding Rings Minneapolis St. Paul, Wedding Band Minneapolis St. Paul, Wedding Jewelry

Makes it a little more fun (like your dragonflies for the BM's).
  3. Love Love Love Love Love these pics! What an amazing job, amazing pics, amazing views, amazing setting..... Your dress is too beautiful and I love your earrings! What a PERFECT wedding day!!!!

I was thinking it really was only significant to us BDW ladies, anyway! Everyone esle will probably just ooh and aah over what a unique idea it is. hehe. That's what's happened so far with every idea I've gotten from this board! I LOVE it!!!
  5. So, I was just thinking about the Starfish Pins that we are using in our bouquets. I am going to use a champagne colored pin in my bouquet. But I really like the idea of the pins and was thinking about adding a clear crystal starfish pin to each of my BM bouquets. Do you think it changes the significance if I do that? I know most of us ladies have only used it in the Bridal Bouquet. I don't want to detract from my bouquet by adding the starfish to the BM bouquets ... but I am having an invory rose bouquet and they have colorful bouquets. I was thinking then they could keep their starfish pin afterwards. Any thoughts?
  6. Just bought my SS gift! I hope she likes it!!!!! I'm excited about it! I LOVE giving gifts!
  7. Pretty, but pricey for my wedding budget! :-)
  8. I am surprised that FFIL can't get a waiver for the overseas work thing for his son's wedding -- but that being said -- and assuming that is not an option, then I think truly the only thing you can do is bite the bullet and make the changes. I would insert a note with the invitations addressing the date change. If there is a penalty for any of the deposits, I would ask FFIL to help cover those penalty costs. But being sure your parents are in attendance if they want to be is optimal, and the right thing to do. It will all work out!!!
  9. Thanks Christine, and all you MODS. Good idea, Angela. Maybe some candles and aromatherapy too (I know it sounds more girlie, but might be soothing while recovering). I'll be sending my donation on Friday, if that's not too late.

You will book that seperately and each hotel concierge should have the info for you to reserve it. It is so much fun. Great for a pre-wedding group outing. You'll see gorgeous beaches, get some great pics, and it makes for a fun afternoon. That's a great idea about the 4x4 tours. I had considered the Booze Cruise, but I think the 4x4 tour might actually be more fun and give us a chance tof the island! It's a new resort and Samana just recently got their own airport so that's why I am assuming there aren't many of you out there...because it looks gorgeous! The resort is the only one located on a small island which was the appeal for us - small and secluded! Anyways, hope to hear back from someone...and congrats to all the DR brides...I have yet to see a resort that doesn't look gorgeous! It seems like I have recently read some info on this resort, not sure though if it was on this forum or Debbie's... I wish I could tell you more ... Congrats though! We'll be in DR at the same time!!! Quote: Originally Posted by newfiebride I am getting married at the Ocean Blue. Any advice or opinions about the resort you could share with me? Thanks. 12. Do you know if they come in white chocolate too? That's excatly what I want for our AHR cupcake tower, but in chocolate and white chocolate.
  13. Angela... Awesome pics! What a great looking resort, beautiful ceremony (I love your dress and hair!!). Are your BM dresses Bari Jay? They look similar to my BM dresses, but in a different color.
  14. Very nice! It will be the perfect weight for a summer DW! Can't wait to see you in it!!!
  15. LOL! I TOLD you it hurts! :-)

Also check out the Loreal (I think that's the brand) True Match. They have bronzers that you can use a guide in the stores and match your skintone to the shade.
  17. FYI: I haven't had any problem with the Fake Bake fading/peeling/coming off -- another reason I think my dermatologist recommends it, aside from it keeping us out of the tanning bed. Tanning products, fake bake, tan perfect, sunless tanning products, tanning lotions
  18. Awesome! The Fixer was recommended to me before, but I wasn't buying in to it. Now, I will definitely spend the money! I'll be using ALL MAC for my wedding make-up as well. But will also look into the BeneFit you suggest too.
  19. I would also stay away from Mystic Tan and have it done with the professional airbrush. It's a little more pricey, takes longer (and you'll need more than one application to get some color) but the end result is worth it IMHO. My dermatologist receommnded Fake Bake for me (b/c I was using the tanning bed) and I LOVE it! It's a self tanner you apply on your own (it comes with gloves b/c it will stain your hands) but you need someone to help you get those "hard to reach" areas, which is the only reason I don't use it religiously. Tanning products, fake bake, tan perfect, sunless tanning products, tanning lotions I will do my arms & legs in the wintertime with it, b/c the "hard to reach" areas aren't seen in winter -- but if you'll be wearing a backless dress or something like that, get help to apply. I can not tell you how awesome this stuff is! It makes you TAN, not ORANGE at all! And it's recommended by dermatologists! Mine actually has it in-stock at the office, but after my first bottle (I use the foam application) I started buying it online b/c it's cheaper than at the doctor's office.
  20. Interesting! I think I am too far along with other spreadsheets and such that I have put together on my own for budgets and guests, etc ... but wish I had seen this sooner!
  21. I just contacted my hairdresser and she told me about a place they referred people too, but she says most weren't happy with them and they would start coming out in 1-2 days. PLus, they are $250-$450. OUCH!!! So, I have calls out to some other salons in my area to see what they have to say. My stylist suggested Revitalash. She says several clients of hers use it and love it. The website www.Revitalash.com appears to be down, but on Shopping at BizRate - Price comparisons & product reviews online they have price comparisons and on Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more there are reviews (9 out of 11 say it's a miracle worker!). It's about $100 for that, but it's natural. I might have to try this route if the other quotes I get come back over $100 at the local salons.
  22. Without the boning extras on top, I think it's beautiful. If she's able to work with you to alter things to your liking, I say go for it. I love the uniqueness of dresses that you know no one else will have!
