  1. My dress is ivory with champagne detailing ... so the BM are wearing champagne colored dresses and the GM are wearing ivory and beige. Our accent colors and aqua and coral.

It sounds weird but better safe than sorry. They are really just for the timeline - not for the door hanger portion. I agree about the door hangars. I would definitely not have people use them. I thought the same thing. But they do rock! I think I may use them, but put the timeline on it's own paper that just goes in the OOT bag.
  3. Program -- Can you share the "What Looks Like Crazy" Reading ... sounds interesting! And ... where did you get the bracelet for your Mom and the GUM -- love it!!!
  4. WOW! Looks great! Love your dress too! What did you use for the circular hole for the door hangars? And what kind of paper (heavy card stock?) Love those too!
  5. Love them! Can't wait to see the BM dresses with the dark green under the floral lace. And of course definitely want to see YOU and THEM in the dresses!!!
  6. My travel agent is with AAA Vacations and she's been doing a great job for us. She worked with Travel Impressions (which is a tour operator contracted with our resort) and we were able to get lower prices and many perks and freebies. We have about 24 rooms booked thus far (anything over 20 roms gave us one free room ... which we ca use to pay for ours, or spread the wealth and give everyone a discount). We also had an "early bird" booking period and anyone who booked during that time got $30 off their rate.
  7. I think they are great, but I TOTALLY understand about becoming uninspired with the whole DIY aspect. We had to make almost 200 Boarding Pass invites (5 pages each) and by the time weot through the first 50 .... I wanted to STOP. But in the end, people are still raving about them and most don't believe we made them ourselves. So, I think you'll be happy with the time-intensiveness when all is said and done!
  8. Wow ... it's gorgeous and fits you like a dream! No wonder you are so excited! I love it!!!!!
  9. We just have it on our website. I have a separate link that is called "Gift Registry" and it has the places listed with links to the online stores (Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Macys and a Honeymoon Registry). We are not asking for or expecting gifts either, but have had people ask, so I went ahead and registered for a few things.
  10. How small are they? I see it says 8 1/2 " but would a travel mug fit in them (it's okay if it sticks out the top). How much are you asking? I'd probably need close to all 50.
  11. My boss does this anytime he's hiring. We have a small office and have to work together as a team, so it's important that everyone is a good fit (we've seen just HOW important that is when a poor fit has been hired). Usually, he will just give me a heads up that a candidate is coming in and after he's done interviewing them, he'll send them over to me. I use it more as a chance for them to ask me questions about the work culture, environment, job requirements etc -- because I feel you can gain a lot of insight into their work ethic and personailty by seeing what questions they ask and what is important to them. I always give my boss honest feedback, but it's usually little more than whether or not I think they will mesh well with our office culture and team environment.
  12. I am wearing one, but am worried about the one that I have, b/c you can see the boning through my dress (the dress material is very light). The bra I have is a "seamless" longline, but has the boning on the underside. I need a longline bra that sucks me in and pushes my "little ladies" up without giving my the underarm pooches. Any suggestions? I''ve heard the "Flattering Me" line rocks, and they have them at 2 local bridal salons, so I may have to try them ... but funds are running low and by the time $$ comes in, it will be time for my first fitting! aarrgghh!!!!

    New DR Bride

Congrats and welcome from another future DR bride!
  14. I have 4 BM and one MOH, plus I'm getting something for both of our Mom's as well. Embroidered tote bags with their first name and starfish. Filled with Tiffany-style starfish necklace and more stuff but not sure what yet. There is a place downtown that is restringing my mom's pearls, so I think I will make earrings for the BM's there as well. Not sure what else for the Mom's but I have some time. All in all, it will be 50-75 per person.
  15. WELCOME! Chateau Elan is absolutely spectatcular! I'm just north of you in Greenville, SC -- and can't wait to hear more about your wedding plans!
  16. I use Bare Minerals and LOVE it. It's true what they say about being able to sleep with it on and not breaking out from it. However, I am using MAC for the wedding b/c I want a more matte finish and the MAC Studio Fix powder foundation works so well with all different types of lighting.
  17. What a fabulous idea! I definitely want to look into doing something like this -- but unfortunately will have to wait until AFTER the wedding (or maybe shortly before we can start). But what a great notion! Congrats on having your heart in the right place!
  18. I missed the boat. Pretty much sold out -- and not getting the page to load now to order. Boo!!!!
  19. They are on SALE for $99 at Welcome to Jos. A. Bank Clothiers (regular $295). Just type in "seersucker" in the Search Box.
  20. It's $5 per bag at our resort -- so we are having informal "welcome cocktail receptions" each night at the Lobby Bar and will hand them out to the newly arriving guests each night.
