  1. Ours is an April wedding ... but just a few weeks before yours! This past week we just ordered our rings and tonight I ordered the GM shirts. I have my first dress fitting in February. Still have to buy my undergarmets. Still have to finalize reception plans, but really we can do that at the resort when we get there. Still working to download music to our iPods and put together our playlists. Need to design and print OOT bag hang tags, Welcome Letters, Timelines, etc. Also, need to confirm guest list for DW and get info mailed out to guests in March. I'm trying to think of everything else b/c I know there is still a TON more to do. UGH!
  2. At our resort (not in PV) we have numerous options. We can have a dinner at any of the restaurants for no extra cost -- but it's not "private". Anything "private" requires an additional cost b/c they have staff focused solely on you and your guests.
  3. I just escalated from Elite to VIP when I hot 2,000 posts a few minutes ago.
  4. My folks are in Ocean City, MD ... and we've taken the Cape May-Lewes ferry a lot. Cape May is a great little town!
  5. Congratulations!!!! I'm also a PC bride! It's oh so exciting!!!
  6. Okay, here are the shoes I am wearing for the ceremony. But, our reception will likely be on the beach, so I will change into some wedge thongs for the reception -- plus the heels will kill my feet if I try to wear them for that long. I've had to search for high wedges b/c I need a similar heel height. So, I bought both of these. They are both the right height ... but I can't decide which to wear. They were really super inexpensive, so I can technically keep both, but I really should send one back. My dress is ivory w/ champagne detailing so either one will match well. Now, it's time to start on the final stretch of weight loss before the fittings start. Ugh!!! I didn't order these shirt for my Dad or FFIL. I was going to let them wear whatever they wanted. Do you think I should get them matching shirts too? I'm starting to think it might look better with all the same shirts (maybe get the Dad shirts in the white color but matching GM shirt design)??
  9. Oh you poor thing -- but I had to laugh a bit b/c I am a clutter-bug and FH goes CRAZY b/c of it. My "project" this weekend is to clean out one of the spare bedrooms, which I have piled up with crap.FH is a total military style neat freak. Everything has its place and NO clutter ... so I can imagine what you are feeling b/c he can't stand my pack-rat tendencies. I'm glad you are able to let it out and vent.

So now I am confident in my decision of the khaki GM shirts. I think FH shirt will be perfect though b/c it's ivory. I just love the embroidery as opposed to a simple printed design.

  13. So, I finally found what I think will be great shirts for the groomsmen. I just hope the color is okay. I chose the khaki color, but am wondering if I should have ordered white? What do you think? But my dress is ivory so I was afriad white would be to stark next to the ivory... The guys are wearing khaki Dockers as their pants. Do you think this will look okay? And here is the shirt I ordered for FH to wear at the reception. He's wearing his military dress blues for the ceremony but will change for the reception. I love this shirt!!!
  14. We are having a friend who is a Notary witness us sign the paperwork a few days before we leave for DW. She will file everything for us while we are gone. As minimal as possible is what we are doing.
  15. We are doing this for our reception. There are several awesome cigar factories near our resort, so we are getting prices now. But I think they are only charging per cigar.
  16. I totally need to know where you found those groomsmen shirts?? LOVE them!!! And I love the first dress.
  17. How cute! I don't guess they will work so well for our wedding in the DR, though. Oh well...
  18. Very cute. That is weird that it's so small, but it looks fine.
  19. Has anyone tried the Omega Paw Self Cleaning Litter Box? You roll it back and forth and it collects the waste. Here's a link. It's way more affordable then the electronic ones. I think I might try this. It's gotten great reviews as well. Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box: Omega Paw Self Cleaning Litter Boxes at PETCO
  20. I LOVE the red ones! They rock! But you could always do both -- red for the ceremony and white for the reception.
