  1. We are registered at Macy's, Home Depot, Honeymoon Wishes and Bed Bath and Beyond. Also, our TA has a honeymoon fund for us.

I may have to just let me FMIL make one for me. I know what I want in my head, I just can't find it anywhere. If you know what you want and #1 or #2 aren't it -- definitely don't settle. Either keep looking or have it made. IMHO.
  3. love it!!! I tried on your #2 as well but it did nothing for me. I like the idea of cinching the middle of the bustline. That's the only thing about my dress that I wish was different.
  4. #1 blows my mind it is so beautiful -- and I think it flatters your kickin' figure better than the second one.
  5. I like the 2nd one. I don't know why but I don't care for the bustline of #1 -- maybe b/c I'm boobless.
  6. I just scheduled my "Quick Start" session at the gym for tomorrow at 2pm. A trainer will work with me for an hour to show me the different equipment (I know how to use most but this gym has a lot of different stuff ... and the weights on most of the static equipment work differently). Then, tomorrow I will sign up for my free personal training session ... and plan to purchase a 10 session package (1 hour each). It's $370 for 10 sessions. I will do those now I think 2x/week (I weekday and 1 weekend) and go in and do serious cardio for 1 hour on at least 2-3 other days.

  8. Wow I am so sorry to hear about that outrageous credit card bill -- but I do want to say thanks for your review and pics (love the TTD shots!). Congrats on a beautiful, memorable wedding day!
  9. Oh I really like the Jessica style. This is a great line if you want your BM's to be able to get affordable dresses in a particular color -- but be able to pick their own style.
  10. I love them both. I actually tried on the first one at DB before and it ws near the top of my list. But truly, I lvoe the tea length one. I don't think it's too "party frock" at all, especially with the right shoes/make-up/hair/jewelry combo. But if it didn't feel "bridal" enough to you -- then problem solved!
  11. First off, they are all great dresses. I actually like the first one -- but I would check with your BM's to see if they are all comfortable going strapless. If not, then I would stick with #3. But any will be beautiful.
  12. We have numerous guests who have yet to book their airfare for our April wedding, hoping that prices will go down. Prices are presently about $600-$750 from the depature destinations they will be using (CLT, ATL, MCO, and NYC airports). Currently, rates are about $300 to PUJ (Punta Cana) during Jan-Feb-Mar, but spike tremendously in April. Any idea if we can expect prices to come down in the beginning of February (once April gets to be 3-months out?). I have a feeling we are going to have a lot of people back out at the last minute, even though their rooms are paid for, b/c of airfare prices.
  13. I'm joining the gym which is called the Life Center through our hospital system. It's just a mile up the road and is huge and awesome. I am also purchasing a personal trainer package. Because of my schedule I will not use the same trainer each time, most likely one during the week and another on weekends -- but they say that's good to switch it up and get different strategies. I will use a trainer 2-3x per week and do just cardio probably 2 times a week. It's more of a wedding resolution for me than a NY resolution but I hope to make it a habit.

  15. Just got our price and in the DR it's $200 for set-up and $6 per cigar.
  16. I got these shirts for our GM in khaki, but this is them in white. Tropical Royal Palm Tree Short Sleeve Shirt
  17. Congrats and WELCOME! Glad to see more and more DR brides!

  19. I bet with those clear luggae tags we can design business cards on VistaPrint that will allow us to put a design on one side and the lines for the guests to fill in name and address on the other side.
  20. Here is a map of the resort with the Gazebo pointed out. Also, it turns out that the gazebo is very near many of the Royal Service rooms, so you can walk to it instead of needing the tram or horse carriage. Here is what the WC recommends: If you are located in the villa 19-25-20-26-30 or 31 it is possible to walk because they are closer to the gazebo. The perfect one would be the villa 30. If you can talk to your travel agent tell them that you want to be in that villa.
  21. Hot Spot Bavaro will hook you up for a large party. I've emailed them. Romy and Manu welcome you to Hot Spot, the hottest Cocktail Bar in a natural cave in Bavaro / Punta Cana / Dominican Republic And Jellyfish will stay open for large parties too. Jellyfish restaurant Bavaro Punta Cana Dominican Republic FH has friends in Puerto Rico who go to Punta Cana to party and they evidently know of some other plcaes too.

And... apparently you can see how much I paid for them! Interesting. hhmm ... Interesting. I haven't gotten anything back yet but I would think that shows it being centered. However, I wouldn't want to assume so I would email them to make sure. When did you order? They told me to expect shipping on 1/15, but looks like that won't happen. No biggie, I just want to get it confirmed. Keep us posted as to what you find out about your proof.
  23. Yeah, it's weird. Once it was regular size, but other than that -- small. Makes typing more than a one liner a PITA!
