  1. You can read it, but it's just ssoo small. I will deal with them, but I will be contacting them tomorrow to find out why they were printed and shipped w/o me being sent a proof. I know someone else's came out really small tlike these -- but they were printed towards the bottom of the mug. I didn't care for those either -- but it might just be a personal preference since I had in my mind's eye and much bigger print.
  2. Just got mine in the other day. They are really nice!!
  3. So I have been wondering why I ordered my mugs on Dec. 17 and still had not received a proof. Well, today, despite having emailed a few times and being told they were working on the artwork -- there were three boxes sitting at my front door. It's not that I completely dislike them -- they are what I wanted -- but the image is ssoo small. I expected it to be at least double this size. These pics aren't the greatest -- but here they are. Sorry they are a bit blurry. And this is the image, but in all coral.
  4. Parasols. Fans. A big starfish or have each carry a different type of big shell. Nothing at all. Shell bouquets.

It was not windy for us at all, so I have no tips there. It was also perfect weather because it was cooler at the beach, so it was great to be down there for the reception. I would suggest NOT getting tikki torches. I wanted them, but it was too windy for them (yet none of us noticed any wind), but it was a blessing in disguise because they had them set up the next night for a dinner and they really really stink. So just an FYI, I would not suggest you use them. They had lots of lights strung up for us and in the trees and we had candles on the tables. It was perfect. That sounds beautiful. I want the lights strung up and from some of the pics the WC has sent, I think if I am very specific, that they can make it happen.
  6. Great -- another reason to shop tomorrow. lol. I'm going to check it out. I never go into Pier 1 ... but I will for $1 fans!!!

Great! I just ordered parasols last week ... and I'm glad you mentioned water. I was thinking we could have BM's and parents hoard some water bottles in the days leading up to the ceremony and put on our own labels and then have a bucket with ice in it for the water at the gazebo. That way we aren't being charged a crazy amount of money for water at the private gazebo bar.
  8. Staying in the DW resort for 5 nights, then switching to a more upscale/expensive resort for 6 more nights.

So it should be cooler by then. Just pray for no rain and no wind! :-)

You know what, I'm glad you brought that up. We are having a sit down Rehearsal Dinner in one of the restaurants -- but not for everyone, just the wedding party and spouses since if we did it for everyone we would have to privatize the dinner and it would be an extra $2500. However, we are doing welcome cocktail receptions each night as new guests arrive. Just very casual, meeting at the Lobby Bar. So, I think that all helps me (us) lean towards the beach reception for after the ceremony. We are getting married in the gazebo, so I asked about having a cocktail reception for 1/2 hour before and 1/2 hour after the ceremony in a garden area near the gazebo as well.

Oh, I totally understand that. My Mom is concerend about the wind, which I hadn't ever thought about -- and the heat for our older guests. We can have tents but they aren't as classy as we would like. Plus, with a beach reception it's a buffett instead of a plated meal. Anyone think that's a big deal? I guess buffett is okay but the food is usually much better and more elegant with a plated dinner..
  12. That's just a few I found real quick on this website: Cabo San Lucas,Mexico: Cabo Expo - Shopping in Cabo San Lucas But I am sure if you contact any of them that they will put you in touch with a cigar roller. :-) Good Luck!

  16. I just did a Google search for cigar factories and found several which I emailed about prices. I would Google "Cabo Mexico Cigar Factory" and see what you get. We aren't getting married in Cabo, but the DR has a ton of cigar factories. The prices I have received from my emails is $200 set-up fee and $6 per cigar. But I have no idea if prices would be comparable in Mexico...
  17. Thanks ladies! I was just looking for some templates that are on here, so this is perfect!!!

  19. We will be having a private reception ... but based on the offerings of the resort, we are having a hard time choosing between a beach reception w/ a buffett dinner or a reception at one of the restaurants which would be closed off to the public with a sit down, plated dinner. Price isn't much different for either -- but I can see pros/cons to both. Any thoughts?
  20. Toby Mac's "Made to Love You" will play when we enter the reception. It's an awesome, upbeat song that I fell in love with the first time I heard it on a photographgers website during her wedding slideshow samples. Toby Mac used to be w/ DC Talk and so he sings Christian music, but I am not into Christian music at all. This song doesn't sound like that at all. If you Google his name you can find it, as well as on YouTube. I downloaded the sone from LimeWire.
  21. I would love to, but they are only going for 3 days -- and any of the excursions are either included or would take a whole day out of their trip. Maybe a massage while they are there would be nice. They do the couples beach massages...
  22. I think that's fine. They can put on the jackets right before the ceremony and take them off right after.
  23. We registered since we are having an AHR and I guess its a good think since we now have a couples shower scheduled. We did a honeymoon registry, which I was hoping would be used the most -- but we've only had one $30 gift on that. We also registered at Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond. We really need new luggage so hopefully we might get that if anyone does a group gift at the couples shower.
  24. Passport covers aren't as inexpensive as you would think. If you are OK spending more than $5 a person, you can get them in bulk at COVERMECRAZY.COM (it's an eBay store). An alternative to the Travel Mugs with that many guests could be koozies w/ your logo. Are you having an AHR? Then you can get a better price and also have the koozies as your AHR favors.
