  1. Dude, your Beaches gave you WAY more then my Beaches! We got t-shirt and size xxl flip flops. I am a xsmall shoe and my husband is probably a S or M. And we didnt' get any pretty photo album or robes! Oh well. I still wouldn't change anything.
  2. I googled "father and daughter in law dance for wedding" and got some intereting results... Father In Law/Daughter In Law Dance Weddingbee Boards louis armstrong's what a wonderful world My Wish by Rascall Flatts I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack True Colors (cover) by Eva Cassidy Treat Her Right by Sawyer Brown (if you like country, this is a nice song that can be interpreted as being addressed to your FH from your FIL about you... does that make sense?) Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World medley by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole, is lighthearted, fun, and sweet YouTube - Somewhere Over the Rainbow That Rascall Flats song got quite a few nominations from the pages that I found. Also, just some old song by Sinatra or something might work well.
  3. OMG, I just cracked up at "let's call her bitch face"! Hahhahaaha, I had to tell my co-worker. So funny.
  4. Does anyone know how to recover Lumapix files? I had a trial version and created lots of layouts for my photobooks, then when I upgraded I can no longer access those files. They still appear in my folder, but I can't open them anymore to see what they were. I doubt they were all great, but I am sure that there were some good ones mixed up in there. Does anyone know how to uncover, or unlock, or whatever, files that aren't able to be opened? ? ?
  5. Yolanda said exactly what I wanted to say, only better. Sorry you are having drama! But just think, this time next month you will be married to your man! You will be a wife! It's so exciting, so try to think about all the good things.
  6. You can PM me with the info. The forum capabilities have changed and now a person only has like an hour to update a posting, but they could never update the title. Any of us mod's would be more then happy to help you out. Just sent a link to the thread and the update you would like made.
  7. Oh April, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  8. That's a great idea, Celena! Mexican wedding dishes. I forgot we also have the sand too...
  9. We got the same thing almost, Danielle! And I WISH we had gotten something for future children. But we weren't thinking that far ahead, I guess...
  10. We bought a stone sculpture of two shapes intertwining, to symbolize us becoming one. Of course, the 1st week home Matt knocked it over and one of the "heads" broke off. But we were able to glue it back on and you can barely tell.
  11. I am glad you guys have such a positive spin on it! Congrats, I guess? Hahahahaa.
  12. Interesting. I pulled the link right from the word doc. Anyway, if you are still trying to figure it out, you can send the link and I'll add the right dress to the original posting.
  13. Tracy - I added the link and photo of your dress to your original posting. Check out the link in my siggy for forum directions on lots of things (uploading pictures).
  14. I agree with comments above, it is your wedding day and you should feel gorgeous. I think you should continue the dress hunt and let you mom know you appreciate her contribution. I know David's has a no return policy, but I beleive this has happened to other girls on the forum and David's may allow you to return the dress and credit it towards another. You should def give it a try. I am sure your mom wants you to be 100% happy, feel beautiful and confident on your wedding day!
  15. My mom and dad just went to a wedding where they did this and they said it was lots of fun. Outside the booth, there was a bucket of props to have fun with - funny hats, masks, glasses, etc. I SO wanted to do this for my AHR but since we ended up having it at a restaurant it didn't pan out. I think it's my favorite idea that I didn't use. Jac - email Lauren. She said she is doing this for her wedding in September, so she might have a company and price info... Forgot to say that they printed out 2 sheets of 4 pictures in a column. One sheet was placed in the guest book and the other sheet was for the guest to keep.
  16. Hmmmm, I think that every adult should be given the option of a "and guest" when invited to a wedding. So I guess I am in the minority, but I don't really see what the big deal is. I was single in my mid 20's when most of my friends were getting married. I brought dates to all the weddings, b/c it's just more fun that way. I know everyone doesn't agree, but I think everyone should be given the option.
  17. Our friend Roe is having a baby in April (I think) and that is her first choice in names. Acutally the last names are kinda similar too! I'll email you, so I don't post my friends full name somewhere publicly.
  18. Ashli, seeing the "Bring some small bills for the game we will play" in the context of the poem, I don't think anyone will think you are having a stripper. It's pretty clear that it has to do wtih stocking your lingerie drawer.. Totally loving this idea.
  19. Ashli, I love that tip jar thing to use towards lingerie! That's a great idea.
  20. I think that this was confirmed as NOT true, but correct me if I am wrong anyone....
  21. Oh there are loads of things that you can do. For mine, I had about 10 girlfriends (mostly the wedding party, plus a few), get together at my parents house. And we hired a bellydancer to come out and give us lessons. I think it was really fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. And you can't forget the chocolate martinis. I have also heard of people doing that, but with stripper lessons. It's gotta be fun. Others that I have been on were more low-key, like just dinner out with all the girls. Or, rent a bus and fill it with as many people as possible and go out and get rowdy drunk. It all depends on what you like to do. Some other things that I considered (cuz I DID NOT want to dress up with a sash and tiara!) were pottery lessons, were each person would decorate a dish to make up my "china". And I forget what the other one was, but something similar and low-key.
  22. Bianca - that's the silliest thing I have ever heard! 2 Macy's in one small mall??! I am glad they aren't closing mine, I just got the store credit card!
