I think it's your call, but I don't see the big deal. If you aren't comfortable with them singing, then I think having the DJ acknowledge it is a great choice. I don't think singing would detract from your wedding celebration at all; however, I hate being sung too, so think about if the person would appreciate it or not. If they won't (like I would be super embarrassed if someone did that to me), then all this worry is for nothing. If they would like it, I really don't think it would harm the feeling of the wedding being about you.

Marie - if you can't find that shirt, perhaps Cecelia could pass along your question to the bride or groom? I found a shirt that I loved in one of Sol's weddings (she's a photog as well) so I sent her a message. She was more then happy to pass my question along and the groom got back to me with the designer of the shirt I liked. Sadly, my husband wasn't crazy about it at all, so it was all for nothing.

I also ordered our groomsmen clothes from Island Importer, the drawstring linen pants. I loved them, the guys loved them. They did get wrinkley, but that's kinda what I like about linen. It looks lived in. And we had a number of gm's ranging in size from (really) skinny yo XXL and they all looked great. They were really long, but that's nothing that a little hem won't fix.

I just used what the resort offered (pink roses) for my bouquet. I think they provided a bout for my husband as well, but I honestly can't even remember! I didn't do flowers for the groomsmen or bridesmaids, but the bm's carried parasols.

Have you tried searching the Jamaica subforum for the ROR info? I know that previous brides posted everything as they went along, so I am sure you will find something that would help you out. For instance, I just performed an advanced search for anything within the Jamaica section that contained "Riu price list" and got about 5+ links that had information. One of my closest friends actually told me the same thing when I was in her wedding. Now she had 13 BM's, so perhaps she was trying to save some money there, but I thought it was odd too. I think everyone should get an invite.

I have no clue what words were said. I let the minister use his own wording and honestly was too nervous/excited to really listen. He also guided us if we weren't doing what we were supposed to, so your minister will probably let you know when you should pour.

Alot of that information is posted here, by previous brides. But there isn't one place to compare. That would be a great idea, but not sure that anyone has the time to step and and take the job. Especially since resorts prices and packages change so often.

Well, I don't see teenagers much since I work at a University, but I know that they look like I did when I was like 23! SO they look old as shit to me. And I remember thinking the old cast was old looking too. Oh well, everyones entitled to their own opinions.

Yeah, David wasn't cute in the beginning, but he's a hottie now! Steve was always skeevy to me. Does anyone else have trouble with the fact that these kids are supposed to be 16 years old? I guess that's the point of the show, but they all look so old! Oh and I heart Navid. He's such a sweetie and I think he handled Adrianna's bombshell really well for a 16 year old! She may not have liked it, but I think he was cool about it.

OMG, I thought the same thing about Ethan, but thought I was just being mean. He is NOT attractive, imo.
