  5. Congrats and welcome to the forum! I was going to share the same link as Ann...
  6. Congrats and welcome to the forum! The beginning is the most stressful, for sure. Tammy gave you some great links to help you decide, but I also agree that you need to decide on budget first. Once you have the budget, you can find the resort and once you have the resort everything else is easy peasy (in comparison).
  7. I'm going to move this to the proper subforum...
  8. Congrats and welcome! I can't say whether either side is "better" since I've never been to Mexico (must work on that!), but I've seen gorgeous weddings within both areas, so I'm guessing it depends on what resort you fall in love with! Maybe these links will help. Cancun/Riviera Maya Wedding Forum | Cancun/Riviera Maya Wedding Resort Reviews Puerto Vallarta Wedding Forum | Puerto Vallarta Wedding Resort Reviews

  14. Congrats and welcome to the forum! And I have to say that I read your post and was like, wow, she's got it planned way ahead of time...until I realized that it already IS 2012!
  15. Congrats and welcome to the forum! And I'm with you on learning new things, there are so many ideas/vendors that I never heard of before coming here!
  16. I think it could be really cute. But if you don't love it, don't pick it just for the price. If you shop around enough, you will find something that you and your girls like that isn't crazy expensive. Or wait, did you ask them if they liked it?? If you like it enough to be ok with it and they like it, you might be done shopping.
  17. Some great shots there, but for me, no doubt that #2 was the winner. Great job, photogs!!
  18. Yup, we got married at Beaches Boscobel in Ocho Rios. We had such a great time. We needed a place that wasn't too much money and was kid friendly and it just seemed to fit the bill for us. I'm sure I had complaints back closer to my wedding date, but 4 years later, I can't remember any. (Except the photographer, def hire a real photog!)
  19. I'm going to move this to the review section, but thank you for sharing!
  20. I would just search your local department stores for something less formal. My bm's wore the victoria's secret 7-in-1 convertible dress and I know there are a ton of that style out now, so that's always an option.
  21. I've seen brides do all of those options and I really think it's your call. We did a sit down dinner and it was lovely. But leaving the resort seems like it might be a cool option as well.
