  1. I am DEF going to purchase this, but have to wait a few days for my monthly paycheck to clear. I think it sounds fantastic and I def need to see results. Once I get it, I am going to get up early and make sure I do it daily, cuz I need results FAST!
  2. Cute dresses! But do you KNOW they will say yes? Cuz buying them the dress before asking them is really kinda putting them on the spot...
  3. I have to agree. I took offense to this post as well, being that I did the sand ceremony rather then do a unity candle. Our guests had never seen anything like it before and thought it was a really thoughtful inclusion in our ceremony. This forum is a place for many brides who like lots of the same things, but also lots of different things, to come and plan a wedding. It's a very supportive place to be, but you have to be careful what you say or how you say it. I choose not to do things in my ceremony as well, but I am careful not to say something is stupid b/c there may be someone else who loves that idea. And just b/c I don't like it doesn't give me the right to be judgmental of what someone else chooses to do. Please be more careful in your working in the future and good luck with whatever you chose.
  4. You don't have a menu bar for vbPlaza Menu? Hmmmm. What version are you using? "girlTalk" or "chienta"? That might matter. Not sure if it does, but it might! I view mine in girlTalk and there seems to be less forum viewing issues in that option. Let us know if it's still not working. And if it's not, perhaps you can send one of the mods a screen shot, so we can try to figure it out.
  5. So the girls that have been doing this for months, do you still think it's a great workout? I am super interested after reading thru this thread and am about to place my order on amazon, but want to see if any opinions have changed. I think I could handle 30 mins a day and I def need to do something about myself. I went on Jacqueline's bachelorette party this weekend and just saw pictures and I look like a damn sausage!
  6. OMG, we are having the exact opposite problem here, it's 90 something degrees out here and so hot that I can't even move and am still sweating just sitting on my couch. It should NOT be that hot in April/May! So I feel your pain, but in the exact opposite direction!
  7. Well, I think that the dresses are rarely picked out before the bridal party is established... But I am wondering if you have any updates for us? Photos of this dress, pattern or material? I am just hoping that it isn't so bad and perhaps just not your style. Fingers crossed anyway!
  8. I changed the title of your thread to let people know you added pics. You were unable to edit your original posting, b/c you only have an hour to do so. Any updates after that need to be done by a mod. I like what you picked out!
  9. I didn't wear mine, but I never do. I actually don't think that I've ever seen anyone wear glasses for their wedding, but I also don't think there is anything wrong with wearing them! You have really cute glasses that look nice, so if you would feel more like "you" wearing them, then I totally think that you should. If you wanted some pics without them, you could always wear your contacts for the ceremony and take them out for the reception. But I'd do what you feel most comfortable with and who cares what other people day.
  10. Abbie - you said perfectly what I was trying to say earlier. I agree 100% with what you said.
  11. Hmmmm, I might be in the minority here, but I don't really think there is anything you can do. I think that there are some things in our weddings that we just can't control. I wouldn't feel comfortable asking my friend to change/cover up something that is part of who they are.
  12. I chose the 1st pair, b/c they were the most "special". The others were cute, but in my opinion, not special enough for wedding shoes.
  13. What a nice silver lining on your year. I am all teared up now.
  14. Glad to be of service. The fabric was a last minute thing for me, but I loved the way it ended up looking, so score!
  15. Have you read the entire thread? I know the company is listed in here somewhere along with a website, but I can't recall the name since it was over a year ago....
  16. I wrapped mine up in leftover fabric from the flowergirl dresses that we made. Fabric looks nice and can be SUPER cheap, you could go to Joann (or similar store) and just find a remnant to wrap it up in. Or even find something you like and have them cut it fresh for you. I used like a blue linen-y (but not linen) material, but you could use absolutely anything you want. Then I just tied it together with wrappia, but you could use ribbon or anything you want. It was SO easy.
  17. Even weirder! I just found your newbie thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t11406
  18. Congrats, Shel! Everything looks awesome! I especially love your DIY bracelet (you could totally sell that!) and your reception dress. Can't wait to see pics of the actual wedding!!!
  19. Ab - that's weird! I just tried to find it and couldn't either. I searched for threads started by you that contained "Riu Santa Fe Review", then I tried it with just one of those words at a time and couldn't find it! Humpf. ETA: I searched all threads started by you in the Mexico section, General Information Section, and one other that I can't remember and got lots of results that were old. Do you remember which section you posted it in? That might be the easiest way to locate it. I checked the wedding review section and you never started a thread in there...
  20. No, I just did the regular search (not advanced or anything) and got results! Def a weird problem.
  21. Interesting, I just did the search for the same thing (ror wedding pack) and I got 2 results - this thread and this one - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t39360
  22. Can you give an example of what you are entering? I would like to mimic what you are doing...
  23. Amanda - sorry, only one month! It would be nice if it was 3 though woudln't it! I loved having my banner the time I won!
  24. I chose the $1000+ range, b/c for my Christmas present in 2007, I had Matt buy me laser hair removal for my bikini area. My reasoning was for the wedding, but in reality it is something that I always wanted but couldn't justify. It wasn't really worth the money, b/c the place shut down after I had only 5 treatments and my hair is slightly thinner and lighter, but it's still there. Then I did the norm - tanning, teeth whitener (otc), wax eyebrows, mani/pedi, etc. But the bulk of what was spent was on the laser hair removal.
