  1. I think you could easily include all those colors! I used orange, fuschia, deep turquoise, so you could add tan to that and it was be so pretty. If ya think about it, I had tan too, since we got married on the beach:-). I really like the weddings I see that used one main color, but I also realllllly love colors. So there was no way I could narrow it down any further.
  2. I tried to have Scriptina before too, but it only showed up in that font on some computers and it was reallllllllly tiny. Mo - I can play around to see if that's something I have access to change if you want to tell me what you want it to say...
  3. I was going to say, practically word for word, what Mo said. Please utilize the search function, and also be careful with your wording. BDW is a great tool to use to plan your wedding, but I can tell you from past experience, that people aren't going to want to help someone who has called past brides cheesy. I realize that probably wasn't your intent, to offend people. It's part of communicating online, we have to be very careful about the words that we use since the delivery is lost in the typing.
  4. What a bad BDW'r! No pics?! Congrats on making the decision though!
  5. I went to Barcelo Talanquera 2 or 3 years ago. This was the lower rated version of the Bavaro (if I remember correctly) and we had a blast! The people were the nicest at any place I had ever been to. From my experience there, I would def check out the Bavaro. So sorry I couldn't give you any info, but hope someone can help you out! I just looked it up though and it looks fantastic!! Much nicer then the one we went to.
  6. I have seen brides do both (I didn't do a TTD, but would'e used my wedding dress if I did), but I haven't heard anyone ruining their dress. Usually they end up cleaner then they were from the wedding!
  7. Did you do a search within this subforum? There are lots of support threads for brides/whoever trying to lose weight. I am sure you will find the support you need there. Also, check out the link in my siggy for helpful links about the forum.
  8. Pretty dress, but I think that material might get too clingy when wet, if you are doing a TTD in the water. Unless you like that look, it could get (too) sexy when wet.
  9. I am not sure if people are still being affected by this, but it's great of you to offer to help. Can you please post your discounted rate/special/whatever you are offering in this thread? Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by michaelwachniak Is anyone still being affected by the Swine Flu, as far as cancellations go? Or is everything getting back to normal? 10. Oh and I meant to say that they had some ultra-sheer ones with lace at the top, those could also work really well. Good luck!
  11. No, you are right, I hadn't thought of those thingys. I think black would be fine, or white for "bride", but I just googled thigh high stockings and found a site with lots of fun different kinds. There was a pink and white striped pair that was cute. But it might give you some ideas - Thigh high stockings - Sexy stockings, Sexy thigh high stockings
  12. Wow, that takes alot of nerve! I wouldn't have her in your wedding out of fear of hurting her feelings, you should have the people that you want in your wedding. I agree with Megan that you can have her participate in other ways. Or not at all, if you don't want to! And I don't think you should have to explain your choices, but if you feel that you have to, tell her that you are keeping it a small and intimate wedding party.
  13. I think black would be ok, but what about just leaving your skin? That's probably what I would do, but can you try it on with black and see what you think then?
  14. Check out the link in my siggy for lots of helpful links, but mostly for the how-to's on posting photos. Without seeing it, I think black would be fine, or none at all!
  15. you can do that yourself actually. I believe there is probably a link to it from the link in my siggy, but here is a quick summary. Go into vbplaza --> vbplaza main --> username options --> change username. I think it costs 1000 or 2000 points.
  16. I always thought they were pretty self-explanatory, until my husband gave me a hard time about our invites cuz he thought the STD's WERE our invites! So now, I understand that sometimes people just don't know. But I wouldn't send an explanation. You might want to also consider sending them a little earlier then June. Only b/c it's a DW, you want to make sure that people have enough time to make the necessary plans/save enough money to attend. I don't know why I think this, but I think 6 months is a good distance of time.
  17. I love the first one, it looks SO good on you! But keep looking if nothing screamed at you, you WILL find one that does.
  18. Thanks! And I see that your siggy is now a much nicer blue:-D. Let us know if you are having any other issues, but I have found that I lost points lots of times when trying to get fancy on the font/color. So let us know us know if you have any other issues.
  19. I am also very confused by ther car-hitting at the end, but I was wanted to say (since I just watched the DVR tonight) that I FUCKING hate Jen. I feel bad for Naomi that this is her family and no wonder she's an emotional fuck up! I feel bad that Annie is blamed for the prom and then for Naomi's boyfriend thing. BUT, I really like Silver and Ethan so much better then Silver and Dixon, for some reason, they weren't ever beleiveable as a couple. I am liking Naomi more and more, cuz I think she's such a "lost soul" and I feel bad for her. But I have always been annoyed by the principle and I really wish they would change his role/acting ability.
  20. As far as I know there isn't a list anywhere. But it looks like you have lots of points to correct it. I would try to use very simple names for the colors/fonts, cuz I have lost points in the past trying to get fancy (for me, it was usually the fonts that took my points).
  21. If you want the disk though, I would tell the photog that you plan on purchasing it in the future, so that he knows you are serious. Or even ask him about a payment plan! If you really want them, it would be awesome if he tried to work with you a bit on them. Good luck either way.
  22. Maybe a photog can chime in, but I don't think that $150-200 seems unreasonable since it was a free shoot. IF you had done a package it would be different, but he's gotta make his money somehow, ya know? So, if I could afford it, I would try to figure it out and purchase the CD. Basically for the reason that you said. I hate myself in photos like 95% of the time, but for some reason, I loved my BD photos. So I will totally reference them to feel good about myself in the future. However, if you feel that $150-200 is too much (I would opt for the edited ones as well), then you should talk to the photog and let him know what you want and what you can pay and see if there is a happy medium you can meet at. He's in a service industry, so not saying he's going to screw himself, but he will want a happy customer that will refer others to him.
  23. A full disk of my edited photos was included in my package. So since your package was free, I am sure he will want to charge something. I made my husband the book from mypublisher and thought I would do the fancy book for him in the future, but after talking to all kinds of other people that did the fancy-schmancy expensive books said not to waste my time designing it or my money buying it. SOOOO, my point is, if you already did the book, you might not have to have the CD of images. That's all if you are on a budget. Personally, I would want all the images, so that if I ever chose to do anything in the future, I had full rights to them. Has he told you how much he would charge you? If it's reasonable, I would buy it, but not necessarily do anything with it right now.
