Yup, Angel, I am! Surprise, surprise! I had posted a while ago, then had complications almost immediately. So I've been going for bloodwork every two days and having an u/s on Friday to verify all is well, so I've been kinda staying silent alot of the time, but I sure am pregnant! My unoffical due date is 02/03/10

Shower taking place 1000 miles away from home

Phyl630 - I moved your post since it was posted in a random thread, this might help you get some responses. Please be sure to post your newbie thread as well. Check out the link in my siggy for helpful hints on how the forum works, but here is the "newbie" directions thread, please start your own in the newbie section - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t795. -
I used KODAK Gallery: Print, Store & Share Digital Photos—Order KODAK Prints, Photo Books, Photo Cards & Gifts and don't have any complaints! But I am not sure what you mean by "and not have to pay to order". I gave out photoshare cards that gave the group login (which was an email account I had created just for wedding stuff) and the password and people were able to upload right to there, but if htey wanted to order something, they would have to pay for it.

Keeping in touch: Computer VS Live! Manic Monday discussion
boscobel replied to Jacqueline's topic in Random Thoughts
Ab - that's exactly right! It feels like a "chore" when it cuts into other things that you need to do/are doing. We actually don't even have a land line cuz we use the phone so infrequently. I've been screwed before when my cell was misplaced cuz then I am really outta touch! -
Boudoir pictures- what was your reason for doing them?
boscobel replied to rodent's topic in Random Thoughts
1. Who were you really taking the BD pics for? Yourself or your husband? I took them for my husband for sure, but after the fact found that I enjoyed them as well. I look alot better then I thought I would and wish I was more comfortable getting them done and enjoyed it more. He absolutely LOVED that I did that for him as well, since he knows how much I hate getting my picture taken. 2. What syle did you want for your pictures? Sexy & seductive? Glam? Elegant? Classy? Maxim-like sex kitten? Another adjective? Hmmmmm, I hadn't really thought about it before hand. I love my photos, but sometimes wished there were some more tastefully risque ones. I would say that I wanted them to be sexy and classy. 3. What was your motivation for wanting to take the pictures? Reward yourself for weight loss? Motivate yourself to get in better shape? Have a record of how hot you were in your younger days? Make yourself feel sexier? Make your husband think you are sexier? I just wanted my husband to know how much I loved him. He loves photos of me and I am really bad and hide from the camera no matter when someone tries to take a picture, so I thought this would be the best gift to give him. From his reaction, he thought so to. 4. Who do you think enjoyed the pictures more? You or your husband? I think we both equally enjoy them. He loves seeing them on the computer and I havent looked at them in a while, but when I do, I feel good about myself at that point. So it was a win/win. 5. Did seeing the pictures make you look at yourself differently? For sure! I was surprised at how good a good makeup/hair person and great photographer could make me look! 6. Was the experience good for your love life? I would say that it didn't really effect my love life really. But if it did in any way, it would def be positive. 7. If you did them again, would you do a different style? I think I would mostly do the same, but add a little bit more risque shots in as well. I really like the nude silhouette shots, but hadn't seen any like that when I was getting mine done. There are lots of shots that I have seen since that I like and would've wanted to add, but I am still really happy with what I got. 8. Do you think BD pics make sense for single women who don't have a man to gift the pictures to? Not really. Unless I am missing something here, but what would the reason be? I mean, sure it would be an ego boost, but an expensive one when it isn't a gift for someone else! 9. Did you care if your photographer was male or female? My photog was a female and also a good friend and I was still a nervous wreck, so I am not sure that I would handle a male very well. Also not sure that my husband would appreciate another man seeing me so close to naked and vulnerable. -
RBB - don't feel silly for chiming in! I am super early as well and have started to follow this thread. It's like a whole new world, all this pregnancy stuff!

Keeping in touch: Computer VS Live! Manic Monday discussion
boscobel replied to Jacqueline's topic in Random Thoughts
Hahaha, between, me, you and THE INTERNET! hhahahhahaaa. But I know what you mean. I am probably like that. I complain when I don't know anything about my friends, but I never call anyone unless it's a special occasion. I always make a phone call on birthdays or special days, but never to just chit chat. But I also always call my friends when I have news to tell, I don't wait for them to call me. So I feel like I do my part. But I hear ya on your example. It's not like you could text all that important stuff to someone. How is Chuck doing, btw? (Totally high-jacking your thread!) -

Keeping in touch: Computer VS Live! Manic Monday discussion
boscobel replied to Jacqueline's topic in Random Thoughts
I love it. I hate talking on the phone, like HATE. I rarely answer my phone cuz I usually don't hear it, but I always get back in touch with people. But you are right. The friends that don't use their email, I rarely talk to them. The only people I stay in touch with her the ones with email. I use facebook, but not really to stay in touch with my current friends, that's more for the forum girls and old-out of touch friends. Funny to, cuz I just sent Mini a 2nd email about Lauren's wedding this morning and I guess I should just text her! (She replied that she is coming, but didn't give the food option, so not a big deal really) -
Interesting thoughts, but I agree with Alyssa. And I think offering wine/beer is a good alternative. It allows people to make the decision if they want a "special" drink. I am not really crazy about the idea of setting a price limit and having the bar turn to a cash bar after the limit has been met; BUT I think having a time limit is also a good option! If dinner is at 6pm, perhaps it can be open bar from 5:30-7pm; 6-7; 6:30-7. Those are both good alternatives that you might want to check with the place to see how they price out.

I am watching the results show now and those guest dancers sucked I thought. Ok, they were good, but were they enjoying to watch? Not really. They were doing steps. Isn't that what the judges are always complaining about for the dancers? Paris - her solo was good. She's always been good, but something about her bothers me. I think it's her chin. Tony - he's cute, but he's tall. Maybe when he has a few years to mature into his huge body, he'll be a little better. I enjoyed him sometimes and sometimes I thought he sucked big time. So I think he jsut needs to work harder. Asuka - what the fuck is she doing? Seriously. That was the weirded solo I ever saw. It was like when Baby forgot the steps in Dirty Dancing and she started doing that weird dance. It didn't seem choreographed at all, or well. Vitolio - he was good, not much to say, except he should take his shirt off more often. Holla! Karla - again, what the hell? Was that choreographed or was she just doing moves? She moves well though and she's pretty, so those are 2 points that she'll always have. Jonathan - his was good, some tricks, entertaining Ok, I know it's been said before, but I HATE that we don't know some of these dancers! I wish they hadn't wasted so much time on the people who didn't make the top 20. I don't think it's fair to the top 20 that weren't followed early on compared to the ones that weren't. Cuz they have a built in following. Oh and the Sean Kingston set - they should only allow guests to use past SYTYCD contestants!

Hmmm, are you pasting it in the big white box that says "edit your signature"? There are two smaller boxes below that, that say paste URL here or upload image, but those are the wrong places. Paste the url in the bigger text box. Here is a sample of what it should looks like (I added the *, so that it would stay code) [*url=http://ticker.7910.org/eng][*img]http://ticker.7910.org/as1cHmBcso00500NDZibHN8NDMyanxUaWwgb3VyIDJuZCBBbm5 pdmVyc2FyeSE.gif[/img]

Thanks for the clarification Michele! I couldn't remember from last season and I havent' watched the episode from last night yet...
-
I forget, is it that a couple gets eliminated each week, or just the lowest male and female? Cuz Tony & Paris were partners, right? So b/c he was not that great, did that mean she was automatically out?

Kelly - I am new to this whole pregnancy thing, what does it mean that you lost your plug? Your water broke? Don't laugh at me if I am way off, I have no clue!
-
I think that was THE best 1st show ever. I think all the routines were good, I don't think anyone was bad. But Melissa and Ade blew everyone out of the water, their routine was INCREDIBLE! I barely remember anyone else now.

I am a little shocked at the lack of respect that your father apparently has for your wedding. To say that if his g/f can't come then he won't either is so juvenile that I don't even know how I would respond to that if it were my father. I thnk I'd probably tell him that he wasnt' welcome then either (I'd probably regret saying that later, but still) You seem to have a good attitude about it and I am really happy for that. You deserve to have a wedding with as little drama as possible, so I hope you get it!

I know, for my sister, she had a couple lightweight ones and just kept them in the trunks of different cars. It makes it easier, so it's totally a preference. Like when I lived with her and her ex, I had an extra car-seat in my car and they both had car seats in their cars (free or cheap from garage sales for the extras) and she left lightweight strollers in each cars trunks. That way we were never at the mall like "oh crap, we forgot a stroller!"
